5th Annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Luncheon in Shelby By: Allyson Parker Five years ago, Steve Borders of Shelby, had a vision to create an event that would bring together all members of Cleveland County law enforcement for a luncheon to show appreciation for their dedication in protecting and serving the community. Borders’ unwavering commitment led him to enlist the help of his wife Cindy Borders, his daughter Brandy Curtis, friends Rick and Meda Dixon, his fellow church members at Elizabeth Baptist Church, area businesses, and other churches and residents.
