Ahead of the Aug. 11 primary election, five Democratic candidates for the Chittenden Southeast Senate district are vying for their party’s three spots on the Nov. 3 general election ballot. The recent decision by Meach Cove Farms to trap a beaver that had taken up residence and start-
ed gnawing nearby trees brought passionate pushback. Over the years, beavers have occasionally moved in and out of the farm’s small man-made pond along Limerick Road. It’s under-
