We recommend that you start talking about these specifics with our Photo Concierge Team as soon as possible Remember, the time of year during which your event takes place, sunset time/available light, and your ceremony time weigh heavily into how your Photography logistics will play out

Session Time! If you ' ve booked an Engagement or Bridal Session (ask us for details), we'll reach out to coordinate Ideally, you'll want your session to take place 4+ months ahead of your wedding to give you time to use them for your Save-the-Dates, Guest Books, prints for display, etc
Your family photo list will be completed/submitted during your final details meeting with your Wedding Planner In tandem with your timeline, these documents will outline the important event details for your photographer, and help the day run smoothly from a photography perspective You will also decide on your editing style at/before this meeting
30 DAYS OUT WEEK OF WEDDING DAY
14 WEEKS
This is when we assign your Lead Photographer! Once we have your timeline and family photo list, you'll have an opportunity to hop on a call with your Assigned Lead Photographer to discuss any details surrounding your event This is a great opportunity to see if we need to add any photography coverage time to your day
We will send you an email with some helpful reminders to make the most of your photography experience!
You made it! Enjoy your day, cherish each moment and we’ll take care of the rest!
Your full gallery will be ready 10-14 weeks after your event, with some variability depending on seasonal volume

At Emily Chappell Productions, all wedding photography collections include basic and standard editing This process begins with image selection (culling), where we carefully choose the strongest images to tell the full story of your day Once selected, each image is edited for color, exposure, contrast, and cropped and/or straightened to provide a timeless look based on the Editing Style you have selected
While we want you to love your gallery as a whole, it's completely normal not to love every single photo of yourself We are all our own toughest critics, but every image contributes to the authentic story of your wedding day
It’s also important to note that more advanced retouching, like removing every flyaway hair, smoothing every pore, or reshaping features, is considered glamour retouching, which is not included in standard editing and is not an industry norm for wedding photography These edits often reflect unrealistic beauty standards promoted by social media, and they’re not reflective of real life
Because this kind of retouching also requires additional time and attention, offering it for every image would affect both delivery and certain package offerings Instead, we offer ECP Glamour Luxe Editing as an optional upgrade for clients who are looking for that extra refinement on select images We’re happy to provide more details if you ' re interested

HOW OFTEN WILL EMILY CHAPPELL PRODUCTIONS SEND ME EMAILS?
We send a welcome email shortly after you book your vendor or a la carte photography services, at the 60 day mark, and the week of your wedding But you are welcome to correspond with us at any point during your planning process Just send us an email!
CAN I SCHEDULE A PLANNING MEETING AFTER I BOOK?
Although we do not schedule phone calls or in-person meetings for planning and logistics, we are happy to help with anything you need via email! All of our office staff are seasoned photographers and can assist with photo logistics and questions
WHEN WILL I MEET MY PHOTOGRAPHER?
Your family photo list and timeline will be completed/submitted 90 days out from you event Once we have a copy of these documents, we'll get you connected with your photographer for a 30 minute Intro Call, usually around the 30-day mark
SHOULD I ADD A SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER?
There are many factors that might necessitate a second photographer, including a guest count of 150 or higher, more than 8 bridesmaids/groomsmen, or many photo requests For further assistance, please contact our team
WHEN WILL I GET MY PICTURES?
Full wedding galleries will be fully retouched and delivered to you in an online album 10-14 weeks after your wedding There may be some variability in delivery times due to seasonal volume
IS THERE A WAY TO GET PHOTOS BEFORE THE STANDARD DELIVERY TIME?
Sneak Peeks aren’t included by default, but we know how hard it is to wait to relive your day! If you ’ re dreaming of seeing your photos sooner, we offer exciting early-delivery options Ask us about our Guaranteed Sneak Peek, Rush Sneak Peek, and Rush Full Gallery Delivery upgrades so you can start swooning over your images as soon as possible
HOW MANY PHOTOS DO I GET?
Due to the live nature of events, we cannot guarantee a certain number of photos or specific images; however, we will do everything in our control to capture any special photo requests communicated to us prior to your wedding And yes, you will have plenty of opportunities to share your shot list for specific groupings and special moments! As a rule of thumb, we typically deliver between 500-800 full resolution edited photos (more or less depending on event logistics)
CAN WE PRINT OUR OWN PHOTOS OR IS PRINTING DONE THROUGH ECP?
We do offer professional print options, which can be ordered within your online gallery You are also able to download the images to your computer and take them to your preferred print shop, if you aren't looking for professional quality prints
WHY AREN‘T ALL OF MY PHOTOS EDITED AND DELIVERED?
The delivered gallery in its final form represents every image deemed worthy of inclusion by our Editing and Production Team They are the images which are not out of focus, blurry, under/overexposed, a near duplicate, badly composed, with blinking/bad expressions etc - and most importantly, the images that tell the story of your wedding day You are hiring our team to not only provide photography services on the day of your event, but also to use our brand’s artistic voice to decide which images to select and edit This is why we do not edit and deliver every photo taken
WHAT TYPE OF EDITING IS INCLUDED IN MY PHOTO PACKAGE?
You will get to choose from one of three curated Editing Styles which are based on the looks that are presented in all of our marketing collateral (Signature, Cinematic, and Romantic edits) Custom editing is not offered, but we are happy to take into account minor basic editing requests prior to the shoot
As an overview, the following basic editing is included in your package:

Basic Sharpening and Luminance
Multiple rounds of gallery editing (revisions, changing your editing style) are offered at $250 per gallery
CAN I SEND PHOTO INSPIRATION?
It is fun to see your vision and inspiration, and we are happy to share that with your photographer! We can definitely incorporate some of those themes, ideas and poses into your session Please keep in mind that due to the live nature of sessions and events, we cannot always guarantee specific images; however, we will do everything in our control to capture these special moments
WHEN SHOULD MY CEREMONY START?
Picking the time of your ceremony impacts all of your photos because of its proximity to sunset and the time we lose natural light There are many factors that play into the exact time your ceremony should start, such as whether or not you do a First Look But we recommend ceremonies start 152 hours before sunset, depending on what events & photos you will schedule before or after the ceremony
HOW LONG DO FORMAL PORTRAITS TAKE?
We allot 20-30 minutes for family formal portraits (usually after the ceremony), which is time for 10-12 family groupings Wedding Party portraits (bride & bridesmaids, groom & groomsmen, and full wedding party together) may also take 15-30 minutes, depending on size
We will photograph the couple portraits for as much time as we are given! But we do not recommend anything less than 20 minutes These are the most essential portraits of your wedding
WILL THE SAME PHOTOGRAPHER SHOOT THE ENGAGEMENT, BRIDAL, AND WEDDING?
When possible, we make it a priority to schedule the same photographer to shoot all events for a couple However, schedules do not always align, so there will be some instances where a couple has one photographer scheduled for their wedding, but a different photographer for one or both of their sessions Early session scheduling and requests are very helpful as we attempt to keep one photographer consistently photographing your events
WILL YOU COVER MULTIPLE OFF-SITE LOCATIONS ON MY EVENT DAY?
We’re happy to accommodate celebrations that take place across multiple locations, such as separate getting-ready or ceremony sites Rather than charging a travel or mileage fee, we simply require two additional hours of photography coverage This ensures your experience stays seamless and your gallery remains complete with every meaningful moment beautifully captured, rather than time being lost to transitions between venues. It’s the best way to preserve full, uninterrupted storytelling of your day from start to finish.
WHAT HAPPENS TO THE RAW PHOTOS?
The raw files are kept for 90 days after the event, while we work through the final edits After the gallery delivery, clients are responsible for backing up their final delivered JPEG images for long-term storage

Although your base package includes 8 hours of wedding day coverage, you may find that you could benefit from adding an extra hour or two to your photography schedule Once you start looking at your timeline, one of our reps can help you decide whether extended time is necessary
HOWDOIKNOWWHETHERINEEDASECONDPHOTOGRAPHERONMY WEDDINGDAY?
We recommend a second photographer if your guest count is over 150 or if you have multiple locations on your wedding day That said, a second photographer is almost always beneficial because of the multiple angles/perspectives and the ability to capture those special in-between moments while your lead photographer is focusing on another aspect

Engagement sessions are a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera and to work directly with one of our amazing photographers! You'll get the opportunity to learn how we pose and direct you while also capturing some of those special candid moments in between This helps you feel more confident on your wedding day Let us show you how amazing you both look together!
ARE BRIDAL SESSIONS ON THE WEDDING DAY OR BEFORE?
Bridal sessions happen before the wedding day and are a great trial run for the bride's hair, makeup, florals, and even dress alterations It's also a great way to get bridal photos in advance, which can be printed and displayed at the wedding
We are happy to share some of our favorite spots for your engagement session based on your vision! These locations are tried and true, with great lighting and a beautiful aesthetic You can preview sample images from each location on our comprehensive Location Guide
If you have a special location that you would like to use, which is not in this guide, please let us know There are some guidelines that need to be considered in order for us to select a location for photography - including lighting, location, and layout, but if your location meets this criteria, we may be able to utilize it for your session
WILL WE BE ABLE TO DISCUSS STYLE PREFERENCES AND INSPIRATION PRIOR TO THE SESSION?
You are certainly welcome to share inspiration photos or style preferences with us here, and we will make a note in your file so your photographer is prepared prior to your session or wedding Your session photographer will reach out to you the day before the session, to confirm and the first few minutes of the session are an excellent time to discuss details about what you would like to highlight during your session
CAN I HAVE MULTIPLE OUTFITS?
It is important to keep the number of outfits and locations equal to, or less than the number of coverage hours you have in your Session, so that your photographer has adequate time to photograph you Our sessions are typically about 90 minutes A couple may choose to add a second location or outfit, in which case sessions may extend up to, but not exceed 2 hours, to accommodate changing/drive time
CAN I SCHEDULE MY ENGAGEMENT SESSION NEXT WEEK?
Because of the volume of weddings and sessions we photograph every week, sessions must be scheduled with at least 4 weeks of lead time in order for us to fit it into our calendars This may require some advance planning from couples, to ensure they get their session scheduled during their desired timeframe
Sessions are only scheduled Monday-Thursday, 2 hours prior to sunset We are unable to accommodate weekend session requests, as our photography team is busy photographing weddings and events Friday-Sunday
WHAT IS A BRIDAL SESSION?
A bridal session is a full hour and a half of photography that takes place before the wedding day and is dedicated to our stunning brides and their wedding day look! Start coordinating your hair, makeup, florals, and dress because this is a session where we place the focus on you as the bride You'll get to see your bridal look all put together while getting some stunning photos of yourself We recommend choosing a couple of your favorite images from your session to display at your wedding reception - a timeless tradition that many of our brides love!

WHAT IS THE HIGHLIGHT REEL?
Our video team works hard to not only document special moments on your wedding day, but also after the wedding, to compile the most significant clips from the day into a cohesive story to highlight main events of your day The Highlight Film is our standard wedding video included with all packages, and pulls the best clips of the day into a 3-5 minute video These are the creme de la creme moments - mom buttoning the dress, the groom seeing his bride for the first time, tender words, special little moments together, guests having the time of their lives, and the personalized details you have put into your day
WILL MY CEREMONY/SPEECHES/DANCES BE IN THE HIGHLIGHT VIDEO?
The Highlight Reel does encompass moments from the entire day, especially the key times such as the ceremony, speeches and dances It will showcase brief video and audio clips in an artistic and emotional summary For a bit more content with complete video and audio clips, separate videos of the full ceremony, special dances and toasts can be added on to any video package
DO I GET 8 HOURS OF VIDEO FOOTAGE?
Every video package includes a 3-5 minute Highlight Film which is a compilation of clips throughout the 8 hours of coverage We also deliver the RAW (unedited) video footage from all cameras rolling on your day
WHAT TIME SHOULD MY VIDEOGRAPHER START THEIR COVERAGE?
We generally recommend that photography and videography start and end at the same time, so that they can document the same moments via different mediums If you add an extra hour of photography, you may want to consider adding extra time for your videographer as well For days with more logistics and varying photo and video coverage hours, we are happy to make specific recommendations to make the most of your photo and video teams
WHAT IS THE LATEST POINT I CAN ADD VIDEOGRAPHY?
It is ideal for us to add videography to your package at least 60 days before the wedding, so that we can finalize your contract upgrades, ensure staffing for your date and fully brief your video team on your event details You can book this by contacting your Wedding Planner or reaching out to the photography team
CAN I MAKE SPECIAL REQUESTS LIKE DRONE FOOTAGE OR SPECIFIC CLIPS INCLUDED IN MY VIDEO?
We love making your video personalized and specific to your day Please reach out to the ECP Video team with any specific requests so that we can make a note and prep the video team accordingly
CAN I PICK MY OWN MUSIC FOR THE VIDEO?
Our video team is happy to discuss any specific music requests with you Due to the variability of licensing, specific music requests must be addressed on a case-by-case basis Please reach out to the ECP Video team for further assistance
WILL I HAVE A CALL WITH MY VIDEOGRAPHER?
The ECP team will schedule an Intro Call with your lead photographer, who will be your main point of contact for wedding-day artistic direction Our video team will follow the flow of your lead photographer, and will also receive any wedding-related notes after the Photographer Intro Call For specific video requests, notes or questions, please reach out to our team via email
