The purpose of this newsletter is to keep faculty and staff informed of upcoming campus events and cross-campus news; it is produced by The Administrative Staff Development Committee.

Division Updates

The Pathways Center

Students can now schedule Writing Center and Peer Tutoring appointments using WCOnline (linked on myConnect). Faculty who wish to make a tutor recommendation can use the form on myConnect or contact Jaime Emerson.

The Career Closet walk-in hours are set! Encourage students who need access to free professional clothing to stop by Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9-11 a.m. or 1-3 p.m. While these are available staffed hours, students are welcome to visit the Career Closet any time.

The Pathways Weekly Professional Showcase Series continues this month with the following visiting employers in Stover:

Children's Home of Pittsburgh and Urban Promise (February 4)

PA Department of Corrections and A Christian Ministry in the Parks (February 11)

Big Brothers, Big Sisters Pittsburgh and the Philly Project (February 18)

Shafer Counseling Services and WVU Medicine (February 25)

Future Professionals Day is scheduled to take place on campus on Thursday, February 19 During this event, students will have the opportunity to engage in a range of professional development opportunities, including:

Mock Interviews with Guest Interviewers (Sign Up Required), 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Networking Workshop: The Link-Up Lounge, Hosted by Kayla Green, 3 p.m. in the library

Career Closet Clothing Pop Up, 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., 1 Floor of Stover st

Ask-a-Senior Virtual Q&A Session, Hosted by Senior Professional Studies Major Sekye Miles, MS Teams (Sign Up)

Etiquette Luncheon (Sign Up Required), Hosted by Dr. Mindy Walls, 12:30 p.m. in the Baily Glass Room, Benedum

Business Card Design Workshop (Sign Up Required), Hosted by Sophomore Digital Design

Waynesburg University Relay For Life

Greetings Waynesburg Faculty, Staff, and Students!

The Center for Service Leadership and Student Engagement will be hosting a mini Relay for Life on Campus Save the date for April 16 !th

In the meantime, we are participating in the American Cancer Society’s Daffodil Days fundraiser Daffodil Days is an opportunity for everyone to join the American Cancer in saving lives, celebrating lives, and leading the fight for a world without cancer The sales from this fundraiser will go to the overall Team goal for Waynesburg University & Greene County

You can order the following:

Bunch of Daffodils: $15

Mini-Potted Daffodils: $20

Bunch of Tulips (assorted colors): $15

Gift of Hope: $25 – rather than receive, flowers will be donated to a local hospital, cancer center, nursing home facility

Orders will be delivered to campus the week of March 23rd

God Cares About : Conversation Series

Join us on Wednesdays in the Baily Glass Room in the dining hall. We believe God cares about the everyday stuff of life and faith, learning and service should be integrated. All students, staff, and faculty are welcome to come and engage in conversations around a different academic discipline or area of life each week.
