Rose & Sage Decor is a floral design company specializing in weddings, corporate events, and intentional brand experiences. Rooted in artistry and guided by emotion, each design is thoughtfully curated to feel timeless, and deeply personal. Known for refined compositions, organic movement, and layered detail, Rose & Sage Decor creates floral moments that feel as meaningful as they are visually striking.
How do you approach wedding florals?
We approach all designs with intention, allowing the couple’s or client’s story, setting, and overall atmosphere to guide each design decision. We want our clients to feel moved by our work in the most beautiful way possible.
Just like fashion, flowers move with the seasons. Not every bloom is available year-round, so those dreamy peonies in January or striking dahlias in March may not arrive at their full potential, if at all. Knowing what’s naturally in season, or available regionally, allows for your florals to feel more abundant and effortlessly beautiful.

On April 23rd, VUE Atlanta gathered at the TaTe Diamonds showroom in Buckhead for a jaw-dropping night of quiet opulence and purposeful design. Celebrating the journey of the new Osino collection, guests experienced what makes a TaTe Namibian diamond different from any other jewel on the market. The night was a dazzling display of beauty, prosperity, and finding the perfect ring for your perfect day.
Founder and “King of the Diamonds,” Tashi Shiimi-yaShiimi, dazzled the room as much as the jewelry on display. He embodied what it means to have passion for your craft, as he explained his commitment to creating an impact that extends beyond the jewels themselves.

created an unforgettable atmosphere, patrons stepped onto a red carpet flanked by Range Rovers and enjoyed delicious bites throughout the night with hors d’oeuvres prepared by Chef Mobi.
Along with the dazzling diamonds, the night and the rings represented something much bigger than a simple fashion statement. TaTe Diamonds proudly contributes $250 from every jewelry purchase above $1,000 to help create sustainable communities for women, reinforcing the brand being rooted in heritage, intention, and a commitment to the craft.
Overall, the night was one of celebration. It was more than a showcase of diamonds, it was a representation of culture, luxury, and a reminder that true brilliance is more than how much the ring sparkles, it's the story carried with it.

How would you define your design philosophy when it comes to weddings? What does a “Jade Ladson wedding” feel like from a guest’s perspective?
Jade Ladson: “My design philosophy begins with intention. Beautiful weddings are everywhere, but meaningful design is what makes a celebration unforgettable. For me, every visual decision should support how the couple wants their guests to feel welcomed, immersed, and emotionally connected to the moment. A J. Ladson Wedding feels effortless from the guest’s perspective. It feels warm, elevated, and deeply personal, where every touchpoint has been considered with care. From the moment guests arrive, there is a sense of flow, comfort, and quiet luxury. Nothing feels random, and nothing feels forced. The beauty is layered, but the experience itself feels natural, gracious, and easy.”
When you begin working with a couple, where does the creative process typically start? Is it aesthetic, emotional, or something else entirely?
JL: “It always starts with emotion and intention long before aesthetics. I want to understand who they are together, how they entertain, what matters most to their families, and what memories they want people to carry home after the weekend is over. The aesthetic comes naturally once we understand the feeling we are creating. Design is never just about selecting pretty details; it is about translating emotion into an environment. Once we define the atmosphere, whether that is romantic, editorial, celebratory, or deeply rooted in family tradition, the visuals become a natural extension of that story and they just flow.”
What details do you believe make the biggest impact on the overall guest’s experience, but are often overlooked?
JL: “Flow is one of the most overlooked luxuries in wedding design. Guests may not remember every floral choice, but they absolutely remember how easy it felt to move through the day. Clear transitions, thoughtful timing, comfortable seating, lighting shifts, sound levels, and intuitive hospitality all shape the emotional memory of the event.
I also believe sensory details matter deeply: fragrance, texture, music transitions, candlelight, and the pace of service. These are the quiet details that guests may not be able to name, but they are what make the celebration feel immersive and unforgettable.”
How do you balance elevated design with creating something that still feels personal and not overproduced?
JL: “The balance comes from restraint and relevance. Just because something is luxurious does not mean it needs to be excessive. I believe the most elevated events are the ones where every detail has a purpose. We focus on the elements that genuinely reflect the couple rather than layering in trends for the sake of visual impact. Personalization should feel honest, not performative. When design decisions are rooted in story, lifestyle, and emotion, the final experience feels refined and deeply personal instead of overly staged.”
For couples planning now, what’s one piece of advice you always give that changes the way they think about their wedding?
JL: “I always remind couples that they are not just planning an event, they are curating a feeling. Once they shift from,“What will it look like?” to “How do we want people to feel?” every decision becomes clearer. That mindset changes everything: the guest list, the timeline, the flow of the evening, and even, where they invest their budget. The most memorable weddings are not always the most elaborate, they are the ones that make people feel something long after the last dance.”
Your work extends beyond weddings into authorship and mentorship. What story are you most passionate about telling in this season of your life?
JL: “In this season, I am most passionate about telling the story of legacy through service, storytelling, and intentional leadership. Weddings have always been the beginning, but what has become even more meaningful is sharing the wisdom gathered behind the scenes of those moments. Through Whispers of a Wedding Planner, I wanted to invite people into the emotional truths, lessons, and unseen moments that shape both celebrations and the people creating them. Public speaking has become an extension of that same mission. Whether I’m speaking to wedding professionals, women entrepreneurs, or audiences navigating their own next chapter, I want them to walk away understanding that luxury is not just aesthetic, it’s intention, care, and the courage to build something meaningful. More than anything, the story I want to tell right now is that our work, our voice, and our lived experiences can all become part of the legacy we leave behind.”
How has your journey through marriage, motherhood, and now, grandmotherhood shaped the way you guide couples through their wedding season?
JL: “My journey through marriage, motherhood, and grandmotherhood has deeply shaped the way I serve my couples. Marriage has taught me that love is built in the
quiet, intentional choices we make every day; the checkins, the grace, and yes, sometimes simply choosing patience when life gets busy. Motherhood taught me how to lead with both structure and softness, because anyone who has raised children knows that sometimes the plan changes before breakfast and you learn to pivot with love. Now, stepping into grandmotherhood has added an even sweeter layer to that perspective, giving me a deeper appreciation for legacy, family, and the beautiful little moments that eventually become the stories everyone tells for years to come.
To me, a wedding is never just the start of a marriage, it is the
beginning of a family story that will be told for generations. I understand how quickly these moments become the memories we return to, the photographs we pass down, and the stories shared around future dinner tables. That perspective makes every celebration feel incredibly sacred to me.
It allows me to guide my couples with both calm leadership and heartfelt intention, helping them stay present not only for the beauty of the day, but for the love, meaning, and legacy woven into every moment. My hope is always that long after the music fades, what remains is the feeling of being fully seen, fully celebrated, and deeply cared for.”

There are two types of dinners in Atlanta. The ones you squeeze in, and the ones you plan your entire night around. Atlas is definitely the latter.
Tucked inside The St. Regis Atlanta, Atlas has been one of the city’s hardest reservations to get since it opened in 2015. A decade later, that still holds true. Under Chef Freddy Money, who joined in 2020, the restaurant earned Atlanta’s first Michelin star and remains at the forefront of the city’s fine dining scene. But Atlas doesn’t seem to be chasing anything. If anything, it stays confident. It knows what it does well and avoids complicating things.
I spent nearly six hours enjoying the spring tasting menu. What initially stands out isn’t a dish, it’s the pacing. It’s rare to sit through a meal this long without feeling it. Here, you don’t. Courses arrive when they should. The table resets without interruption. You’re never left waiting, but you never feel rushed either.
The menu begins with a series of “Snax,” and somehow, a simple slice of Asian pear turns out to be one of the most memorable bites of the night. Crisp, cold, and clean, it refreshes your palate and your expectations in just a couple of seconds.
From there, the menu finds its rhythm. Kristal caviar with squash and smoked sturgeon. A prawn cocktail with avocado leans into the classic rather than trying to reinvent it. Each course is layered, detailed, and carefully crafted for a great bite.
That’s really where Atlas stands. Precise, composed, and fully in control of its vision. As the menu progresses, the shift into spring becomes clear. White asparagus with smoked butter and cured yolk. Turbot with sea greens. There’s a freshness in this part of the menu that breaks up the experience at just the right moment. Then, it gets richer. Liberty Farms Lamb with pesto, artichoke, and young turnips. Westholme Wagyu with pickles and condiments. The flavors are stronger here, but the balance remains clear; nothing feels overdone.
The wine pairing flows with it all. Riesling, Champagne, red wine, you get a bit of everything, and it’s paced in a way that matches the food without getting ahead. And that’s perhaps what Atlas does best. It combines precision with personality. You can sense the effort put into each plate. By the end of the night, it’s clear Atlas isn’t trying to win you over with a single moment. It’s the consistency, control, and the way every element of the experience holds its place without faltering.

“To this day, people still say this is the best wedding they've been to."
To say that Christine Harmon knows how to throw a party is an understatement. Let’s take her wedding with her husband, threetime Super Bowl Champion Duron Harmon, that she planned herself. It remains an event remembered.
“To this day, people still say this is the best cocktail hour and dance party they’ve attended,” shares Christine. “The only time the dance floor was empty was during dinner, and even then, no one wanted to sit down. It truly felt like a party. It was fantastic.”
This is our bridal issue, let’s talk about 2026 trends, what are you seeing right now?
CH: “Dramatic drapery with a modern twist is super trendy right now. It offers an elevated, sophisticated appearance. Couples are opting for bolder colors like emerald and chocolate, as well as neutrals like white or cream paired with striking accents. I love that bold choices are becoming popular because I’m a bit tired of allwhite weddings. While I appreciate the classic look, there are only so many variations of it. We’re also seeing a resurgence of intimate, micro events (around 60-70 guests), which I’ve always adored.”
What are the trends with food?
The official event designer of the Women’s Association for the Atlanta Falcons and Tennessee Titans studied hospitality at St. John’s University, and cut her teeth on establishments that most dream about working at: Northeastern University (event manager), The Plaza Hotel (lead hostess and event assistant), and MoMA’s two-Michelin-starred restaurant, The Modern. But it was the successful execution of her own wedding that made her want to found her bespoke event planning company, ChrisFête Events.
In the industry for fifteen years now, today, Christine plans luxurious, personalized events across the country and internationally for clients that include high-profile athletes and executives. “We handle everything from the initial concept to custom designs and concepts, along with logistics, planning, and execution.”
CH: “While I focus on design, I've noticed an uptick in small food carts, like mini pancake stations. Customized carts featuring beloved snacks, such as pizza, truffle fries, and Wagyu sliders are becoming popular. Late-night snacks are still elevated and trendy. We’re also seeing dessert towers in coupe glasses, reminiscent of champagne towers. Italy is a hot wedding destination right now; couples are bringing that classic Italian cake adorned with fruit and powdered sugar wherever they are.”
Where are couples hosting events/weddings?
CH: “Destination weddings are highly sought after, but they require careful planning due to various logistical challenges. Some towns may close during certain seasons. It's essential to hire a planner who understands these nuances to avoid costly mistakes. Many couples dream of marrying in Italy or similar locations, favoring limestone estates. In Georgia, venues like The Swan House and The Conservatory, a glass venue northwest of Atlanta, are gaining popularity for their destination-like charm.”
What wedding dress trends are you seeing?
CH: “Simpler, timeless dresses are in vogue, moving away from the overly embellished, puffy styles. I adore the trend toward satin and silk; that's what I wore a decade ago. Everyone is loving satin spaghetti straps— cute, dainty, and classic.”
Who would wear this trend really well?
CH: “Hailey Bieber.”
Tell me about the most luxurious event you’ve planned.
CH: “In 2020, I worked with an NFL couple who were hesitant about their wedding plans. Once they brought us on board and secured their venue dates, we executed the entire project in just three weeks. We spent between $35,000 and $40,000 for an intimate wedding with 13 guests, featuring all-white décor, a custom floor, monogramming, and lush, allwhite floral centerpieces.”
What is your favorite part about what you do?
CH: “Creating mood boards is my favorite part. I could do that all day, every day.”
What projects are you looking forward to working on this year?
CH: “I’m thrilled about an upcoming Sweet 16 event next month, featuring bright pink and lemon colors, along with peach and orange accents. It’s going to be so much fun because I’m definitely a pink girl!”
If you could plan any event that you haven't done yet, what would that be?
CH: “That’s an easy one! I’d love to plan Cardi B's clothing line launch party in collaboration with Revolve. I even have a pitch deck ready! I met her last September and got starstruck, which is surprising since I work with many celebrities. I didn’t even give her my pitch.”
