The Jockey Club would like to thank our Group Partners for their support in 2026
DANIEL CRAGGS General Manager, Huntingdon Racecourse
Welcome back to Huntingdon Racecourse for what promises to be another enjoyable and competitive afternoon of racing here in Cambridgeshire.
We are delighted to welcome our raceday sponsors, Weatherbys, and I would like to extend our sincere thanks for their valued support. Their continued involvement plays an important role in helping us deliver high-quality racing and an excellent experience for all our racegoers.
Today also provides a special opportunity to recognise one of our own.
Following the first race, we invite you to join us in the Parade Ring as we congratulate our groundsman, Daniel Hayes, on receiving the Richard Linley Award. This award recognises his passion, enthusiasm and hard work since joining the team in June 2024, following a 10-year career in His Majesty’s Forces. In that time, Daniel has already completed both the Level 2 and Level 3 Racecourse Turf Management courses, alongside additional training to further develop his skills. It is a thoroughly well-deserved achievement, and one we are extremely proud to celebrate.
My thanks, as always, go to our owners, trainers, jockeys and stable staff for their continued support, and to our dedicated team here at the racecourse. From our grounds and maintenance teams to those working across operations, catering, sales, marketing and customer relations, their commitment ensures that every raceday runs smoothly and that all our visitors are warmly welcomed.
Whether you are here to follow the form closely or simply to enjoy a day out, we hope you make the most of everything on offer and have an enjoyable and memorable visit.
Thank you for joining us, and I wish all connections the very best of luck this afternoon.

Choose your bet. ‘To win’ or ‘each-way’ are popular types of bet.
‘To win’ is for your horse to come first.
‘Each-way’ is for your horse to come first or to be placed. It’s two bets, so ‘£2 each-way’ = £4 total bet.
Decide the amount – or stake – you are comfortable to bet.
Place your bet. There are different places to bet on course; The Tote, racecourse bookmakers, betting shop or online. Each option offers a different experience.
Collect. Once ‘Weighed-in’ has been announced, present your betting slip and collect any winnings.

Castanea Breeze has finished first or second in all 4 handicaps and rates an obvious danger in a change of headgear Glengolly is next on the list.

An interesting bumper in which the market will likely offer up plenty of clues. GEORGIE TOO has an attractive pedigree and is taken to continue the good run of the stable with its bumper horses in making a winning start. St Marys Wantage is another newcomer to note being out of a bumper winner, while Merry Wood was value for extra when winning her completed start in France and is open to improvement for her new yard
