The Wynberg Basketball tournament kicked off on a high note, welcoming 19 competitive teams, including newly added Grey High School, to Wynberg Boys' High School to battle it out for the coveted title. Although unexpected rain on Saturday threw a curveball, Pinelands High School kindly offered their indoor venue, allowing most of the scheduled fixtures to proceed smoothly. By Sunday, the weather cleared, and the action went off without a hitch. Powerhouses Westerford and SACS displayed exceptional skill, each securing spots in the final pool stages of both the U16 and U19 divisions. In an intense U16 final, DSK faced Blouberg Academy, but Blouberg ultimately claimed the championship title. The Wynberg U19A blazed straight through the tournament to reach the grand final against SACS. In a thrilling championship matchup, SACS ultimately clinched the U19 title. U16 Top 4 1 Blouberg Academy 2 DSK 3 SACS 4 Westerford
U19 Top 4 1 SACS 2 Wynberg 3 Pinelands 4 Westerford
Congratulations to all sides on the high level of sportsmanship and competition!
