DIRECTOR'S MESSAGE

June

2026

I must say June is one of my favorite months, it’s the halfway mark for the year, where days are at their longest and everything is finally starting to heat up. The longer days seem fitting, with the extra daylight allowing more hours to get all the abundant summer projects accomplished, and we have a full summer schedule planned for the Chamber.

We are gearing up for Music on the Green, starting on the last Wednesday of the month (June 24) and running every other Wednesday until the first Wednesday in September (Sept 2). Our first concert of the season will feature JuJu Eyeball, starting at 6pm to 7:30 at American Legion Park. Be sure to mark your calendar and join us all summer long.

The Chamber has had an abundance of Ribbon Cuttings this year, 18 so far, and there are more scheduled in June, watch for them in your weekly updates.

Lunch and Learns are scheduled for the last Tuesday of each month and we hope you will join us each month. For June 30, we have Michael Powell with Edward Jones, speaking on maximizing your workplace retirement plan.

Coffee Clatter continues to be a weekly favorite, with most Clatters drawing in 80+ members every week, don’t miss out and invite a friend to join us for this awesome networking opportunity.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

HAVE A FANTASTIC SUMMER!

The Fourth of July parade is coming up, celebrating our Nations 250th anniversary, don’t miss out on being part of all the festivities scheduled for this momentous occasion. Information can be found online.

Be sure to check your weekly Chamber Updates, which are emailed out every Monday, for more exciting events happening with your Chamber.

Advocacy

As we prepare for our Nations 250th Birthday, it is a good time to stop and think about some of the foundational building blocks that our great nation is built on and how our small, yet mighty Chamber helps build upon those blocks.

A Chamber of Commerce as an organization of businesses seeking to further their collective interests, while advancing their community, region, state or nation. Chambers advocate on behalf of the community at large, in hopes to build economic prosperity for all. A Chamber advocates on levels for the success of business, which is a key building block. Our nation was built by the hands of strong determined individuals and businesses. The Redmond Chamber works closely with our partners, such as the Oregon State Chamber of Commerce and the US Chamber to advocate and provide educational opportunities to grow and strengthen local

businesses. Our strength lies within our collective voice.

The Redmond Chamber not only advocates for businesses, but we are also the heart and champions of our community. We create events that draw us together and help foster a love of community. Parades, concerts and events are more than just fun activities, they are the glue which holds us together. Creating memories for children, which grow up loving their hometown and making them want to stay and be part of community – this is economic development. Creating an environment where people want to live, work and play is a long-term investment and strategy. The Redmond Chamber is multi-faceted, working to build businesses, and to create a strong cohesive community. The Chamber works hard every day to make Redmond the best it can be and our success is evident in our membership, and see our mission is strategic and foundational.

The Redmond Chamber is proud to serve our members and community, and during this time of celebration with our Nations 250, let’s all work together to continue to make Redmond and the United States of America the best it can be. Happy 250th Birthday!

Have a fantastic summer!!

Greetings To All Of Our Amazing Members!

Summer is creeping around the corner and will be in full swing before we know it. It is hard to believe that we will be halfway through the year by the end of this month… time sure does fly! June is full of graduation celebrations, prom nights, children starting their much-awaited summer breaks, and families planning their vacations. It’s easy to get wrapped up in the excitement and hustle of summer, but I hope that we all take a moment or two to slow down and take a break from our busy schedules to enjoy an evening summer breeze or a beautiful Central Oregon sunset every once in a while.

This month, I would like to talk about networking…something most of us are familiar with but may not know the full benefits of. The Redmond Chamber of Commerce hosts several networking events every month that provide great opportunities for businesses to meet and engage with other local professionals in the community. Do you know what they all are? Most of you do, but for those who are new to the Redmond Chamber of Commerce or need a refresher, here are all of our networking functions that are available to our members each month:

- Coffee Clatter (Every Friday – 8:30 AM To 9:30 AM)

- Business After Hours (Every 2nd Tuesday – 4:30 PM To 6:00 PM)

- Lunch & Learn (Every Last Tuesday – 11:30 AM To 1:00 PM)

- Ribbon Cuttings

These networking events can play a crucial role in helping a business grow and succeed, but despite the simple fact that networking is a fun way to be social, get to know your community better, and to have fun while promoting your business, I would like to touch on a few reasons how and why networking can be such an important part of growing a business.

Build Business Relationships: Connect with other professionals, potential clients, suppliers, and industry experts. Build relationships and establish a network of contacts that can lead to valuable partnerships, collaborations, and referrals.

Generate Leads: Attract like-minded individuals who are interested in forming business relationships or seeking solutions. By actively engaging in conversations and showcasing your products or services, you can generate leads and potential customers.

Share Knowledge & Learn: Share and learn from your own and other’s experiences, knowledge and expertise. Gain new insight from feature speakers, panel discussions and workshops that cover industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.

Access New Opportunities: Connect with a diverse group of professionals and uncover new opportunities for business expansion, joint ventures, collaborations, or even funding. Increase the likelihood of discovering fresh perspectives and untapped opportunities from people and businesses of different backgrounds and industries.

Build Brand Awareness: Showcase your brand and expertise. By effectively conveying your business’s value proposition and unique selling points, you can raise awareness about your products or services among potential clients, partners, and influencers.

Gain Industry Insights: Engage in discussions with industry leaders and experts. These interactions can provide valuable insights into market trends, customer preferences, and industry challenges, helping you refine your business strategies and stay ahead of the competition.

Enhance Professional Development: Improve your professional skills, such as public speaking, interpersonal communication, and negotiation. By actively engaging in conversations and presentations, you can enhance your abilities and build confidence, which can positively impact your business interactions.

Receive Feedback & Validation: Receive feedback on your business ideas, products, or services from experienced professionals. Constructive criticism and validation from industry peers can help you refine your offerings, identify areas for improvement, and validate your business strategies.

Networking events sometimes don’t get the recognition that they deserve, but as we all can see, actively participating in such events offers businesses a multitude of benefits. I, of course, am a little biased and will shamelessly say, that the Redmond Chamber of Commerce just so happens to do a stellar job of hosting such networking opportunities for its members. So come join us for the next Coffee Clatter, Business After Hours, Lunch & Learn or Ribbon Cutting and see how you can tap into Redmond’s business community to promote growth and success of your business. Visit our website, Facebook page or contact us at the office for more information on dates, times and locations of our fabulous networking events. Until next month, enjoy the sun, breathe in the summer air and do what you love.

As communities across the nation prepare to celebrate America's 250th anniversary, the Redmond Chamber is launching a special commemorative video project that will capture the spirit of Redmond (Flag City USA), through the stories of our businesses, community members, and one of our most beloved traditions—the Redmond 4th of July Parade.

Produced in partnership with Alpenglow Films, this professionally produced short film will highlight the people, organizations, and businesses that have helped shape Redmond into the community it is today. Through interviews, business footage, parade highlights, and community testimonials, the project will serve as a lasting tribute to our community and this historic milestone.

Only two featured sponsorship spots remain for this commemorative video project! Participating businesses will receive a professionally filmed interview, on-location footage, inclusion in the final film, and copies of all footage featuring their business for future use.

This opportunity is best suited for businesses that have a strong connection to Redmond and want to share their story, community involvement, and impact on the region. Rather than a traditional advertisement, this project is designed to preserve and celebrate the stories that make Redmond special.

Participation is limited to three featured sponsorships at $1,800 each.

If you are interested in learning more about this unique opportunity, please contact the Chamber office. We'd love to discuss how your story could become part of this commemorative project.

This video project is produced in collaboration between the Redmond Chamber and Alpenglow Films. About Aplenglow Films: Alpenglow Films (formerly Zion Pictures) is a video and film production company with three decades experience in the art of storytelling and the craft of cinematography. Owner/operator Eli Pyke is passionate about helping you tell your story, communicate with your audience, capture the uniqueness of your product, and engage with you in a custom creative process.

Overview

Highlighting Central Oregon’s favorite 4th of July event (Redmond 4th of July Parade), commemorating the 250th anniversary of the United States of

America, and telling the story of select local businesses. The goal of this project is to draw attention to community partners that have had an impact on the community of Redmond, and are proud to be Central Oregonians. The final project will contain three major themes: 4th of July Parade Highlights, Business Stories, and Community Testimonials. This will create a piece of media that tells the story of our community, celebrating our local pride, and commemorating the 250th anniversary of the United States of America.

Involvement in this project is ideal for longtime community players, who contribute to the success and wellbeing of Redmond, and create a positive environment for growth and prosperity.

This is a limited, high impact opportunity, to forever be recognized in association with the semiquincentennial celebration in Redmond, Oregon. The total sponsorship amount to participate and receive a business spotlight in this short film is $1,800, and only three (3) spots are available. Each participating business will have their story woven into the video, featuring interview highlights and b-roll

of their business and/or operations. This is not an opportunity strictly for business promotion, but an outlet to tell your story in relation to your involvement and impact on the community.

Sponsorship includes:

Interview and B-Roll filmed by Alpenglow Films

Business name, logo, and story featured in the official Redmond Legacy: America’s 250th video

Permanent placement in the Chamber’s video archive (of which some footage may be used year over year)

Copies of all footage pertaining to your business, with full usage rights

A copy of the final cut.

Businesses that feel an extra strong connection to Redmond and this Country are allowed to purchase more than one sponsorship spot. In doing so, their business story and community connection will be told in greater detail. For example, should one business choose to purchase all three available spots, they would be the exclusive business highlighted in the film.

Music on the Green Is Back, and Summer in Redmond Wouldn’t Feel Right Without It

Title sponsors: Brian Myers State Farm Insurance and Republic Services.

Band Sponsor: OnPoint Community Credit Union.

Beer and Wine Sponsor: Tin Shield Roofing.

There are some events that just feel like summer in Redmond, and Music on the Green is one of them.

As the days get longer and people start looking for reasons to be outside a little later, this series gives the community a simple, fun way to come together. It is not complicated, and that is part of the charm. Bring a lawn chair or a blanket, grab dinner from a local food vendor, say hi to a few familiar faces, and settle in for a night of live music at American Legion Park. It is one of those Redmond traditions that keeps people coming back year after year.

This year’s Music on the Green series kicks

off Wednesday, June 24, with vendors opening at 5:30 p.m. and live music running from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. The lineup stretches across the summer and brings a great mix of styles to the park, which means every concert has its own feel.

The season opens with JuJu Eyeball on June 24, followed by The Substitutes on July 8 and Leadbetter Band on July 22. In August, the series continues with Pete Kartsounes on August 5 and That 90’s Band on August 19. The final concert of the season will feature Hokule’a Ohana on September 2, closing out the summer with a night that is sure to bring plenty of energy and community spirit.

One of the best things about Music on the Green is that it does not feel like a formal event. It feels like Redmond being Redmond. Families spread out in the grass. Kids dance in front of the stage. Friends run into each other between songs. People stay longer than they planned because the atmosphere is easy, welcoming, and fun. It is a midweek reminder that community does not always need a big production. Sometimes it just needs a park, good music,

and people willing to show up.

The music is obviously a huge part of the draw, but it is not the only reason people come out. The vendor area adds a lot to the experience, with food, drinks, sweet treats, local businesses, and community organizations all helping create a lively evening downtown. For many attendees, Music on the Green has become a full outing, not just a concert. It is dinner, conversation, shopping, people-watching, and live entertainment all rolled into one.

It is also a great example of what makes Redmond special. This series highlights local connection in a very real way. It gives residents a reason to gather, gives visitors a taste of the community, and gives local vendors and organizations a chance to be part of something that people genuinely look forward to. That matters. Events like this help create the kind of town people want to be part of.

If you have been before, you already know the feeling. If you have never made it out to Music on the Green, this is the summer to

change that. Come for one concert or make a plan to attend the whole series. Each night brings something a little different, but the heart of it stays the same: good music, a relaxed crowd, and a summer evening well spent in Redmond.

We are looking forward to another season of full lawns, familiar faces, and a soundtrack for summer in the park.

2026 Music on the Green Lineup

June 24: JuJu Eyeball

July 8: The Substitutes

July 22: Leadbetter Band

August 5: Pete Kartsounes

August 19: That 90’s Band

September 2: Hokule’a Ohana

Vendor Applications Open for Redmond Brewfest and Night Glow

Planning is underway for one of Redmond’s biggest summer events, and vendor applications are now open for Redmond Brewfest and Night Glow, happening Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at American Legion Park.

This event has become a standout part of summer in Redmond, drawing a strong crowd and creating a fun, high-energy atmosphere in the heart of the community. Last year, more than 7,000 attendees came through over the course of the evening, making Brewfest and Night Glow a major opportunity for vendors who want visibility, foot traffic, and direct engagement with a large audience.

Redmond Brewfest and Night Glow brings together several elements that make it especially appealing for attendees and vendors alike. The event features craft beer, community gathering, and the signature Night Glow experience that has become a highlight of the evening. It is the kind of event where people arrive ready to spend time, walk through

vendor areas, try something new, and enjoy everything happening around them. That creates real value for vendors looking to connect with potential customers in person.

For food vendors, it is a chance to serve a large and engaged crowd during one of the busiest community events of the season. For retail vendors, makers, artisans, and servicebased businesses, it offers a strong platform to introduce products, grow brand awareness, and have conversations with people who are actively exploring the event. For community organizations and nonprofits, it is a good opportunity to reach both residents and visitors in a setting where people are open, engaged, and interested in what local businesses and organizations have to offer.

One of the strengths of Redmond Brewfest and Night Glow is the mix of people it attracts. The event draws local residents, regional visitors, families, friend groups, and people looking for a lively summer experience in Redmond. That wide audience helps create strong exposure for participating vendors and makes the event a good fit for a broad range of businesses and organizations.

Because the event is held at American Legion Park and runs through the evening, vendors benefit from being part of a setting that encourages people to stay, mingle, and spend time moving throughout the event space. It is not a quick in-and-out event. People come to experience the full evening, and that gives vendors more opportunity to be seen and remembered.

If your business offers food, retail products, handmade goods, specialty items, services, or community resources that would be a good fit for a large summer event, now is the time to apply. Vendor space is limited, and interest is expected to be strong as the event gets closer.

Redmond Brewfest and Night Glow continues to be one of the Chamber’s signature community events, and vendors play a big role in making the evening feel vibrant, welcoming, and full of local character. Businesses and organizations that want to be part of that experience are encouraged to apply early.

Questions about vendor opportunities can be directed to Lacie at the

I Built a Global AI Coaching App from Redmond. It’s Free to Try. Most managers don’t have a coach. They have a performance review once a year, maybe a team meeting that runs long, and a to-do list that never gets shorter. Supervisors, team leads, the people translating decisions from above into action on the ground: they rarely get real leadership support. They’re expected to figure it out.

I decided to do something about that.

I’m a Redmond-based executive coach. I’ve spent years working with managers and supervisors across industries and cultures. This spring, I launched Interface Coaching AI on the Apple App Store. It’s available in 175 countries, coaches in almost as many languages, and it was built right here in Central Oregon. What makes it different from generic AI tools is the methodology behind it. I developed my coaching frameworks over years of hands-on work with real managers across industries, cultures, and organisation types. My approach is shaped partly by my Danish background, where flat hierarchies mean supervisors carry genuine authority and genuine accountability, and where the distance between executive decisions and frontline execution is taken seriously. I’ve coached in environments where that gap is managed well and others where it quietly destroys teams. Most leadership development is designed for people at the top. I built this for the person below them.

The coaching focuses on what I think of as the real work of management. Not broad theory, not frameworks borrowed from a business school textbook. The conversation that keeps getting postponed. The employee who has potential but isn’t delivering. The team dynamic everyone feels but nobody names. Rather than prescribing answers, the sessions help you see the situation you’re actually in, then work through it. One problem at a time, something you can use today. That thinking also runs through my book, Three Chapters: How Leaders Grow, Get Stuck, and Grow Again, which looks at why capable managers plateau and what it takes to move forward. The app is the coaching version of the same ideas, available whenever you need it.

The origin story is worth knowing. I had no development team, no technical background. I had my methodology and a conviction: the people holding organizations together every day deserve better support than they get. So I built the app using AI as my co-developer. This is what building in 2026 looks like, and it surprised even me.

If you manage people, Interface Coaching AI gives you a coaching session on demand, grounded in real methodology, available at 11pm if that’s when you need it, without booking a call or paying upfront. It’s free to start. Sign in, begin a session, see if it works for you. A subscription is available for those who want to go further, but there’s no credit card required to try it.

Android users won’t have to wait long. Google Play is currently in review.

NEWS FROM An Unexpected Event In Crooked River Ranch

the ranch

Who doesn’t love an ‘old fashioned’ circus? Well, that’s just what Crooked River Ranch HOA offered to the Ranch community. Culpepper & Merriweather Circus. A traveling circus that only performs in small towns across many states including TX, NM, OR, ID, UT and more. They mainly connect with these towns through their local Lions Clubs and work directly with them to bring a fun filled event.

The circus began in 1985 in Arizona. They only asked for donations and the company grew from there. They are on the road 32 weeks a year with 90 minutes of an action packed show. 200 towns in 17 states. Their specialty is affordable, family friendly event enjoyable for all ages.

The Culpepper & Merriweather Circus is a fast paced show to include juggling, big cats, performance dogs, tight wire, wheel of destiny, circus clown, foot juggling, trapeze and fire eating.

As for the animals, the majority of them are rescues. They all have a check up with the veterinary every 30 days. Training is based on positive reinforcement rewarding with treats, and the animals have their own choice of free will. Some days they do everything asked of them and other days they make their trainers look silly.

The feedback from the Crooked River Ranch attendees was overwhelmingly positive with a request to make sure the circus returns. The Ranch schedule was for May 26, 2026 with a tent raising at 9:30am and two shows at 5:00pm and 7:30pm. There were traditional circus foods, facepainting, pony rides and bouncy houses, easy parking guided by attendants. The show itself was under the beautiful “Big Top”, up close and personal.

Keep your eyes open for the possibility of other surprise events happening in our little piece of paradise right here in Central Oregon.

Lunch & Learn has become one of the Redmond Chamber’s most valuable member programs because it is built on a simple idea: by members, for members. These sessions give Chamber businesses the chance to learn directly from fellow members who know their industries inside and out. Instead of broad, generic advice, attendees hear practical ideas from local professionals who are doing the work every day. That makes Lunch & Learn useful, approachable, and rooted in the real needs of Redmond’s business community. The Chamber’s strategic plan highlights monthly Lunch & Learn presentations alongside networking events like After Hours as core member offerings.

The primary focus of Lunch & Learn is education. Each session gives a host business the opportunity to lead a conversation on a topic they know well and share insights that can help other members grow. A financial professional might walk attendees through budgeting tips or cash flow basics. A marketing expert might share ways to improve social media, email campaigns, or brand visibility. A legal, HR, wellness, or operations-focused business can offer guidance that saves fellow members time, stress, and money. These are not sales pitches. They are educational sessions designed to create value, spark ideas, and strengthen connections across industries.

That member-to-member format is what makes the program special. When businesses teach one another, the Chamber becomes more than a networking organization. It becomes a place where expertise is shared, relationships deepen, and members leave with something they can actually use. Lunch & Learn creates room for thoughtful conversation, questions, and collaboration in a setting that feels supportive rather than formal. It also

gives host businesses a chance to showcase their knowledge and leadership in a meaningful way. Hosting a session is a great way to build credibility, introduce your business to new contacts, and be seen as a trusted resource in the community.

We would love to see more businesses step into that host role. Every member has knowledge worth sharing. You do not need a huge presentation or a complicated topic to make an impact. Some of the best sessions come from businesses that simply offer clear, helpful takeaways based on their day-to-day experience. Whether your expertise is hiring, customer service, bookkeeping, safety, technology, real estate, health, communication, or business planning, there is likely a topic that would benefit fellow Chamber members. By hosting a Lunch & Learn, you are not only promoting your business, you are helping strengthen the entire Chamber network.

Alongside Lunch & Learn, the Chamber also offers After Hours, which serves a different but equally important purpose. After Hours is casual networking. It gives members a relaxed space to connect, meet new people, and build relationships outside the workday. While Lunch & Learn is centered on education and shared expertise, After Hours is all about conversation and community.

If your business is interested in hosting an upcoming Lunch & Learn or After Hours, we encourage you to reach out. For After Hours hosting opportunities, please email Lacie at events@visitredmondoregon.com
