As Waaqifaat-e-Nau, the purpose of our lives is to dedicate ourselves to the service of our faith. But how can we fulfl this objective? By the Grace of Allah, as members of this blessed Jama’at, we are presented with countless opportunities to devote our time and abilities in the service of humanity and our faith. One such opportunity to seek the pleasure of Allah is serving the guests of the Promised Messiahas at Jalsa Salana. No duty is too great or too small when performed with humility for Allah’s sake, and we should always be ready to serve wherever we are needed.
At the Waaqifaat-e-Nau National Ijtema UK 2026 Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih Vaba said:
While every Ahmadi pledges to prioritise faith over worldly matters, and to practice and preach Islam’s true teachings, you have all made a solemn, lifelong vow to utilise all your faculties to serve the blessed mission of the Promised Messiahas. The commitment must forever remain as a supreme priority and objective of your lives.

Thin about what it is we see to attain through religion. s it to constantly oppress others No religion e ists so that we may obtain the life that lies in od. Such a life has not been and will never be attained unless ivine attributes come to abide in you.
Be compassionate towards all for the sa e of od so that you may be shown mercy in the heavens. ome and will teach you a way that will cause your light to prevail over all other lights. bandon all lowly spite and ealousy be compassionate for man ind and lose yourselves in od. Being with od achieve the highest levels of purifcation. This is the path on which miracles are bestowed prayers are accepted and angels descend to one s aid. WAAQiFAAT-E-NAU FAiTH, KNOWLEDGE AND THE UPBRiNGiNG OF THE NEXT GENERATiON
Address by Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih Vaba, at the Waaqifaat-e-Nau UK National Ijtema 2026 on Saturday 25th April 2026
After reciting Tashahhud, Ta`awwuz and Surah al-Fatihah, Hazrat Khalifatul Masih Vaba said:
‘Alhamdolillah, today you have gathered here for your National Waaqifaat-e-Nau Ijtema. With the grace of Allah, nearly 40 years have passed since the Waqf-eNau scheme was launched, and many of you are now in your 20s or 30s and have become mothers to a new generation of Waqifeene-Nau. As such, an even greater responsibility now rests on your shoulders.
As Waaqifaat-e-Nau, you must not only ensure that you are personally living up to your pledge and acting according to Islam’s teachings, but you must also ensure the moral and religious upbringing of your children. Whilst this is the duty of both parents, a mother invariably spends more time with her children. And so, the responsibility lies even heavier upon her.
Therefore, whether you are already mothers or Insha’Allah will become mothers in the future, remember that as Waaqifaat-eNau or Waqifa-e-Nau, you must continually strive to elevate your own spiritual and moral standards, while also nurturing and guiding your children so that they may become pious, excellent, and benefcial members of society. n this way, you will play your part in safeguarding the future prosperity of our Jama`at by ensuring that
coming generations remain frmly attached to their faith.
CERTAiNLY, iF AHMADi
PARENTS DO NOT COLLECTiVELY iNSTiL A DEEP SENSE OF MORALiTY AND FAiTH WiTHiN THEiR CHiLDREN, OUR PROGRESS WiLL FALTER. INDEED, HiSTORY PROVES THAT THOSE COMMUNiTiES THAT CEASE TO ADVANCE ARE DESTiNED FOR DECLiNE.
A great favour of Allah upon those of you who have grown up here is that you have benefted from the educational system here. As a result, many of you have been educated to a higher level than your mothers or grandmothers. This blessing carries with it a profound responsibility that you must harness your knowledge and the opportunities you have received to enlighten and guide your children. You must empower them to navigate the complex challenges they face in this society, whilst remaining frmly anchored to Islamic principles.
It must never be that due to the lack of moral training or guidance, our future generations deviate from the beautiful and timeless teachings of Islam. Sadly, many mothers write to me expressing their heartbreak that as their children pass through adolescence, they begin to drift away from their faith and fail to maintain a close
bond with the Jama’at. So, keeping your children attached to their faith is your primary responsibility.
For this, you must ensure that your own bond with Allah the Almighty is unshakable. Offer Namaz and other prayers with devotion and sincerity and immerse yourselves in the timeless wisdom of the Holy Qur’an.
IF
YOUR CONDUCT iS A LiViNG TESTAMENT TO YOUR LOVE FOR ALLAH AND YOUR CONViCTiON iN THE TRUTH OF ISLAM, YOUR CHiLDREN WiLL NATURALLY LEAR FROM YOUR EXAMPLE.
Unfortunately, it is often observed, especially amongst those of the families who have migrated to Western countries, that they be-
come consumed by a focus on their individual rights. Even some Waqifeen-e-Nau prioritise personal entitlement and what they believe they deserve over the sacred demands of their pledge. Rather than fulflling the bond they have made with Allah the Almighty, they are more concerned about attaining their worldly rights.
Such frustrations often surface after marriage when domestic challenges arise. While genuine hardships or injustices must be addressed, as Waqifa-e-Nau, you must never allow personal trials or desires to eclipse your commitment to your faith. Your priority should always be to cultivate a deep and personal bond with Allah the Almighty and to instil an everlasting love for Him within the hearts of your children.
Further, you must help your children acquire religious knowledge. Indeed, most of you who have reached an age of maturity, whether mothers, young adults, teenagers or older children, should realise that attaining religious knowledge is fundamental to safeguarding your faith and that of your future generations.
Additionally, such knowledge shall empower you to enlighten the wider world of Islam’s true teachings. Do not imagine that Tabligh is a duty reserved only for men; rather, Ahmadi women have an indispensable and crucial role to play.
slamic history testifes to the fact that from the very beginning Muslim women made monumental sacrifces for their faith. In this regard, the example of Hazrat A’ishahra is often presented as the Holy Prophetsaw declared that half of faith could be learned from her. Consequently, many companions, including men, sat as a student to learn about Islam.
Thus, for the sake of spreading Islam’s teachings and to dispel misconceptions, sometimes Ahmadi women are required to take part in public events and speak before men. For example, when required, certain Ahmadi ladies have taken part in media programmes and interviews. Therefore, as Waaqifaat, you must relentlessly strive to increase your
religious knowledge so that, armed with truth, you can refute the baseless allegations made against Islam, especially the malicious claim that it denies women their due rights.
WiTH FiRM CONViCTiON, YOU SHALL BE THE ONES WHO ATTEST TO THE FACT THAT ISLAM ESTABLiSHES TRUE EQUALiTY AND GRANTED WOMEN THEiR RiGHTS, MANY CENTURiES BEFORE THE MODERN WORLD EVEN RECOGNiSED THEM TO A LiMiTED DEGREE. YOU SHALL BE THE ONES WHO PROUDLY STAND AT THE VANGUARD, DEFENDiNG ISLAM AND iLLUMiNATiNG MANKiND OF iTS NOBLE TEACHiNGS.
Certainly, I have observed how Ahmadi women here in the UK, Germany and other countries have been able to present Islam’s true message in the media, speaking with e ceptional profciency. The power of their words, their eloquence and dignity have shone so brightly that the critics of Islam, who falsely claim it oppresses women, are left silenced and frustrated.
Hence, whilst observing pardah, Ahmadi women can engage with the media in order to present Islam’s true teachings and to refute the false allegations levelled against it. This is not something new, nor does it contravene Islam’s teachings in any way; rather, during
his Khilafat, Hazrat Musleh Maudra affrmed that it was not wrong for an Ahmadi woman to present or speak before men or in a public setting in order to defend Islam. He also invoked the example of Hazrat A’ishahra and how she educated men about their faith and Islam’s true teachings. Indeed, Hazrat A’ishah’sra intellect was such that she possessed a superior understanding of many of the intricacies and subtle points of the teachings of Islam, far surpassing the knowledge of many men of the time. She was able to clarify many Islamic teachings and beliefs. Thus, she serves as a great role model for all of you.
While every Ahmadi pledges to prioritise faith over worldly matters, and to practice and preach Islam’s
true teachings, you have all made a solemn, lifelong vow to utilise all your faculties to serve the blessed mission of the Promised Messiahas
THE COMMiTMENT MUST FOREVER REMAiN AS A SUPREME PRiORiTY AND OBJECTiVE OF YOUR LiVES.
As I have said, the opponents of Islam continually allege that Islam denies women’s equality. They claim to be the defenders of women’s rights, and that they wish to liberate women or grant them freedom. However, they are not sincere, and their actions reveal the truth.
In recent times, the whole world has seen how, under the guise of freedom, certain Western
powers have waged wars in which countless defenceless women and girls have been killed or had their homes utterly decimated. Their schools, universities and other centres of learning have been razed to the ground. Is that what the opponents of Islam mean by delivering rights to women and girls?
Indeed, it was because women in these Western countries were not afforded their due rights that over the past century, they were forced to take matters into their own hands. Thus, women’s rights movements arose throughout the Western world as women desperately sought to secure the basic rights long denied to them. As the religious texts had not defned or stipulated the rights of women, they were compelled to fght for the very freedom and equality that Islam had bestowed upon women over 1,400 years ago.
FROM THE OUTSET, ISLAM UNEQUiVOCALLY ENSHRiNED THE PRiNCiPLE OF EQUALiTY BETWEEN MEN AND WOMEN. THUS,
NO AHMADi GiRL OR WOMAN SHOULD EVER HARBOUR ANY COMPLEX OR DOUBT. EMBRACE YOUR iDENTiTY AS A MUSLiM WOMAN OR GiRL WiTH PRiDE AND RECOGNiSE YOUR iMMENSE GOD-GiVEN VALUE.
Certainly, in His Divine wisdom, Allah the Almighty has assigned
certain specifc duties and roles for men and for women according to human nature. Yet, He has ensured that the rights of men and women remain equal and fair.
Thus, in Islamic teachings, gender confers no superiority; rather, true distinction is born only out of the nobility of one’s character and the righteousness of their conduct. In terms of equality, Islam goes into quite astonishing detail. For example, the Holy Qur’an teaches that weaning a child is a mutual decision between husband and wife. It is not permitted for a husband or his family to dictate or order his wife in this regard.
Similarly, as means of security, and in order to preserve the dignity and honour of women, Islam has stipulated the haq mehr [dowry] as women’s fundamental right that must be agreed upon prior to marriage.
Likewise, the allegation that slam see s to confne women to the home is utterly false. There are many professions that Allah the Almighty permits Muslim women to pursue, provided they continue to observe pardah. Thus, as Waqifa-e-Nau, it is now your mission to enlighten mankind about these beautiful teachings of Islam and correct those who either, in ignorance or out of malice, misrepresent it.
To do this, you must immerse yourselves in the study of the Holy Qur’an. Recite it every day and carefully study its translation and commentaries. Merely attending the National Ijtema for a few hours today will not achieve anything on its own; rather, your attendance will only be of value if it ignites within you a passionate desire and commitment to increase your religious knowledge and to embody Islam’s teachings at all times.
The majority of you are now above the age of 15, and so, have the intellectual capacity to understand Islam’s teachings and to respond to allegations made against it. In this regard, I reiterate that the best way to learn about Islam is to study the Holy Qur’an. If you do so, you will come to comprehend your religious moral, spiritual, civic and social responsibilities. You will learn how best to raise your children and your obligations as mother, daughter, sister, or friend.
Many Ahmadi girls have attained bachelor’s and master’s degrees, and some have attained PhDs or other very advanced ualifcations. There are many Ahmadi women, including from amongst the Waaqifaat-e-Nau, who are working professionally as doctors, teachers, lawyers, engineers, and in other various professions. It is very pleasing to see that a high proportion of Ahmadi girls choose to pursue higher education and
worthwhile professions. However, if, having attained a high level of education or having entered such professions, you become so immersed in your studies or career that it takes you away from the practice of your faith, then there is no beneft to your being part of the Waqf-e-Nau scheme; rather, being a Waqf-e-Nau will just be a hollow and meaningless title.
SO, ALONGSiDE YOUR WORK OR STUDiES, YOU MUST SET ASiDE TiME EVERY DAY TO iNCREASE YOUR RELiGiOUS KNOWLEDGE. ONLY THEN WiLL YOU BE A WAQF-E-NAU iN SPiRiT AND DEED. ONLY THEN WiLL YOU BE TRULY AWARE OF THE TEACHiNGS OF YOUR FAiTH AND BE ABLE TO PRACTiCE iT AND iNSTiL iT WiTHiN YOUR CHiLDREN AND GUiDE OTHERS.
In terms of your family life and responsibilities, you should always act with patience and prayers. Unfortunately, domestic trials or problems sometimes arise within families. For example, if a husband fails to fulfl his duties or his conduct is not as it ought to be, wherever possible, while giving precedence to their faith over worldly matters, wives and mothers should strive to resolve such issues amicably, whilst exhibiting patience and trust in Allah. Always seek to protect your family unit, especially your children, and ensure nothing stands in the way of their moral training and
well-being. If your husband fails to fulfl his parental duties you should seek to bridge that gap by striving even harder to guide and care for them.
Similarly, every Ahmadi woman, particularly the Waqifa-e-Nau, should always exhibit sincere humility. Whether you have the opportunity to do any duty or good deed, you should never be motivated by a desire to impress others or to gain their praise. Instead, all your efforts should be governed by a pure desire to seek only the love and nearness of Allah the Almighty.
For example, if you are given a responsibility within the Jama’at or called for duty at Jalsas or Ijtemas, you should see to fulfl such duties solely for the sake of Allah, and attaining His pleasure, rather than seeking any worldly acclaims or rewards. Remember that at the heart of your Waqf lies the spirit of sacrifce.
Sometimes women say that because of their family responsibilities or work commitments, they do not have the time to focus on the worship of llah or to fulfl their religious obligations. owever fulflling the demands of worship is of paramount importance, and so you must be willing to sacrifce other things in order to fulfl the rights of Allah.
Beyond your obligatory prayers, you should offer daily Nawafl and pray for yourself and for your future generations. By doing so, you will, Insha’Allah, bequeath a legacy of piety and the highest morals and faith amongst your children and future generations.
As I stated before, the Holy Qur’an requires Muslim women to observe pardah, and as Waqifa-e-Nau, you should have the highest standard in this regard. If you set a positive example, you will be a source of confdence for others and a means of guiding them about the value of modesty.
NEVER FORGET THAT YOU HAVE BEEN BORN WiTH A GRAND PURPOSE TO LEAD THE WORLD BACK TO iTS CREATOR.
If ignorant people allege that you are imprisoned by your faith, prove them wrong and show them just how powerful and strong you are. onfdently tell them that we are truly liberated and free from the shackles of materialism, injustice and vulgarity that imprison modern society. So, if you are truly determined to fulfl your religious objectives, you as Waqifa-e-Nau are destined to lead the world Insha’Allah.

world into a haven of peace, love and prosperity. This is the jihad of our time.
Therefore, I reiterate that you should always remember that your education and knowledge shall hold no real value unless it is harnessed in a way that enables you to serve humanity and your faith. Otherwise, your academic success or attainment will be indistinguishable from that of others. Conversely, if you truly seek to serve your faith and humanity, you will Insha’Allah achieve great success and be immensely rewarded by Allah.
TO
BE TRULY SUCCESSFUL AND TO LEAVE A POSiTiVE LEGACY iN THiS WORLD, YOU MUST HAVE A TRUE PASSiON FOR SERViNG YOUR FAiTH AND ENSURiNG THAT YOU AND YOUR CHiLDREN ARE LiViNG ACCORDiNG TO ISLAMiC TEACHiNGS. HiSTORY PROVES THAT WOMEN HAVE ALWAYS BEEN AT THE FOREFRONT OF MAKiNG SACRiFiCES FOR THEiR RELiGiOUS BELiEFS.
For example, in the Gospel of Matthew in the Bible, it mentions that it was the female disciples of Prophet Jesusas who ventured to his tomb three days after the crucif ion. hile the male disciples remained in hiding, paralysed by fear, these courageous women took great risks for the sake of their faith. Then, upon
seeing that the tomb was empty, they were astonished to fnd that Jesusas was alive outside and jubilantly received his greetings.
These devoted women who were the followers of the Messiah of Mosesas were willing to make great sacrifces for the sa e of their faith. If they were able to do so, then is it not necessary for all of you who are the followers of the Messiah of Muhammadsaw and who have pledged to dedicate your lives to the service of Islam to make even greater sacrifces for the sa e of your faith?
Certainly, throughout Islamic history, countless Muslim women have made incredible sacrifces. They understood their personal responsibilities towards bringing forth the spiritual victory of Islam. I have already mentioned Hazrat A’ishahra and her scholarly services to Islam. Likewise, during certain expeditions and defensive battles during the era of the Holy Prophetsaw and Khilafat-e-Rashidah, Muslim women stood fearlessly as pillars of strength.
Some Muslim women even fought on the front lines, while others nursed, the wounded with unwavering compassion and diligence. These noble precedents are not just stories from history for you to read about; rather, they should serve as a profound example to all of you and demonstrate the extremely high status of women in Islam. Now, it
is your duty to protect this status and to follow in their footsteps by embodying Islam’s true teachings and being ready to make every sacrifce re uired for the sa e of your faith. This is the duty of all Ahmadi women and girls, but especially for those who have pledged to serve the cause of Islam until their last breath.
Thus, before concluding, I wish to remind you that you must strive tirelessly to spread the message of Islam, to serve humanity, and to nurture and guide the next generation. Above all, honour your pledge by giving precedence to your faith over all worldly matters and seeking to act upon Allah’s commands. Despite your secular education or other commitments, be determined to increase your religious knowledge by reading the Holy Qur’an and its commentaries. You must also study the writings of Promised Messiah (as), the Khulafa and other Jama’at literature, as religious knowledge is a catalyst for self-reformation and also means to guide your children.
Finally, to the younger girls present, including the Nasirat, I wish to say that you should also seek to excel in your studies. Moreover, even at your young age, you should be strong in your faith, never allow the opinions of others to in uence your beliefs or make you feel embarrassed about your religion. If you are ever teased or mocked
for wearing modest clothing, do not let it sha e your confdence. Tell such people that they can mock you all they like, but they will not weaken your beliefs or religious practice. Tell them you have a higher purpose, which is to stand against the world’s moral decline and to eradicate the gap that exists between much of the world and God Almighty. Instead of pulling you away from your faith, their taunts should inspire you to improve your morals and to gain more religious knowledge.
BE CONFiDENT iN YOURSELVES

The Spiritual Benefits of Jalsa Salana
Outlined by the Promised Messiahas
This gathering will be devoted to the exposition of such truths and spiritual insight as are necessary for the promotion of faith and certainty and spiritual understanding, and there will be special prayers and attention for the participants. And to the best of our ability we shall endeavour to supplicate at the threshold of the Most Merciful that He may draw them towards Him, may accept them and may bring about a pious change in them. An additional benefit of these gatherings will be that each year new entrants to the Jama‘at shall, by being present on the fixed dates, get to know their brethren who had joined earlier. And these meetings will lead to progressive strengthening of the bond of mutual love and affection. Prayers for absolution will be offered for brothers who will have passed away in the interim, and supplications shall be made at the threshold of the Glorious God that He may unite all these brothers in spirit and banish all estrangement, dryness and differences from amongst them.
This spiritual convention will have many other spiritual benefits which will become manifest from time to time. Those suffering from paucity of means would be welladvised to plan ahead for attending this Jalsa. If they lay by a small sum on a daily or monthly basis, through planning and saving, they will have enough provisions for the journey, and it will seem as if the journey was undertaken free of cost. Those who approve of the proposal should inform me now in writing so that a separate list can be made of those who are resolved, for the rest of their lives, to attend the gathering on the specified dates with all their heart and soul and with the greatest resolve—unless it is simply beyond their power and means to undertake the journey. May Allah grant a goodly reward to those who underwent the travails of travel to attend the convention which was held on 27th December 1891 for the purpose of religious consultations. May He reward every step they look upon this journey. Amen, Amen.

Finding Home Through Service
Reflections of a Waqifa-e-Nau serving at Jalsa Salana
When people think of home, they often think of a place. A familiar street, a favourite room, or the people they grew up around. For me, one of the most unexpected places I found a sense of home was at Jalsa Salana.
It was not because the surroundings were familiar. In fact, when I first served at Jalsa Salana USA, almost everything around me was different. The accents, the site layout, the indoor venue, the volunteers and even some of the ways departments operated were new to me. Yet despite all those differences, something felt remarkably familiar.
As a Waqifa-e-Nau who grew up around Jalsa Salana UK, I realised that the spirit of service I had witnessed for years had travelled with me. The willingness to put others before oneself, the quiet teamwork behind every department and the shared desire to serve the guests of the Promised Messiahas were exactly the same. Thousands of miles from the UK, I discovered that home was not simply a place, it was a shared purpose.

Growing up as a member of the Waqfe-Nau scheme, we are taught from a young age that our lives are dedicated to the service of Islam Ahmadiyyat. In childhood, that often feels simple and practical, stacking chairs, carrying boxes, directing guests or helping wherever needed. Looking back, however, I realise those early duties were shaping something far deeper than I understood at the time.
Alhamdulillah, I was blessed to grow up in the UK, where Hazrat Khalifatul Masihaba would personally guide the countless volunteers serving as hosts of Jalsa Salana. “In serving the guests of the Jalsa Salana, regard them as the guests of the Promised Messiahas. I remember as a child serving alongside my mother on whatever duty she was assigned - discipline, registration, in the bazaar making burgers, operating the candyfloss machine or even cleaning facilities.
One of our longest serving duties was registration and scanning ID cards. Because we stayed on site, we often signed up for the morning and evening shifts, lucky enough to greet guests as they arrived and bid them farewell at the end of the day. As duty holders, we were constantly reminded that every guest should be treated with kindness, love and respect. Even in moments of stress, we were expected to remain calm, professional and ready to help. One piece of advice has stayed with me ever since, that is to always smile, because a smile carries through into your tone and voice and impacts the Jalsa experience of guests.
At the time, those lessons felt ordinary. It was only years later that I realised how much they had prepared me.
In the summer of 2019, my family was blessed to move to the United States after my husband, serving as a Waqf-e-Zindagi, was posted to the MTA studios in America. Little did we know that within months, the world would change.

The Covid-19 pandemic brought conventions to a halt and Jalsa Salana was suspended for several years. Service to humanity suddenly looked very different as communities faced lockdowns, social distancing and uncertainty. Then, in 2022, came the joyful news that Jalsa Salana USA would once again be held at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg. We travelled to the site the day before Jalsa to resume our duties. My children, who were seven and ten at the time, were shocked to discover there would be no grass fields to run around on during lunch breaks.
“Everything is indoors?” they asked.
The absence of Hazoor’saba live speeches was a big missing piece of the puzzle. The culture shock was immediate. Air conditioning at Jalsa? No scorching summer sun? No sprawling marquees? For a family raised around Jalsa UK, it felt almost unimaginable.
I could easily have spent that year as a guest. Instead, I found myself volunteering in three different roles, mainly to keep busy while my husband worked long hours. As a family, we were often among the first to arrive and the last to leave each day.
Looking back, I realise that what began as a way to occupy my time, became something far more meaningful. Moving countries can leave a person feeling disoriented and disconnected. Yet through serving those duties at Jalsa, those feelings gradually disappeared. In serving the guests of the Promised Messiahas, I found a sense of belonging. I was no longer simply adjusting to a new country; I was home again.
Every Jalsa attendee experiences a different convention. Mine often took place through service corridors, volunteer rest areas and department briefings. Yet it was there that I witnessed some of the most inspiring aspects of Jalsa - moments that rarely appear on the stage, but form the foundation of everything that is seen. It is built on thousands of small acts of devotion.

Radios crackling with last minute instructions, golf carts moving quietly between departments, often driven by volunteers who had already worked long shifts. Unexpected challenges being solved calmly, without attention or complaint.
I still remember how something as simple as transport duty became a source of joy for many younger volunteers. My children often recall fond memories of being taken on buggy runs with the bajis and bhais who made them feel part of something meaningful while they carried out errands for their department. Even in the busiest moments, there was warmth, laughter and a genuine sense of belonging.
Then there were the quieter moments. Volunteers eating meals at unusual hours because the work never truly paused. The freezer-onwheels pass by with malai, mango and pistachio kulfi as a gesture of appreciation for those working long shifts. Small reminders that gratitude often appears in the simplest forms.
I also witnessed examples of service that left a lasting impression on me. My local Sadr Sahiba embodied humility in every setting, whether leading meetings or cleaning bathrooms at the Jalsa site. She was always among those ensuring that guests were served before herself. Her service was never loud, but it was consistent and deeply inspiring.
One moment that has stayed with me from my last Jalsa in the USA in 2025 was a training session for registration volunteers on responding calmly
in the event of a potential security incident. It was the first time I had experienced anything like it at Jalsa.
At the time, tensions towards Muslims in wider society felt heightened with President Trump issuing deportations across America. Volunteers were reminded that our responsibility extended beyond hospitality. We were there to protect the dignity, safety and reassurance of every guest.
What struck me most was not fear, but focus. The message was simple, to remain calm, act responsibly and prioritise the wellbeing of others. It

reinforced something I had always felt at Jalsa but now understood more deeply: service is not only about hospitality, it is also about safeguarding peace for others.
These are the parts of Jalsa most people never see. Yet together, they create the experience that everyone else remembers.
The Holy Qur’an, Chapter 3, verse 111 states:
“You are the best people raised for the good of mankind.”
At Jalsa Salana, this teaching comes to life through thousands of acts of service. Whether visible or unseen, every task becomes meaningful when performed with sincerity and for the sake of Allah.
As a Waqifa-e-Nau, I have come to understand that the essence of waqf is not tied to geography. The lessons I learned serving at Jalsa Salana UK prepared me for service in the USA because the principles remained unchanged: sacrifice, humility and obedience. Although the surroundings were different, I recognised the same spirit of devotion everywhere. Across continents, I encountered the same dedication, the same willingness to serve and the same desire to place faith before self. Seeing thousands gathered from across the world reinforces the understanding that this is not simply an event, but a living expression of a worldwide spiritual family that unites under the umbrella of Khilafat.
It was then that I realised the true home of a Waqf is not a particular country or venue, but wherever Allah grants the opportunity to serve.
For many, Jalsa Salana is the spiritual highlight of the year. For those serving behind the scenes, it becomes something more. It is a transformative lesson in humanity, humility and belonging.
Through service, I did not only learn about Jalsa.
I found home in it. Alhamdolillah
A Guest, a Lamp and a Lesson in Hospitality
Once, a traveller came to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) who sent a message to his household to send some food. The reply came that there was nothing in the house except water. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) asked his Companions who among them could arrange for some food. An Ansari said he would. When he went home to ask his wife to prepare some food for the guest, she said they only had enough to feed the children. He asked her to light the lamp and send the children to bed. When the food was ready and the guest arrived, he got up on the pretext of adjusting the lamp and instead extinguished it. He and his wife pretended to eat in the dark while the guest ate satisfactorily. Next day, when the Ansari went to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him), he laughed and said, ‘Your planning of last night also made Allah laugh’.
It is then that the following verse was revealed:
‘…and find not in their breasts any desire for that which is given them, but prefer others to themselves even though poverty be their own lot. And whoso is rid of the covetousness of the soul – it is these who will be successful’ (The Holy Qur’an 59:10).

On 25th April 2026, for the first time in its history, the much-anticipated National Waaqifaat-e-Nau Ijtema UK took place in the blessed grounds of Islamabad, UK. By the immense grace of Allah, Hazrat Khalifatul Masih Vaba honoured the event and delivered a most faith-inspiring address to the Waaqifaat-e-Nau, filling the hearts of attendees with spiritual strength and renewed purpose.
The Ijtema commenced at 10.00am with the opening session chaired by respected Sadr Lajna Ima’illah UK, Dr. Qurratul-Ain Anni Rehman Sahiba. Following the inaugural session, Waaqifaat-e-Nau attendees were divided into 4 age-based groups to attend varying workshops.
This year’s Ijtema focused on the theme, “Salat: The Pillar of Our Faith,” with the Waaqifaat-e-Nau sessions centred around understanding the importance of prayer and strengthening one’s connection with Allah. Through engaging talks and discussions, attendees were encouraged to reflect on how Salat shapes everyday life and strengthens faith.
Other inspiring sessions explored the lesson of trust through the story of
Hazrat Hajrahra. Participants also reflected on the true meaning of being a Waqf, learning about the spirit of dedication, service, and sacrifice that comes with this blessed responsibility.
To make the experience both educational and enjoyable, an activity zone, exhibition, and an exclusive science show were also organised, giving attendees the opportunity to learn in interactive and creative ways.
For the older Waaqifaat-e-Nau, sessions offered a deeper exploration of the Holy Qur’an, focusing on how to study and understand the beautiful word of Allah more meaningfully in daily life.
A short but impactful talk was also held on overcoming hardships and self-doubt, reminding attendees of the importance of resilience, confidence, and turning towards Allah during difficult moments. Another session focused on Nizame-Jamaat, helping Waaqifaat-e-Nau gain a better understanding of the structure, values, and responsibilities within the Jama’at and the importance of unity and service.
Alongside this, panel discussions brought together insightful conversations on serving as Waaqifaat-e-Nau and navigating the challenges and responsibilities of faith in today’s world.

Tears began to flow, my emotions incontrollable. I began to appreciate how lucky I am to be so blessed to listen to these esteemed guests. By the sheer grace of Allah, this year’s Ijtema was attended by 1,700 participants, reflecting an increase of 321 from last year’s attendance. Alhamdolilah.
Concluding Session
The main event was the eagerly awaited address by Hazrat Khalifatul Masih Vaba. The concluding session began with Tilawat by Sajeelah-Noor Teyeeb Sahiba followed by the English translation presented by Mashel Chaudhry Sahiba. Aylah Uddin Sahiba then recited an Urdu poem with its English translation presented by Baariah Tahir Sahiba. Hazrat Amirul Momineenaba then invited the Muavina Sadr Waaqifaat-e-Nau UK to present the Ijtema report.
Beloved Hazooraba then delivered a deeply inspiring address, reminding Waaqifaat-e-Nau that true peace lies in drawing close to Allah through sincere worship, prayer, and a strong bond with the Holy Qur’an, while remaining steadfast in their faith and Islamic identity. He emphasised their vital responsibility to nurture their children with strong moral and spiritual values, ensuring they become righteous contributors to the future of the Jama’at and society.
Our hearts are full of gratitude to Allah Almighty that we were once again blessed by our most beloved Hazooraba at our National Waaqifaat-e-Nau Ijtema. May Allah Almighty enable every Waqifa throughout the world to listen and faithfully act upon every word of our beloved Imam and enable us to shed our weaknesses and become true shining stars of Ahmadiyyat. Stop immediately and tell a parent or another trusted adult.
Technology should help us learn, stay connected, and grow closer to Allah - not distract us from Him.
And it should always be used in moderation.
Afa and Zayd learned that technology is a blessing when used with wisdom, modesty, self-control, and guidance from Khilafat. By using it responsibly, they could beneft from it.

This book is a compilation of wisdom-flled exhortations and beautiful advice from Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V (May Allah be his Helper) on ways to safeguard ourselves from the moral ills spreading in society due to the irresponsible use of social media in the current age. It also outlines the responsibilities of Ahmadis when using Social Media, emphasising the judicious use of Social Media for intellectual, moral, and spiritual training.

Our Work is Only Completed Through Allah the Almighty’s Grace
No work of ours is completed through one’s mere aptitude or experience, rather, it is purely out of the grace of Allah the Almighty. Each and every person on duty and those in charge must carry out their duties with hard work, excellent morals, prayers while seeking the help of Allah Almighty. When this happens, then Allah the Almighty will shower His blessings. We have presented ourselves to selflessly serve the guests of the Promised Messiahas, who have travelled here purely for a religious purpose.
Without Worship Our Objective Cannot be Achieved
Where you are fulfilling the rights of serving the guests, never forget this fact that we must also fulfil the rights of worshipping Allah the Almighty. We must safeguard our prayers and we must strive to make ourselves pure by deriving benefit from this atmosphere at every moment. Having done true justice to your duties, you should never think that you have fulfilled your objective. Without worship, our objective cannot be achieved.
Guidance for the Guests of Jalsa Salana
All those who have come here to participate in the Jalsa should remember the words of the Promised Messiahas that this Jalsa is not like other worldly gatherings (Shahadatul Quran, Ruhani Khazain, Vol. 6, p. 395). The purpose for which we are attending the Jalsa is to improve our spiritual, intellectual, and moral condition and also to establish the love of Allah the Almighty and His Messengersaw in our hearts.
Listen to the Entire Proceedings of the Jalsa
The purpose of attending Jalsa is solely to improve one’s spiritual and intellectual condition, which can be achieved by benefitting from the proceedings and speeches of the Jalsa. Hence, every attendee of the Jalsa should ensure that they do not wander about during the Jalsa and instead listen to the entire proceedings of the Jalsa.
Reflect a True Atmosphere of Believers
You should separate yourself entirely from worldly endeavours and strive to improve in your faith and knowledge. When this happens, it will also improve mutual love and relations. Even if there are shortcomings in the administration or the hosts, then they will not be felt. A beautiful atmosphere will be established, which will reflect a true atmosphere of believers. If we do not achieve this, then we cannot create the atmosphere that is the objective of the Jalsa.
The Sincerity and Passion of Duty Holders Should Always be Appreciated
There may be many shortcomings that can cause restlessness. For example, the Department of Food aims to provide the guests with every possible ease when it comes to serving food by ensuring that there is no shortage of the food being served or by having volunteers on duty try to serve the guests while exhibiting the highest morals. However, at times, there could be a discrepancy in the estimation and there may not be an adequate amount of food available, but rather than expressing anger, the apologies of the workers should be accepted wholeheartedly.
The guests should remember that the people cooking the food are not professionals in these fields; rather, they are volunteers who come from different professions, and so the sincerity and passion with which they serve should always be appreciated.
Without Morals, There is Nothing
A peaceful atmosphere cannot be established through the good morals of the workers alone; rather, all attendees of the Jalsa must exhibit good morals. Both the ladies and the men should remain mindful of this.
At times, enmities arise over the most trivial of matters, which brings about an atmosphere where people berate one another or sometimes escalate to the point of physical altercations. If this is the environment people desire and they do not want to control their emotions, then it is better that they do not attend the Jalsa. Similarly, if the duty holders cannot control their emotions, then they should not perform duties.
Make the Habit of Saying Salaam, Remembering Allah and Invoking Durood
During these days, every Ahmadi should strive to spread the message of peace, make a habit of saying “salaam” and establish mutual sentiments of positivity. True peace and security is established when people who harbour enmity towards one another remove that enmity and the prayer of peace for one another emanates from their hearts.
You should also pay special attention to the remembrance of Allah and invoking salutations upon the Holy Prophetsaw [durood] during the days of Jalsa.
Train Children to Sit Quietly During Sessions
Whilst in the Jalsa marquee, the ladies especially should ensure that they instil in those children who possess some understanding that they should sit quietly during the Jalsa sessions. It is the training that is done at a young age which remains firm in the mind. Those women who sit in the children’s marquee should also try not to speak too much and instead should focus on the proceedings.
Remain Aware of Surroundings
Every attendee, both on the men’s and ladies’ sides should remain aware of their surroundings. This is an important method of security. Similarly, you should carefully read the guidance that is found in your programmes and act upon it as well. May Allah the Almighty enable everyone to benefit from the Jalsa in the best way, safeguard against every evil and shower us with His mercy and blessings. [Ameen]
How Khilafat is a Shield Against the Challenges and Ills of Society
As a Waqf-e-Nau girl, born in Pakistan and living today in France, I have grown up with the conviction that Khilafat-eAhmadiyya is not merely a spiritual institution, but a living mercy from Allah to guide, protect, and unite the Jama’at. In a time marked by confusion, trials, and social pressures, my bond with Khilafat has become, for me, a source of peace and stability. I have always felt that the presence of the Khalifatul Masih, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmadaba, is a means through which Allah reminds us of His guidance and protection.
My relationship with Hazooraba is strengthened through the letters I have the opportunity to write to him. In these letters, I express my concerns, my spiritual needs, and my requests for prayers. Every time I receive a reply, I am deeply moved by the kindness, wisdom, and light it carries. Even a short response becomes for me a reminder that I am not alone, that my efforts are seen, and that the blessings of Khilafat accompany us in our trials as well as in our hopes.
In my life as a master’s student, I also face challenges related to studies, personal balance, and adapting to an environment sometimes far from my familiar roots. In such moments, the remembrance of Hazooraba and his prayers helps me remain firm, move forward with confidence, and place my hope in Allah. Khilafat protects me by strengthening my faith, correcting the way I see difficulties, and encouraging me to face challenges with patience, discipline, and gratitude.
Thus, for me, Ahmadiyya Khilafat is a protection against both outer and inner troubles. It illuminates my path, strengthens my heart, and connects me to a constant source of divine guidance. Being linked to Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad aba is a great honour, but also a responsibility: to live with loyalty, sincerity, and effort, always striving to reflect the teachings of true Islam.

Personally, I have experienced that whenever I face hardships, writing to Hazoor-e-Anwaraba about my problems brings me a deep sense of peace and comfort in my heart. It reassures me that I am not alone and that my concerns are heard and prayed for. At the age of 16, when many young people are faced with important decisions about their future, I, too, found myself overwhelmed with uncertainty. Choosing my subjects felt like a turning point in my life. I was interested in Maths and Physics, yet I was filled with doubt, questioning whether I would be able to cope with such challenging subjects. As a Waqifa-e-Nau, this decision carried even greater weight for me. I wanted guidance, so I wrote to Hazoor aba, requesting prayers. Although I did not receive an immediate response, I eventually made my choice. Outwardly, everything was decided, but internally, I was still unsettled. Then, one day, I received a letter from Hazoor aba with his blessed signature. In it, he wrote that it was good that I had
chosen these subjects and prayed for my success. At that moment, something changed within me. The doubts that once overwhelmed me were replaced with complete peace and certainty. It felt as though a heavy burden had been lifted. What others had said to reassure me had not removed my fears, but the words of Khilafat did. That single letter became a source of strength and protection, shielding me from my own uncertainty and the pressures around me. This experience made me realise that Khilafat is not only a means of guidance, but a true source of protection against the challenges and confusion of today’s society. Alhamdulilah, through Khilafat, Allah grants us clarity, reassurance, and the strength to move forward with conviction.

Each of us inevitably faces trials and hardships throughout our lives. For me, in striving to overcome these challenges and navigate the ills of society, I have found deep comfort and strength in the guidance of Hazooraba. His Friday sermons, Ijtema speeches, Jalsa addresses, and other discourses have had a profound and transformative effect on my life. They continue to reinforce the teachings instilled in me by my family, helping me remain grounded in my faith.
As I have grown, the guidance of the Khalifah of the time has become a true source of protection and reassurance in my everyday life. It shapes how I speak, how I act, and how I interact with others. His words serve as a constant reminder for me to reflect sincerely on myself, both in my private moments and in how I present myself to the world. They inspire me to strive to do my best in all aspects of my life, even when faced with difficulty.
In today’s society, there are countless distractions and influences pulling us in different directions. At times, it can feel overwhelming. However, regularly praying and listening to the words of the Khalifah brings me back to what truly matters; it reconnects me with the core values and teachings of Islam. What deeply resonates with me is how Hazoor’saba guidance is often ahead of its time; his foresight is truly a blessing. I feel incredibly humbled and grateful to be able to live under such guidance and to benefit from it.
