Here to provide you insight, updates, and information on your student's experience at WU
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome Spring! It is hard to believe that we are mid-way through the spring semester The campus has been extremely active! Spring sports have officially started, the spring musical will begin this month and, we will fulfill the university’s mission of service through local, domestic and international spring break service trips There are many ways that your student can become involved in the university community! Spring Break is here and the residence halls are closed and will re-open Sunday, March 8, at noon. It is difficult to believe that Easter is right around the corner Classes will not meet on Good Friday, April 3. Classes will resume on Monday, April 6, at 6 pm Residence halls and the Aladdin Campus Dining will remain open for Easter Break For transportation between campus and Pittsburgh, the Grey Line is the primary provider and runs 365 days a year, www.busride.org. Waynesburg University will supplement their schedule with student-operated shuttles during the designated dates and times. Please have your student reserve 5 business days in advance by completing the Shuttle Reservation Form located on myConnect under the Transportatin Link As always, we are here to support your student and assist you with any questions along the way Please do not hesitate to contact us at (724) 852-3206.

Who is eligible to pre-register?:
Students with 60+ credits completed Thursday, April 2 12:30 p.m.
Students with 30+ credits completed Thursday, April 9 12:30 p.m.
Students with <30 credits completed Thursday, April 16 12:30 p.m.
·Students will need to schedule a meeting with their assigned academic advisor to obtain authorization to pre-register.
>To prepare for the advising meeting, students are encouraged to review their Academic Catalog, which contains major and general education requirements, course descriptions, recommended sequencing, etc.
· To increase chances of securing a seat in preferred courses, students are strongly advised to schedule as early as possible (see table above).
· Courses can be added to a virtual cart before the eligible date, but registration still needs to be processed via Self Service for enrollment to occur.
· Students do not always get the exact schedule they prefer. As such, having a few alternate course options is suggested.
Notes:
·Students simply complete an online course withdrawal form. Advisor approval is needed, so students are encouraged to seek advising consultation prior to completing the form.
·Students must be enrolled in 12 credits to maintain full-time status. Dropping below full-time status would have athletic eligibility implications and could possibly affect residency status and/or financial aid.
·Consultation with an advisor and/or other support offices is suggested (and may be necessary) if withdrawing from a course which leads to fewer than 12 credits.
·Disclaimer: This is the withdrawal deadline for a large majority of classes. However, we do offer a few courses that meet only half of the semester; the deadline for these courses would be different.

The students in HSC 209: Public and Community Health have been spreading warmth and kindness during Midterm Week, Spring 2026. They have placed visual Acts of Kindness (AoK) on the windows of the 4th-floor common area in Stewart Hall. These creations are designed to encourage and uplift everyone who passes through the space.
As part of this activity, students were asked to create visual expressions of kindness, which may include:
Writing a passage (Scripture, poem, or quote)
Drawing a picture
Other visual depictions are intended to inspire and promote positivity within our community We hope that these thoughtful displays bring encouragement and joy to all who see them.

If you want to apply for federal, state and/or WU aid for the 2026-27 academic year, NOW is the time to complete your FAFSA at www.studentaid.gov.
