Here are a few updates from the Pathways team for May:
Working on an article this summer? Want feedback on a grant application? The Graduate and Professional Studies (GPS) Writing Center is open year-round for submissions from faculty and staff members as well as from students enrolled in any GPS program. Appointments can be made through WCOnline on the “WC Etutoring” schedule. Email Kari Hanlin, GPS Writing Center Administrator, with any questions via kari.hanlin@waynesburg.edu.
The Writing Center is still accepting applications for Writing Center tutors for the 2026-2027 academic year Students should email sscott@waynesburgedu with a sample research paper, a sample of writing in any other genre, and the name of an instructor as a reference
Have any star students in your class this term? Make sure to recommend them as tutors for the fall! The earlier students are identified and enrolled, the smoother the transition into the next semester Ask them how they feel about working with your next class: it's a paid position, and they choose their hours! Recommend a student here
The Pathways Center has a new Graduate Assistant! Give a warm welcome to recent WU graduate Sydney Gilbert ('26), who is starting her role as the Pathways GA in mid-May!
