More than 70% of designers are self employed and can choose to work on the projects that they are passionate about and follow their dreams and aspirations wherever they lead. For young people seeking longterm employment, REAP Wairarapa operates the Youth2Work Wairarapa initiative in partnership with Carterton District Council and the Mayors Taskforce for Jobs, bridging the education-employment gap by

offering career guidance and work opportunities. Their Ngā Pūmanawa Tūpuna program encourages cultural pride and engagement with Māori traditions among youth, whilst getting them work and further education ready. REAP Wairarapa assists individuals of all ages with driver’s licensing for independence, provides adult education programs for lifelong learning, and offers Building Financial Capabilities to empower personal financial management.
