ABOUT THE ARTIST Liam Turnage, keys, drums Liam Turnage is a composer and producer based in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Starting from scratch, he incorporates different genres and styles to create an impactful cinematic experience for his listeners. In particular, Liam enjoys writing music for video games, soundtracks, ambience, and live performances. To enhance his writing, Liam creates his own sample libraries with unique sounds for his projects. Liam’s musical journey began as a toddler. After picking up drumsticks for the first time, he developed a natural rhythm using his father’s electric drum set. He played in Preschool and his family band where he developed a love for rock music. As he grew, Liam discovered Garageband and began composing, recording, and producing songs for his peers. During the Covid-19 Pandemic, Liam composed and produced his first video game mod soundtrack, Age of Empires III: Wars of Liberty. . While crafting his music scores as a freelance video game composer, his musical taste was enriched and his interest sparked to score for film. Currently, Liam attends West Chester University and will be attaining the Music Studio Composition degree in May of 2026. During his time at the university, Liam was selected to participate in two undergraduate research projects: Summer Undergraduate Research Institute (SURI) and Student Undergraduate Research Foundation (SURF). His research was focused on developing sample libraries to build Virtual Studio Technology instruments. Upon graduation, Liam will be launching his sample company Samplee with his fiancée. Focusing on ambient and live music, Liam has collaborated with peers, professors, and institutions in the West Chester and Philadelphia area. Aside from his composing and studies, Liam is the drummer in a local cover band Last Minute Changes. Liam’s experience in drumming, production, and scoring has made him a versatile composer who is always willing to share his love and passion for the cinematic music he loves to create.
