PROLOGUE I believe that architectural design is not only a physical form, but also an important part of social economy and culture. The economy and culture of a society arise from the activities of different groups of people, and architectural design is the way designers guide human behavior by constructing physical spaces. Across these four projects, the buildings are designed to not only address basic needs, but also proactively respond to various issues facing society. Use geographical location, climate conditions, cultural history and other relevant information to explore real needs and problems, put yourself in the shoes of local people, understand their behavior and living habits, and implement design content to meet the specific needs of certain groups of people. People complete various behavioral activities in buildings. The influence of architecture will gradually spread to the group and social levels through individual behaviors, and then have a profound impact on the entire social economy and culture.

Magnetic high-rise building Explore conceptual designs that use magnetism to protect against air crashes Type: High-rise building concept design Collaboration: Individual Work Time: 2023,July Location: New York,America
This design is based on a deep reflection on the 9/11 incident and is committed to creating a high-rise low-carbon building with high volume ratio and high circulation rate. It also has a defense mechanism to prevent air crashes such as 9/11 from happening. The project introduces magnetic technology, with each sphere connected to a tube frame structure that serves as a living unit. When danger occurs, the magnetic fluid in the core tube quickly fills the surface of the sphere, using the characteristics of the magnet as a defense mechanism to ensure the safety of the residents inside. Magnetohydrodynamic mechanisms provide the building with the energy it needs to survive.

Ground Zero (World Trade Center Site)
Initially, buildings were simply the shelter humans needed from the elements to avoid the uncertainties of nature. No matter the storm, hurricane or heat, the interior is always comfortable. Thousands of years later, humans have been able to build houses to withstand various natural disasters, but we are still powerless in the face of man-made malicious killing and destruction. The pain caused by 9/11 is still felt today. The project is located next to Ground Zero (the former site of the World Trade Center), and the building echoes two square waterfalls. We stand taller to mourn the victims of 9/11 and to honor the firefighters who lost their lives on 9/11.
Event review
On September 11, 2001, two civilian airliners hijacked by terrorists crashed into Tower 1 and Tower 2 of the World Trade Center in New York, USA. Two towers collapsed within a short period of time, and other World Trade Center buildings collapsed causing serious damage. After the impact, the fire spread rapidly and uncontrollably inside the building. These attacks killed 2,977 people and injured more than 25,000 others. It has had a great impact on the economy of the United States and even the world, causing direct economic losses of up to 200 billion U.S. dollars. After the ruins were cleared, in order to remember this potential disaster and commemorate the people who lost their lives in this disaster, the government built a building in the former World Trade Center. On the site, a concave monument was designed and named “Ground Zero”
world tallest building
After the 9/11 incident, even though the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center disappeared from the New York skyline, people’s demand for skyscrapers has not diminished. In fact, the number of supertall buildings has surged around the world. . Over the past two decades, the number of high-rise buildings has continued to increase, and the height of new skyscrapers has increased dramatically. The most significant change is the rise of supertall buildings. The concept of the skyscraper as a symbol of progress and civilization still exists, and the project builds on this concept to design conceptual tall buildings to prevent air crashes.

MAGNETIC
Terrorist attacks occur frequently, and the twin towers being hit have become an eternal shadow in American history. Even strong buildings cannot withstand external impacts. This painful memory reminds us that architectural design in the technological age needs to ensure effective connections, distinctive personality, and integrity.
Utilize the principle that magnets with opposite poles attract each other and like poles repel each other. Barriers were installed on the building’s surface. When a crisis comes, the outer surface of the building can be quickly filled with magnetism to resist external damage and ensure a safe environment for residents inside.
sustainable approach
innovative approach
MAGNETIC FLULD
At the heart of the building is a magnetohydrodynamic generator that provides electricity to the entire building. According to the Lorentz force law F=Q(v * B), the charged fluid is injected into the magnetic field at high speed, and the effect of the magnetic field on the charged fluid is used to generate electricity.
The building surface has a double layer of space on the surface of the building’s living units to accommodate the magnetic fluid. Each occupant can adjust the amount of magnetic fluid to change the color of the facade according to their needs. Provide residents with a comfortable space experience
Enrich life experience
Expand shared space
By installing a magnetic levitation device that matches the size of the object, the plants in the atrium are suspended regularly and vividly, giving the serious building a natural feel. This can effectively enhance residents’ living experience, allowing them to share greenery and enjoy their connection with nature.
Compared with traditional buildings, our innovative design includes spherical living units and a large number of shared spaces, which will effectively improve the utilization of indoor living. It also allows each resident to have more shared space, broadening everyone’s communication and living scope.
MAGNETIC LEVITATION
Concept design
composition The building consists of three parts. The energy core in the middle is used to distribute energy throughout the building. The sphere unit is a living space and a private space for the residents. Through this design, the building can resist attacks in times of crisis, enrich residents’ daily lives, and achieve a low-carbon lifestyle that can generate its own electricity.
Working method magnetic fluid core tube
pipeline transmission mechanism
unit body color chang mechanism
Break away from the traditional core tube and establish an energy core tube. The magnetic fluid waterfall in the center pours down. At the same time, it also has the functions of maintenance and energy transmission.
The magnetic fluid energy is transported through the building’s frame tube structure to the core tube and the interior of the unit respectively. It provides energy for residents’ lives and also provides a defense mechanism for buildings in dangerous situations.
The magnetic fluid content of the unit’s skin can be adjusted to the residents’ daily routines and privacy needs. The unit ball controls the rotation speed through gears in the structure, and adopts an integrated design to achieve a minimalist space.

Revitalizing Old Town Mall Break the traditional shopping mall model and transform it into a comprehensive commercial and residential community Type: Old building renovation design Collaboration: Individual Work Time: 2023,May Location: Baltimore,America
Based on research on community needs, designers transformed the lost vitality of the business district into an affordable commercial and residential community. One part of the building is converted into adaptive housing to accommodate the poor, while another part is used for community learning and commercial functions to provide development opportunities for residents. Innovatively develop the rooftop interactive space and create a diverse rooftop activity platform to promote interaction and stimulate business potential. Ultimately, the fate of the declining business district will be fundamentally changed. The design not only solves commercial problems, but also actively responds to social needs and injects vitality into the entire area.

How to solve the problem and how to revitalize the old shopping mall?
It seems that they are all trying to rejuvenate the old shopping mall, just like caring for the leaves of a dead tree
There is no business on the surface
Discover the real reasons for the decline of old shopping malls, understand why previous efforts have not solved the problem, analyze the inherent nature of the decline of old shopping malls, and solve the problem essentially
But the internal reason is lack of customers
This area has a good geographical location and a very important historical position, but it is now very decayed and desolate. The government and related enterprises have provided help to the area many times, but with little effect and no practical solution to the problem. There are a large number of poor residents around the old city. Most of them have no fixed residence, no job, and no stable source of income. They wander on the streets all day long and are even prone to committing crimes, which has a great impact on the surrounding environment. Making the community environment worse has essentially affected the progress of the renovation of the old shopping mall.
Only by finding the root cause of the dry tree can we find a way to solve the problem
There is essentially no good community environment
People come together to help each other, but there is nothing they can do in the face of adversity.
Homeless people can be seen everywhere on the streets. They have no fixed residence.
Many people cannot find jobs and live by scavenging on the streets.
my family needs a house!
There is no place to sleep again today
Can anyone provide a job? I can do anything. Who will take pity on me?
I need a warm home, I can do whatever I want
Conduct interviews with local residents to truly understand what they need, discover their real needs, and use this to prescribe the right medicine to alleviate the surrounding community environment, thereby revitalizing the old shopping store.
Combined with research, transform the old shopping center into a public welfare commercial and residential mixed community, absorb the surrounding poor people, provide people with housing and job training, let people get out of their predicament and cheer up, and build a beautiful community together.
I’m full of hope for the future
The helped people now have housing and jobs, and their lives are no longer in embarrassment. They all live together in the community, which is full of vitality and prosperity.
The days are getting better
Residents in the community unite, love and help each other, grow fruits and vegetables together, contribute to the community, and jointly promote the prosperity and development of the community.
Community members grow and transform, and jointly manage and revitalize the community. The old shopping center continues to grow, and it can better help the poor and the weak. The recipients feed back the community, forming a positive cycle, promoting development, improving the community environment, and completely revitalizing the old shopping center.

Rebirth of port Urban design based on industrial heritage transformation andpublic space penetration in Qingdao Port Type: Urban design Collaboration: Individual Work Time: 2023,May Location: Qingdao,China
The project mainly solves the problem of vacant sites left after the port relocation and the renewal of old industrial buildings. After the preliminary systematic analysis of the plan, through effective streamline networks, diverse business structures, familyfriendly waterfront parks, appropriate building volumes and other key points, the plan also conducted a typological analysis of local buildings and then localized it. Finally, it was applied to the current site, and the industrial buildings on the site were updated to adapt to the times. Finally, an international port plan with Qingdao characteristics was derived to create a world-class port.
