DAY 2 -‐ LIMA

Breakfast Pick up from your Miraflores or San Isidro hotel or home. During the morning you will receive a group excursion through Lima. Our excursion offers Lima’s best attractions in its three historical periods: pre-‐Hispanic, colonial and modern. ANCESTRAL LIMA: We start our tour with a panoramic view of the “Pucllana Pyramid” a magnificent ceremonial and archeological center built in the 4th century a.D. and considered a “Sacred Village” by the Incas. The Viceroyalty of Perú was the most important of the Spanish Empire and Lima was its capital. COLONIAL LIMA: We visit the Historical Center of Lima, where you will appreciate more than fifty monuments and Colonial edifications, such as the Paseo de la República, the San Martín Square, the Main Square, the Government Palace, the Archbishop’s Palace, the Cathedral Basilica, and the City Council Palace amongst others. We will visit the monumental SAN FRANCISCO CONVENT, which displays the largest collection of religious art in America. Our highlight will be the visit of the underground vaults, known as “Catacumbas” or Catacombs. Optional: Lunch & Larco Museum visit Return to your hotel.

DAY 3 -‐ LIMA / AREQUIPA

Breakfast. At a coordinated time, transfer to Lima airport. Flight to Arequipa (Not Included) Arrival to Arequipa, transfer to your hotel. Visit of the white city passing for Carmen Alto where they will be able to estimate the gully of the Rio Chili; district of Yanahuara, with beautiful narrow and old alleys, in the highest part there is its principal square and its famous church of 1750 of baroque front and to the side of the square Yanahuara's viewing-‐point with series of arches of ashlar where you will have an extraordinary sight of the city; Main Square where the Cathedral is located; Church of Jesús's Company, Cloisters of Jesús's Company constructed by the parents Jesuits in ashlar, stand out its decorated props, ornamental sinks, courts of stone and ashlar. DAY 4 -‐ AREQUIPA / COLCA (Full Board)

Breakfast at your hotel. Morning departure to Colca Valley, during all the way there will be admired beautiful landscapes, platforms and snow-‐capped mountains, the reservation of vicuñas. Arrive at Chivay at 13:00 hrs. Aprox. and they will continue up to the thermal baths of The Calera (waters thermos medicinal). Come back to Chivay and installation in its Hotel. Lunch included. Overnight at Selected Hotel.

DAY 5 -‐ COLCA / PUNO (Half Board)

Breakfast at your hotel. Morning departure to Mirador de La Cruz del condor, more strategic zone to estimate the Cannon of the Colca and the flight of the condors, after return for the same way you will estimate the hanging tombs preincas, litomaquetas, viewing-‐point of terraces and small villages as Pinchollo, Bruise, Yanque, stopping in every village 10 ó 20 minutes. Arrival to Chivay approximately to the 13.00 hrs. Finally, we will head to Puno. Overnight at Selected Hotel.

DAY 6 -‐ PUNO (Half Board)

Breakfast at your hotel. In the morning you will begin your full day visit to the Floating Island of Uros in Lake Titicaca. Located 4 km from Puno, the original inhabitants of these floating islands are said to descend from one of the most ancient peoples of the Americas and still to this day practise their ancient traditions. Their dwellings made of totora reed are built on the surface of Lake Titicaca. Afterwards, you will make your way to the unique Island of Taquile, where time appears to have stopped. The Mediterranean atmosphere of this place is striking, with its steps of stone and its houses centred around the square. Its indigenous community that lives here, around 350 families are descendants of the Incas and known for their Textile activities, such as their beautifully woven chumpis (belts), chullos (caps), and ojotas (and sandals) and according to the custom, officials are distinguished by black or brown caps. Taquile also offers a magnificent lake landscape from where the impressive snowfalls of the Cordillera Real (Real mountain chain) can be seen. In the afternoon you will return to the hotel. DAY 7 – PUNO / CUSCO (Half Board)

Breakfast. We will take at a coordinated time, our transfer to Cusco. We will stop on route at the Archaeological site Pukara (2000 AC-‐DC 300) and the Racchi Inka Temple. Lunch and then head to Andahuaylillas to visit its Chapel and appreciate the Colonial paintings decorating the walls and ceiling. Arrival to Cusco & transfer to your hotel.

DAY 8 -‐ CUSCO

Breakfast. Morning pick up from your hotel and city tour visiting the Main Square, known in Inca times as Huacaypata or “The Warriors Square”, this was the scene for many key events in Cuzco’s history. The Cathedral, built between 1560 and 1664 with large stones of red granite taken from the Inca Fortress of Sacsayhuaman, the Cathedral is one of the most imposing structures in the city. It also houses one of the most important collections of gold and silver work of the colonial period, elaborately engraved wooden altars and a beautiful collection of oil on canvas paintings from the Escuela Cusqueña. Koricancha and the Santo Domingo Convent. The Convent was built on the spectacular Koricancha (site of gold), the most important temple dedicated to the worship of the Sun and whose walls were plated with sheets of gold. As well as, the convent was built above a foundation of smoothened stone structures, the most finely crafted in Cusco, taken from the Inca Sanctuary. Then, we will continue to the nearby ruins: Kenko, where you will see its underground galleries and its semicircular amphitheater. Tambomachay complex of walls connected by stairways, having water springs which fed a well via channels in which apparently the Inca bathed, for it is believed that he also worshipped water. Puca Pucara; the red fortress that is located on a hill, possibly to defend Tambomachay and Sacsayhuaman Fortress, an imposing example of Inca military architecture, this fortress was built using large slabs of granite to safeguard the city from Antis attacks or invading forces from the east. Return to your hotel & free afternoon.

DAY 9 -‐ CUZCO / SACRED VALLEY (Full Board)

Breakfast. Early in the morning you will be picked up with your group for your Sacred Valley tour. You will visit the typical Pisac Market where you will have the opportunity to bargain with the vendors. Lunch is included at Sacred Valley Local Restaurant. After lunch, you will visit Ollantaytambo Fortress. A typical Inca community located at 21 Km. from Urubamba at 2,800 masl, named in honor of the chief Ollanta, who was famous for courting an Inca princes, daughter of Pachacutec. Transfer to Sacred Valley hotel.

DAY 10 – SACRED VALLEY / MACHU PICCHU (Full Board)

Breakfas Early in the morning, you will be transferred to Ollantaytambo train station to board the Expedition train to Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes a small bus will be waiting for you to take you to Machu Picchu ruins.

You will receive a Private tour of the ruins discovered in 1911 by the explorer Hiram Bingham, this citadel is considered to be one of the most extraordinary examples of landscapes architecture in the world. Located in an enclave on the saddle of a mountain overlooking the deep canyon of the Urubamba River, in an area of lush tropical forest, it served as a place of worship, a site for star-‐gazing and a private hacienda of the family of the Inca Pachacutec. It consists of two main areas one agricultural, formed mainly by mountains and food stores, and the other urban, which is noted for its sacred zone with its temples, squares and royal tombs. The stairways and canals carved out of stone are recurrent throughout this remarkable archaeological site. Lunch at Aguas Calientes restaurant. Return by bus to Aguas Calientes. Dinner at the hotel.

DAY 11 – MACHU PICCHU / CUSCO

Breakfast at your hotel. This day, you will have the chance to visit the ruins and watch the sunrise at the Sanctuary. You can also visit Huaynapicchu the prominent peak towering over the site, and the crown of Machu Picchu. This can be visited in 2 schedules only: 7:00am or 10:00am, please choose. Entrances and buses are not included.. In the afternoon, you will take Expedition Train to Ollanta. Transfer to your hotel in Cusco. Overnight at Selected Hotel.

DAY 12 – CUSCO / LIMA / ...
