Explorer Summer Camp offers two age group experiences (K–3rd grade and 4th–6th grade) designed to keep kids active, engaged, and excited from the first day of summer to the last With 9 themed weeks, every week brings a new adventure but what truly sets Explorer Camp apart is our incredible outdoor experience From water adventures and sports to crafts, science experiments, and large group games each day is thoughtfully structured while still leaving room for imagination and creativity. Little Explorers Preschool Camp is created just for our youngest campers (ages 3–4) and features an all-outdoor experience filled with organized games, interactive story time, creative art projects, and hands-on nature exploration that encourages curiosity and confidence
Make a splash this summer at Swim Camp! Campers will spend the week enjoying all the fun Murphy Aquatic Park has to offer while being supervised by our experienced camp counselors Each day includes plenty of time in the water along with structured games, group activities, and supervised free swim When campers are ready for a break from the pool, they’ll enjoy crafts, organized games, and playground time to keep the fun going. Campers may bring a packed lunch or purchase concessions available at the aquatic park

Indiana Junior Master Naturalist Camp is designed for nature-loving kids ages 9–13, this camp gives participants the opportunity to work toward their Indiana Junior Master Naturalist Certification through the Indiana DNR. Campers will explore topics like botany, wildlife, water, and soils while learning alongside experts in the field Through observation, hands-on experiences, and service projects that support environmental stewardship, campers will deepen their connection to nature and gain the knowledge and skills to help protect it.

Nature Camp Wilderness Survival Week at Pecar Park Adventure awaits in the great outdoors! Campers will learn essential survival skills like archery, knot tying, fire building, shelter construction, outdoor cooking, fishing, and nature awareness Through exciting, hands-on activities, they’ll build confidence, teamwork, and problem-solving skills all while being guided by trained staff who prioritize safety and fun It’s the perfect chance to unplug, explore, and discover their inner adventurer.
For children ages 3–5, Nature Preschool Camp at Pecar Nature Center invites little explorers to discover the wonders of the natural world through meaningful, handson experiences that spark imagination, build independence, and nurture a lifelong love of the outdoors With different camp options to choose from, there’s a perfect adventure waiting for every preschooler!
