Updates from the Dean Dear Parents and Guardians, Happy New Year! It is our hope that you and your family had a blessed holiday season! Here’s to a new semester filled with life-changing opportunities, different subjects, and continuing to make the connections between faith, learning and service. As Dean of Students, it is my role to foster a healthy, safe, and inviting University community. This is so all students can focus on pursuing their educational goals and maximizing their full potential. It’s a new year to try new things! Encourage your student to join a student organization or participate in campus activities. Both can help your student to connect with the WU community, meet new friends, and make lifelong memories. Student Development wants your student to feel connected, involved, invested in the community, and help your student grow to lead a life of purpose for the Glory of God. KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Dec. 18) – Junior Julz Mohrbacher (Freedom, Pa. / Freedom) added to her already impressive postseason awards haul by receiving national attention for her excellence in the classroom. Mohrbacher was honored as a 2025 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Women’s Scholar All-American. Mohrbacher received third-team laurels as a Digital Design major and carries a 3.88 grade point average. This past season, the standout forward helped lead Waynesburg to its winningest season in program history (17-3-2), a spot in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) championship game and the first Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) title in recorded program history. Individually, she was named first-team All-PAC, first-team All-ECAC and first-team United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Region VII. Mohrbacher was also honored for her academic achievements as a first-team College Sports Communicators Academic All-District award winner, a member of the United Soccer Coaches Scholar AllEast Region team and the PAC SAAC Scholar-Athlete of the Month for November.

"Prosecuting Attorney" Emily Stutzman conducts a direct examination of a witness, while "Defense Attorney" Alex Canestraro contemplates his cross-examination. This "trial" was held in Waynesburg University's Mock Courtroom, the final exercise in Professor Clingerman's Law and Evidence class. Practical exercises like this are a hallmark of Waynesburg University's Criminal Justice Program.

The 2026-27 FAFSA is available NOW! Make the completion of your 2026-27 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) one of your New Year’s resolutions. All students and families are encouraged to complete the application as soon as possible at www.studentaid.gov. It’s the required application for aid eligibility for the next academic year. If you have any questions or need any help, don’t hesitate to contact the Financial Aid Office at 724-852-3208 or finaid@waynesburg.edu.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING SPRING 2026 TUITION STATEMENTS ·Spring Statements have been sent out electronically. ·If you have not been added as an authorized user to receive statements, you will need to have your student log on to their Nelnet Online Tuition account through myConnect to add you. ·Payment plan options are available through the online tuition account or by contacting the Business Office. ·If you need to apply for an additional loan please contact the Business Office to verify the balance. ·Spring refunds will not be available until after the start of the semester and once actual aid has been disbursed. ·Books are not included in the tuition bill and are purchased separately. We do have an online bookstore with Follett at https://www.bkstr.com/waynesburgstore/home ·Tax Forms – 2025 1098T and student W2 forms will be sent out by the end of January. ·If you have any billing questions or if your student needs help accessing their online tuition account or adding authorized users please contact the Business Office.

Pathways Center Returning students with academic accommodations should check WU email accounts for information about how to renew accommodations for the spring semester. Any WU students who may require temporary residential or academic accommodations due to surgical or medical procedures completed during the winter break are encouraged to reach out to dso@waynesburg.edu as soon as they are aware of the need. Tutoring and Writing Center appointments begin the second week of classes. If there is a class that is not listed for tutoring, students can reach out to request a tutor, and we will try to have one arranged. Students who need resume assistance as they begin applying for jobs and internships can reach out to the Pathways Center at pathways@waynesburg.edu. Our Career Development team can help with resumes, cover letters, job searching, graduate school essays, the University internship process, work study applications, and more. Professional Showcase Series: Each week on Wednesdays, the Pathways Center will host an employer (or two) in Stover Campus Center. This series kicks off January 28 (featuring Community Bank & New Life Bible Camp) and continues until April 15. Career Development Events: Future Professionals Day (including mock interviews!) is set for Thursday, February 19. March Madness resume review results will be released each Friday in March in a bracket-style competition; resumes will be accepted from students until Friday, February 27. Students should check emails regularly for more information.
