ABOUT THE ARTIST JILLIAN BARTON, voice

Jillian Barton is a fourth-year music education major at West Chester University, demonstrating a lifelong dedication to music that began at an early age. Her musical journey commenced with active involvement in band and choir during her formative years. Jillian's commitment to musical excellence expanded as she engaged in numerous musical ensembles, including PMEA district and All-State choir, as well as NATS (Lehigh Valley Chapter) and NATS Gala Recital. Additionally, her passion for musical theater further enriched her artistic experiences. Under the tutelage of esteemed instructors such as Corrine Mammna, Jillian cultivated her vocal and piano skills through six years of private lessons, seizing countless opportunities to showcase her talents through performances. Prior to her university studies, Jillian attended Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, where she continued to deepen her musical and vocal knowledge. During her tenure at West Chester University, Jillian has continued to excel as a musician, actively participating in various ensembles such as Allegro Voices and Mastersingers. Her unwavering dedication to musical education and performance underscores her commitment to musical excellence and her ongoing pursuit of artistic growth. Jillian has competed in freshman, sophomore, and junior scholarship competition here at West Chester University. After graduation, Jillian hopes to start her working experience and get a job. She hopes in the future she’ll be able to receive her Master Degree as well to further her teaching and education.
