Before the first Day Checklist

BEFORE THE FIRST DAY CHECKLIST First things, first- you will need to know where to go! Use the map above to identify parking and campus buildings. Pro tip: do a trial run, so you know where everything is and how long it takes to get there.

FOLLET DISCOVER

You can check your schedule online here. Do not rely on an old printed schedule; room assignments and times may have changed. In the future, you will check midterm/final grades here as well as register for classes. This is where you can find your advisor as well- make sure to reach out to them during your first week!

Find out what your required books are and compare new/used/rental prices and text formats (electronic/hardback/paper). Some people suggest waiting until the first day of classes to purchase books, but there are classes that “hit-the-ground running” and waiting could delay your access to materials necessary to succeed. If you buy books in advance, save receipts and review the return policies, just in case.

EMAIL

CANVAS

Get in the habit of checking your Waynesburg e-mail routinely. Set up your Waynesburg email on your phone, so you never miss an important notification.

Canvas is where university/class materials are posted. You will want to check these courses to make sure there are not any assignments or trainings that need completed before classes.
