Whether you're a student or a family member, this experience is designed to help you feel informed, prepared, and excited for what’s ahead.

�� Program starts at 12:30 p.m. Lunch is provided for each student and two guests and additional meals can be purchased at the door.
✨ Want a head start? Arrive as early as 9:30 a.m. to visit campus offices like Financial Aid, Admissions or the Business Office.

This program is designed to help you transition smoothly into college life by introducing you to academic support services, campus resources, student life opportunities and tips for a successful first year.

Important Reminder to All Students
If you have not already done so, please complete the following:
Medical Forms (Print, take to your doctor, and mail to Student Development by July 31) Athletes - Athletic Training Medical Form- this form, in addition to the required Medical Forms listed above, is required for all new student athletes (Follow the electronic portal directions)
Resident Students - Your new student housing form will be available in THD (The Housing Director) under the Apps and Contracts Tab
Commuting Students - Your student contract and food service contract (if you signed up for a meal plan) will be available in the THD (The Housing Director) under the Apps and Contracts Tab.

Upon arrival, please visit the 3rd floor of the Stover Campus Center to check in.
Please carefully review the arrival dates and times for all new students. In addition, there is a new section on the website "New Student Resources." Please take the time to look at this important information pertaining to arrival, move-in day and the New Jacket Orientation schedule.
Fall student athletes or those involved in campus programs will be arriving on campus earlier than other new students. Those scheduled to arrive early will receive information from the coach or program director. All new students, even those who arrive on campus early, are required to attend New Jacket Orientation August 20- 23 and participate in all New Jacket Orientation activities throughout the weekend.
Incoming freshmen and their families are invited to join us via Microsoft Teams on Wednesdays at 6 pm for informational sessions with staff members across campus on topics related to next steps, orientation and more. Attend one session or attend them all. The scheduled topics and dates are listed in the schedule below.

Public Safety News
Waynesburg University is blessed to reside in a beautiful and safe community. Our office works hand-in-hand with both the Waynesburg Borough Police Department and the Pennsylvania State Police We use Everbridge, an emergency alert system, that informs students of an emergency via your student email and your cell phone number. This could include, but not limited to, inclement weather, and campus and/or community emergencies.
Parking on campus is overseen by the WU Department of Public Safety. All new students are permitted to have a vehicle on campus If you are planning to have a car on campus, please complete the University Parking Permit form If you have any additional questions regarding parking, please feel free to contact the Department of Public Safety. Their office is located in the Stover Campus Center. The office is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. They can be reached at (724)852-3303. lf there is no one in the Public Safety office, please use the phone located outside their office. It will ring to their cell phone for assistance.
Textbooks
To find required textbooks and course materials, students are encouraged to click on the “Follett Discover” icon on the myConnect homepage.
Because your schedule is still tentative, if you purchase textbooks before coming to campus, it is possible that your required textbooks may change For this reason:

Clubs and Activities
Part of your learning experience while at college involves growing, developing social relationships and having fun. WU's Student Activities Board (SAB) is one of the largest student organizations on campus, as it plans and sponsors numerous campus-wide events and outings. All student clubs and organizations exist because a student or a group of students wanted them to exist; so if you have an interest and there’s no club to match it, go ahead and use this link to propose a new student club!
Counseling Center Welcomes You
The Waynesburg University Counseling Center is pleased to welcome you to campus. It is our mission to provide a free, safe and confidential space for any student who is struggling with personal or academic concerns or for students having trouble choosing a career path. Our full-time counselors are experienced, licensed professionals.
Counseling services are available in-person or online to WU students Ed Sutter is the Director of the Counseling Center. You can email counseling@waynesburg.edu and you will be sent a link to Theralink, the online telehealth platform. Once you accept the invitation, an appointment can be scheduled and access to the link is emailed to you. This allows the counselor and student to meet in an online face-to-face meeting platform. Theralink is HIPAA compliant and confidential
Students who visit our Center for personal or mental health counseling typically come to us regarding adjustment issues, anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, eating disorders, grieving, and alcohol and drug issues. Those who visit us for academic counseling are typically students who are exploring various majors, those who need study skill development, and those with test anxiety issues
In the area of career counseling, students will often seek our knowledge to help with career exploration and to assist them with changing their major. Counseling services at Waynesburg University are free to all enrolled students and are strictly confidential. Schedules
For students who submitted their New Student forms on or before 4PM on June 15:
You are likely already familiar with your tentative Fall schedule E-mails with details on how to access your course schedule were sent to your WU student e-mail account either in mid-May or late June. Students in these early distribution groups will be notified via e-mail should their schedules need to be changed (except for Fiat Lux assignments)
Students who have yet to submit New Student forms or those who have submitted their New Student forms after 4PM on June 15: You will receive the notification e-mail referenced above sometime in late July/early Aug.
Rest assured, you will still be placed into required courses for the initially-selected major, but some course availability is dwindling. Your schedule will likely be created sometime before the end of July, but will be subject to change without notification until you receive the formal e-mail
Here are a few additional important details to highlight: Please remember that schedules are still tentative. For the current version of your schedule, please refer to the online schedule in Self Service. A large number of schedules will be changing in June and July due to the assigning of specific Fiat Lux sections.
If you decide to change the major selected on your New Student form, please complete the New Student Major Change Form
IMPORTANT REMINDER!
Students with college or AP credits should be sure to send OFFICIAL transcripts and/or AP scores to the University Office of Records and Registration.
High school transcripts will not suffice for the awarding of college credit.

Financial Aid
If you want to discuss your financial aid options for the upcoming year, don’t hesitate to contact the office at 724-852-3208 or finaid@waynesburg.edu. In addition to the University’s payment plan, the Federal Parent PLUS Loan and Alternative/Private Loan options, we encourage all students to pursue outside scholarship opportunities at www.fastweb.com, www.tuitionfundingsources.com, www.scholarshipowl.com and/or www.scholarships.com.

Business Office
New Student Billing Statements:
Fall statements will be mailed out to new students at the end of June and will include the refund policy/terms of payment, instructions for accessing their online tuition account, and a fall checklist.
Billing statements are sent electronically, however, for new students the initial billing statement and information will also be mailed home. All future statements will be sent electronically
Electronic statements for new students will also be sent out at the end of June. When they are sent out, an email notification will be sent to the student’s WU email. It is important that students check their WU email for communications.
When the fall tuition statement and information is received, please follow the instructions for the student to access their online tuition account. Students should add at least one authorized party to their account for whom they want us to be able to discuss their tuition account and to have access to their online tuition account and statements.
Payment plan information is available on the student's online tuition site or by contacting the Business Office.
Due to fiscal year closing, the payment function of the online tuition site will be unavailable from June 30 through July 1 and will reopen on July 2.
