From Syllabus to Success: Your UPSC EPFO Roadmap Preparing for a government examination becomes easier when you know what to study and how to plan your preparation. For EPFO aspirants, understanding the syllabus is the first step towards building a strong strategy. The UPSC EPFO Syllabus covers subjects such as General English, Indian Freedom Struggle, Current Events, Indian Polity and Economy, Accounting, Labour Laws, Social Security, General Science, Computer Applications, Quantitative Aptitude, and Mental Ability. With the right plan, you can cover these subjects without feeling overwhelmed. This guide explains the exam pattern, important topics, preparation strategy, and common mistakes to help you prepare with confidence.

Understanding the UPSC EPFO Exam Pattern Before starting your preparation, understand the structure of the examination. The Recruitment Test (RT) consists of 120 objective-type questions carrying 300 marks. Candidates get 2 hours to complete the test. The written test is followed by a 100-mark interview for shortlisted candidates. Since you need to answer 120 questions within two hours, time management and accuracy are extremely important.

Recruitment Test The RT covers multiple subjects from general studies and specialised EPFO-related areas. Candidates should practise objective questions regularly. This will help them become familiar with different question formats and improve their speed.

Interview The interview carries 100 marks and is another important stage. Candidates should prepare topics related to EPFO, labour, social security, current affairs, and their understanding of administrative responsibilities. Work on your communication skills and practise answering questions clearly.
