This alphabet book is called L is for Lure of the Local, drawing inspiration and quotes from Lucy Lippard's original text, The Lure of the Local: Sense of Place in a Multicentered Society. In this project I pulled quotes and phrases based on their first letter and the feeling they evoked. From there I illustrated environments that corresponded to those moods and incorporated their respective letterforms into the illustrations to create a sense of play in place.
