On Sunday, June 1st, the sanctuary at Wayne Presbyterian Church wasn’t the only place bustling with purpose. After the 10AM worship service, more than 150 members of the congregation gathered in fellowship and service, joining hands literally and figuratively - to pack an incredible 20,000 meals for Rise Against Hunger, a global humanitarian organization committed to ending hunger in our lifetime. The event transformed the church’s Chapel into a hub of joyful energy and compassionate action. Adults, youth, and children worked side by side, measuring, scooping, sealing, and boxing nutritious, shelf-stable meals that will be shipped to vulnerable communities across the globe.
