ALUMINUM SULFATE* Used to acidify alkaline or neutral soil for holly, azaleas, rhododendrons and other plants. Also produces blue flowers on hydrangeas. Acidifying action makes iron in the soil more available in plants. Average use rate ½ to 1 lb. per 10 sq. ft. Use 1 lb. to 5 gals. of water 1/week for 5-7 weeks.
POTASSIUM NITRATE 13-0-44 HAZMAT “Nitrate of potash”. This water soluble material is a good source of potassium and nitrogen (in the nitrate form) in custom blends of liquid feed. Produces a slight alkaline residual in soils. MONO-POTASSIUM PHOSPHATE 14-61-0 A soluble salt that is a source of phosphorus and potassium and a buffering agent. When used with urea and ammonium phosphates, it minimizes escape of ammonia by keeping the pH relatively low. TRIPLE SUPER PHOSPHATE* 0-46-0 A very high source of phosphorus that has to be mixed very well throughout the growing medium. In media lacking sulfur, this material should be supplemented with gypsum or other sulfurcontaining fertilizer.

Micrel Total Has horticulturally correct ratio of magnesium, sulfur, boron, copper, iron, manganese, molybdenum and zinc. Immediately absorbs. MILLER IRON CHELATE 10% Water soluble, readily available to plants. Generally performs best on slightly acid to slightly alkaline and calcareous soils where pH is 6.0 to 7.5. MOLYBDENUM Aids in the transformation of nitrate nitrogen into protein. Deficiency is indicated by tissue death on leaf margin and leaves don’t fully expand or leaf burn due to nitrate build up in leaves. Nutricote Fertilizer Nutrients supplied through Nutricote fertilizer ideally match the physiology of a plants response to temperature. The release rate is not significantly influenced by soil moisture, soil type or ph and does not need complete decomposition for its action. Nutricote’s ability to outperform other products in extreme weather conditions has earned it much acclaim. During hot, humid and wet environmental conditions Nutricote maintains its consistent release characteristics and will not ‘dump’ nutrients during these stress conditions. Likewise, during cool periods Nutricote will slow down its release pattern to mimic the slower growth period of a plant’s dormant season.
