Leadership Training - AFSLI
Highlights WASLI Korea 202 Lucy and Anthony our coconvenors have undertaken a site visit. The call for proposals for papers and workshops has closed. Please see the conference report below.
ISO Expert Grou WASLI continues to engage with ISO work although we have not yet funded individuals to attend. This will become more of a need as face to face meetings resume. Samuel Chew is our interim chair and has begun to attend ISO meetings for TC37.

The online conference proved to be a success. In light of this we will be having a hybrid conference for WASLI 2023.

The WASLI 2023 Conference Organising Committee issued an expression of interest via social media calling for submission of a proposal for a logo for the WASLI Conference 2023 to be held in South Korea

The Big Reveal: WASLI 2023 conference logo
The winner was the deaf Jordanian designer, Mr Hussam Mohammad awwad El Farra.

After the successful development of the leadership training we were able to deliver the training via AFSLI to 12 interpreter leaders in Africa. The pilot of this weekly online deliver helped WASLI to assess the e ectiveness of the training package with useful feedback from the participants. The weekly opportunities to discuss the materials as a group and to re ect upon our own journeys was well received
