The atmospheric 17th-century house on the banks of the River Thames is one of the grandest Stuart houses in England. Internationally recognised for its superb collection of paintings, furniture and textiles (largely acquired 400 years ago), it is reputed to be one of the most haunted houses in Britain. Stonehenge is the best-known prehistoric monument in Europe and one of the Wonders of the World. Enjoy a free audioguide which you can download in advance or on the day that will guide you as you wander around the famous stone circle. There will be a free shuttle bus to the ancient stone circle that you can use during the visit. In the afternoon you will have some free time exploring the historic city of Salisbury, where you can enjoy lunch or shop for some retail therapy.

A wonderful day out to Kensington Palace & Gardens. Explore the birthplace of Queen Victoria and home to young royals for over 300 years. Discover the story of Punjabi princess and suffragette icon, Sophia Duleep Singh and the five women who shaped her extraordinary life, in this new exhibition for 2026. Showcasing numerous items which illustrate the stories of these women and their relationships with Queen Victoria, the Empire and each other. Airbourne Eastbourne is one of the UK's largest and best free airshows. The 'flying line' is more or less between the pier and the foot of Beachy Head, with many of the ground displays and stalls being on the © Flickr - William Warby Western Lawns. The show is well supported by the Royal Air Force and the other UK armed services and attracts support from air forces overseas. Flying displays are subject to RAF operational commitments, weather and serviceability.

Come to the island that produces Britain's most pungent garlic from its multi-awardwinning farm. After a short ferry crossing and some free time in Godshill, we arrive at the festival with time to watch the demonstrations, sample local fayre, visit the craft and produce stalls and enjoy live entertainment. D3319 Originally built as an archbishop’s palace, Knole has passed through royalty to the Sackville family, who still live here today. Inside art lovers will find Reynolds, Gainsborough and Van Dyck as well as seventeenth century tapestries and furniture. Ightham Mote was built nearly 700 years ago, this house has been owned by medieval knights, courtiers to Henry VIII and high society Victorians. The house is surrounded by peaceful gardens with an orchard, water features, lakes and woodland walks.

We start our day at the horticultural work of art, Sheffield Park Gardens, a magnificent, landscaped garden laid out in the 18th Century by 'Capability' Brown. Take in the striking surroundings and wander around the lakes. In the afternoon we make our way to the Bluebell Railway with time to look around the museum before our return train journey with a delicious cream tea served onboard as we travel through the picturesque Sussex countryside.

During the summer months Buckingham Palace is open to the public to enjoy some of the wonderful rooms and artifacts on display. Amongst the many highlights of this visit you will see the State Rooms, The Throne Room, The Picture Gallery and The White Drawing Room. As part of this multimedia audio guided tour, you will experience the mesmerising architecture of the enormous Ballroom which was ordered for construction by Queen Victoria. Refreshments & gift shop are available at the end of your visit.

Dover Castle – ‘The Key to England’ has guarded our shores for 20 centuries. Explore the atmospheric Secret Wartime Tunnels, including a recreation of the Dunkirk evacuation and visit the Great Tower to learn about medieval life at King Henry II's court. With exciting exhibitions, tunnels to explore, ghosts to hunt, restaurants, shops and open spaces, it’s a wonderful place to visit!

Bruges is a magical city, especially in winter, when its cobbled streets are alive with festivities and glowing with Christmas lights. The Market Square is transformed by the Christmas Market which surrounds the ice rink, and boasts stalls selling many seasonal delights, including traditional arts and crafts, decorations, and many choices of food and other delicacies. We travel via the Euro Tunnel to Calais, arriving in Bruges at approximately 1pm. Due to restrictions in the town centre, the coach will stop at a designated drop-off point, from which there is a 10-minute walk or short bus ride to the town centre and Market Square. DAY EXCURSIONS INFORMATION AND ADVICE If you need any further information about anything contained in this brochure, please contact our office in Aldwick, by telephone or in person. Further information can also be found on our website: www.woodstravel.co.uk.

MAKING A BOOKING Bookings can be made by telephone or by visiting our office in Aldwick, or by any of our appointed agents. On most excursions we can hold places on your behalf for 2 days without obligation. After this time, each excursion should be paid in full to complete the booking. If we do not hear from you before this deadline, we will assume that the booking is to be cancelled.

CONFIRMATION OF BOOKING Once you have paid, a confirmation ticket will be issued which acts as a boarding pass on the day of the excursion. It will contain information such as your seat number(s) and pick up time. Return times are also given, but only provide an approximate guideline. We can email these tickets to you, or you can pay a £1 fee per transaction and have the tickets posted to you.

METHOD OF PAYMENT All normal methods of payment including cash are possible at our offices and appointed agents, or by post with a cheque and a self-addressed stamped envelope, or by credit/debit card by telephone. Cheques should be made payable to Woods Travel Ltd.

BOARDING THE COACH Your travel ticket clearly shows the departure point and time. Please check this carefully. You are responsible for ensuring you are at the correct departure point at the correct time, and we cannot be

liable for any loss or expense suffered by passengers because of their late arrival at any departure point. The coach will wait 5 minutes only before departing.

NON-ARRIVAL OF COACH If the vehicle has not arrived 10 minutes after the due time of departure you must immediately telephone our office where we will advise you of any problem.

DELAYS We arrange departure times to give reasonable allowance for delays which may be incurred en route to venues. In the event of delays beyond our reasonable control (roadworks, accidents, major incidents etc.), liability is restricted to returning you to your point of departure.

PASSENGERS WITH DISABILITIES Should you or a member of your party have any medical condition or disability that may affect the excursion or theatre booking, please advise us prior to confirming the booking so that we can advise as to the suitability of the trip and/or venue. If a passenger requires assistance then they must travel with an able bodied carer or friend. Please advise us if you intend to bring any walking aids, particularly scooters as only certain models can be accommodated in the hold of the coach. Every effort will be made to accommodate each passenger who wishes to travel.

SHOW CASTINGS We are unable to guarantee that advertised or particular performers will appear in any show or concert, and no refunds will be made unless offered by the supplier/promoter.

Terms & Conditions ALTERATIONS We reserve the right to change the coach size for any excursion, which may result in your seat number changing, and although we will always endeavour to keep you in your original booked seat, this may not be possible. Whilst every effort will be made not to alter any part of the excursion, if circumstances are such that alterations are required, we reserve the right to do so. The company gives advice on journey times in good faith, but does not guarantee the completion of any journey at a specific time and will not be liable for loss or inconvenience caused by delay due to traffic conditions, weather etc. We reserve the right to apply a surcharge to bookings if fuel prices, taxes or attraction/venue costs are increased by parties outside of our control.

CONDUCT OF PASSENGERS The company reserves the right to refuse to carry any passenger in the event of unreasonable conduct which in our opinion is likely to cause damage, distress, danger or annoyance to other clients, employees, property or to any third party. If you are prevented

from travelling or continuing your excursion by such a termination our responsibility for your excursion thereupon ceases. Full cancellation charges will apply and we will be under no obligation for any refund, compensation or loss which may occur.

CANCELLATIONS (A) BY THE COMPANY Should circumstances arise, for whatever reason, and we are forced to cancel an excursion, all monies paid will be refunded. If Woods are able to resell your tickets on your behalf there will be a £10 per person charge for this service.
