Understanding Registration/Activity Codes and How to Use Them WCPR activities that require registration through WCPR’s ActiveNet registration system will be listed with a five digit code. The code is a unique identifier that can be used to search for that activity directly. In order to register for an activity, please click directly on the registration code listed in this guide or visit wcparksandrec.com. On the homepage, click on the big blue button that says “Online Registration.” Once taken to the next page, you can input the activity code into the search bar to be taken directly to that activity’s registration page. SITTING SERVICE - FOR AGES 6 WEEKS TO 7 YEARS -
Free to parents/legal guardians utilizing the recreation facilities and amenities Drop the kids off at KidsCare so you can enjoy your workout, class or activity knowing they are being supervised in a fun and enriching environment. Kids will have the chance to participate in new specialized activities such as Fitness Fun, Art and Music Activities along with Story Time. New games and toys encourage motor skill development and interaction with our KidsCare Attendants. The service is available to parents/legal guardians only, who are utilizing the recreation facilities and amenities as a pass holder or have paid general admission. Due to limited participation numbers established by state regulations, we offer this program to our patrons as a limited time service, available on a first come, first served basis. Capacity is limited. This is not a guaranteed service to patrons and/or facility pass holders. ■ Facility locations offering KidsCare - Policies, procedures and hours of operation:

The Certified Pool and Spa Operator (CPO) certification program is the world’s leading education and certification program for keeping pools safer and keeping them open. American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor and Instructor Trainer Recertification
This course meets the recertification requirements for American Red Cross Lifeguarding Instructors and Lifeguarding Instructor Trainers. Participants must be either a current LGI or LGIT, or within 1 year of their expiration date. Enrollees will receive additional information approximately 1 week before the class date. American Red Cross Lifeguard Training
Join the Red Cross Lifeguard Course and gain the skills and confidence to save lives! This comprehensive program is designed for aspiring lifeguards, combining classroom instruction with hands-on training in water rescue techniques, first aid, and CPR. Participants will learn how to assess risks, prevent accidents, and respond effectively in emergencies. Prerequisites: • Must be at least 15 years old • Must be able to swim 200 yards • Must be able to tread water using only the legs for 2 minutes • Must swim 20 yards, retrieve a 10 lbs. object from 9’ of water, and return to starting point within 1 min. 40 sec. This is a Blended Learning course. Participants will receive an email with a link to complete the online portion of the course approximately one week before the first in-person class. Acrylic Painting Class

Bob Ross Certified Oil Painting
Join Certified Ross Instructor®, Quintin Burlingame, as he leads students of all skill levels through the Bob Ross Wet-on-Wet Technique® made famous on the PBS program, The Joy of Painting®. In Storybook Crafts, students will imagine life as delicate woodland and water creatures, exploring fairytales filled with goldfish glimmers, mermaid dreams, hummingbird songs, and fairy sparkle. Then, they will create crafts including miniatures, jewelry, gems, glitter, and more! In this class, children will gather for a cozy storytelling circle and read Memoirs of a Goldfish! With plenty of chances to explore their creativity, each student will get to create a variety of goldfish-themed crafts, such as a fish bowl, wooden ornament, thaumatrope and a miniature surprice. Step into a supportive, creative space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions through art journaling. This class is designed to help you gently move past the resistance of the blank page with simple techniques, playful prompts, and a relaxed atmosphere that encourages curiosity rather than perfection. Whether you’re seeking self-expression, stress relief, or a new way to connect with yourself, you’ll find room here to create freely and confidently. Chess Club
This class welcomes students of all skill levels, from absolute beginners to advanced players. It aims to foster a love for the game, achieve rapid improvement, and teach good sportsmanship for tournament play. Primrose Sewing | Fall Weekly Classes
Kids can learn the valuable life skill of sewing! Primrose Sewing welcomes girls and boys (ages 7 - 14 years) to register for Fall Weekly Youth Classes at the Franklin Rec. Complex! The six-week session in September and October is designed to teach children and teens how to develop and improve their sewing skills! Students will use sewing machines, choose their own fabrics, and make custom projects! In the small group classes, students will sew a Bowtie Pillow, a Patchwork Centerpiece, a Jellyfish Plushie, a Reusable Grocery Bag, a Surprise Project, and Reusable Grocery Bags for a local food pantry! The classes are all identical and are available for youth of all skill levels. Rising Stars Auditions – You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown (Revised)
The spring 2027 Rising Stars production will be You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, a revue of songs and vignettes based on the beloved Charles Schulz comic strip. Happiness is great musical theatre! With charm, wit and heart, You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown explores life through the eyes of Charlie Brown and his friends in the Peanuts gang. Audience favorite musical numbers include “My Blanket and Me,” “The Kite,” “The Baseball Game,” “Little Known Facts,” “Suppertime” and “Happiness.”
Please refer to our website HERE in late September for important pre-audition information and forms, including the ability to sign up for auditions. Note: If younger than 4th grade, you can “grandfather” to audition if you have been a cast member previously in a Rising Stars production. Callbacks for some of those auditioning will be Saturday, October 31 at the Enrichment Center from 9:00am - 12:00pm. If you do not get a call back, it does not mean that you will not be cast. Star Bright Players Present – Into the Woods
For the late Summer/early Fall of 2026, the Star Bright Players will produce one of Stephen Sondheim’s most popular works, the musically sophisticated Into the Woods. The story follows a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King’s Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch’s curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone’s wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results. Little Stars – Tall Tales
Calling all future performers! Does your little one love to sing, dance, or act? Here’s your chance to watch them shine! This 8-week class meets for one hour each week and will feature favorite songs surrounding the theme Tall Tales. During class, participants will learn music, choreography, and lines from a script. They will present all that they have learned in an exciting Showcase on the last night of class. Little Stars is a great way to gain confidence, develop performance skills, and have fun. The STAR Program – Shrek the Musical KIDS For the Fall of 2026, the STAR Program classes will offer Shrek The Musical KIDS, based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film and fantastic Broadway musical. It’s a “big bright beautiful world” as everyone’s favorite ogre, Shrek, leads a cast of fairytale misfits on an adventure to rescue a princess and find true acceptance. Once upon a time, in a far away swamp, there lived an ogre named Shrek. One day, Shrek finds his swamp invaded by banished fairytale misfits who have been cast off by Lord Farquaad, a tiny terror with big ambitions. When Shrek sets off with a wisecracking donkey to confront Farquaad, he’s handed a task — if he rescues feisty princess Fiona, his swamp will be righted. Shrek tries to win Fiona’s love and vanquish Lord Farquaad, but a fairytale wouldn’t be complete without a few twists and turns along the way.

The Williamson County Community Band is an all-volunteer band of amateur and seasoned musicians. This intergenerational group features approximately 60 musicians ranging in age from pre-teen to upper 80s and is made up of all skill levels. Everyone is welcome to pick up their instrument and join the band. Started in 2000, this band has grown and gained musical recognition and acclaim over the years throughout Williamson County and the surrounding mid-state area. Averaging several concerts a year, they perform free indoor and outdoor concerts for the community at various venues and parks, including The Williamson County Enrichment Center, The Factory, Aspen Grove, Westhaven, the Brentwood Library, Crockett Amphitheatre and the Schermerhorn Symphony Center. WCPR’s Rhythm & Spirit Dance Program is a non-competitive Dance Program in Williamson County that offers high quality dance education taught by professionally trained staff at an affordable rate. Here at Rhythm & Spirit we strive to create an environment of creativity, inclusivity, and positivity for dancers of all ages and skill levels to dance together as one unified body. Through the artistic sport of dance, we celebrate the individual dancer as well as cherish the beautiful community we call home. Registration is underway and will remain open until November 6 and includes participation in the Spring Recital. Tuition is conveniently broken into two payments, where the initial payment is due at the time of registration and the second semester payment will be due by January 4.
Adult Classes
Leaps & Turns is a Jazz / Contemporary Technique based class that focuses on conditioning dancers for high quality leaps and turns! This 9-week class is designed as a conditioning-based class! Winter Ballet Auditions
Winter Ballet Auditions: All dancers are encouraged to register for the Winter Ballet before auditions so they can receive important email updates and announcements throughout the audition and rehearsal process. Registration guarantees participation in the Winter Ballet production. Auditions are not used to determine who is accepted into the production; instead, they help the artistic staff determine each dancer’s role and placement within the show. Commitment: Please ensure you and your dancer can commit to the rehearsal schedule and performance date. The parent/guardian must let us know in writing before an absence. Any additional absences could affect your dancer’s continued participation in the ballet with no refund. Rehearsals will take place at the Franklin Rec Center every Saturday from September 26 to November 14. A dress rehearsal will be held at the Performing Arts Center on Friday, November 20 and Performance will be on Saturday, November 21.

Voice Lessons With Jada Cato
Jada Cato is a singer/songwriter who has graced stages across the world with her powerful voice, emotional lyrics, and animated storytelling. Jada is vocally trained in opera/classical, pop/rock, jazz, country, and musical theatre. With a BA in Theatre from Birmingham-Southern College, this rising star teaches workshops and private lessons in voice, acting, and performance. She also provides somatic movement consultations and workshops to give artists tools to cope with performance anxieties. Lessons available to students ages 11 and up at the Enrichment Center and Nolensville Rec Center. Group Piano Lessons
This piano group class will be structured as small interactive coaching classes. Students will use their iPad/ tablet to access the music app that’s been selected to help with learning. The class is designed to give students exposure to piano and music, while mitigating the isolation aspect of individual piano coaching. Students will have the opportunity to learn scales and theory together. However, they will also be able to practice individual pieces that are assigned (or at times, pieces they have been allowed to choose). This class is designed to allow individual students to receive both coaching and peer support. Lastly these classes will allow each student to perform small increments of music for their group to build confidence and musicianship. Ukulele
Learning to play a musical instrument helps a child develop confidence and make the connection between effort and accomplishment. The ukulele is a great instrument for a child to learn because it is easy to master, very portable, and encourages the child to sing. In this class, students will learn to play the ukulele and accompany themselves singing some of their favorite songs. By the end of the program students will have learned 15 chords and 15 songs, and will have the tools to learn other songs on their own. The ukulele provides a smooth transition to the guitar if they are so inclined when they get a little older. Students can bring their own ukulele or check one out from the instructor for use in class and to practice at home for the duration of the class. Senior Hikes & Senior Sport Trips “TAKE A HIKE” WITH US!
Each month, we will hit some local trails to walk and hike, enjoy a golf outing, a canoe adventure, experience zip-lining and more. Participants on hikes must be able to walk independently on different types of terrain. Some places we go may have easy or more difficult experiences for seniors to choose from. You will need to provide your own snacks and water for hiking outings, and lunch may be an option offered on some sport trips. These outings are weather dependent and if we need to cancel the outing we will notify everyone as soon as possible. Departure and return times vary. To see a current list of activites, visit HERE.

The WCPR Therapeutics Division is comprised of Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialists (CTRS) who assist people with disabilities in developing skills, knowledge and behavior for daily living and community involvement. We work to improve the physical, cognitive, social and leisure needs of the participant. Our goal is to improve leisure functioning and independence. We currently offer Therapeutic programs at two WCPR recreation facilities: Franklin Recreation Complex and Williamson County Recreation Complex at Nolensville.

Therapeutics Fitness Fun
Come join us and get fit and have fun at the same time. We begin with stretching by using exercises and resistance bands then transition into strengthening with light hand weights and stability balls. We complete our workout with a 30 minute walk.
