Orange County School of the Arts (OCSA), a public charter school located in the heart of Santa Ana, California, provides a six-year comprehensive academic and arts conservatory program to students in grades 7-12. Established in 1987, OCSA is one of the premier arts schools in the nation, where aspiring young artists have the opportunity to refine their skills and flourish in one of 17 pre-professional arts conservatories. OCSA provides a rigorous college-preparatory academic program that produces high-achieving, motivated scholars. For nearly four decades, the school has impacted thousands of students, molding generations of creative thinkers, leaders, artists, innovators, and entrepreneurs.

We cannot do what we do at OCSA without the support of the generous families, foundations, and corporations who invest in the school. The OCSA experience has impacted tens of thousands of students – equipping generations of artist-scholars for higher education and the 21st century workforce. The impact of an arts education cannot be overstated, as evidenced by the outstanding accomplishments of countless OCSA students and alumni in both academic and artistic fields; however, the OCSA impact stretches far beyond our talented student artists and into the Santa Ana and greater Southern California communities.
Throughout its history, OCSA has:
• Invested $70 million in local economic development
• Created more than 1,000 new jobs
• Presented extracurricular arts and academic classes to more than 15,000 children through CSArts Academy, offering sponsorship support to students in need
• Provided 3,200 Santa Ana students with full-time arts and academic education
• Given uplifting performances to 500,000 community members through the Gluck Community Service Arts Fellowship, which provides free arts enrichment opportunities within the Santa Ana community
Each year, OCSA:
• Gives $500,000 – $700,000 in financial scholarships to students in need, ensuring they have access to the full OCSA experience
• Provides $50,000 in financial assistance for children to partake in extracurricular arts classes through CSArts Academy
• Spends approximately $500,000 with Santa Ana contractors and vendors
• Supports more than 85 student-run community service clubs
• Welcomes approximately 200 students who commute through Metrolink at the Santa Ana Train Station
• Employs approximately 50 Santa Ana residents who work as teachers, administrators, and support staff
• Employs approximately 80 OCSA alumni in full- and part-time capacities
• Presents a free annual Community Arts Festival to the local community

I would like to extend my utmost appreciation to Orange County School of the Arts and their community arts programs, through which both my son and daughter discovered new passions and friendships. The OCSA students and instructors not only gave them encouragement and a safe environment, but a love of the arts that renewed their spirits. As a parent, I am truly thankful.”
