Wittman Regional Airport is Oshkosh’s only airport and hosts the annual EAA AirVenture Fly-In. The Appleton International Airport is only 20 miles north of Oshkosh and serves four airlines (American, Delta, United and Allegiant).
Winnebago County Community Park Grab your furry friend and enjoy the open space and easy access of this dog-friendly, 270-acre park.

Spring Tulips Showcase May 2024 Spring awakens in the Paine gardens with the annual Tulips Showcase! Enjoy a stroll among thousands of tulips throughout four acres of gardens. At least 10,000 tulips are displayed in the Formal Garden, while many more tulips color the mansion façade and various outdoor “galleries” with budding trees and the sounds of spring’s renewal all around.
Festival of Spring Saturday, May 18, 2024 This free outdoor event features the Paine’s annual spring plant sale of thousands of perennials, along with more than 100 vendors of original art, fine crafts, plants, and garden supplies. Throughout the day, enjoy free admission to the Paine mansion and gardens, an art activity for kids, tasty food, and live entertainment.
Microsculpture: The Insect Portraits of Levon Biss June 15–October 13, 2024 British photographer Levon Biss’ images reveal an unexpected and breathtaking beauty that brings to life the many intricate adaptations of an insect’s form—what entomologists call their microsculpture. Displayed as large-scale photographic prints up to 9 feet high, examine extremely fine pigmented scales, velvet-like surface textures, saw-sharp mandibles, swirling patterns, and some of the most vibrant, iridescent colors seen in nature.
Faire on the Green July 14, 2024 Wander the largest art and craft fair of the summer in Oshkosh! More than 100 artists and craftspeople showcase their creations, from photography and jewelry to watercolors, pottery, and more. The free event includes a Corner Market with imported and retail items, as well as food trucks and live entertainment.
Nutcracker in the Castle Nov. 15, 2024–Jan. 12, 2025 The beloved Nutcracker fairytale returns with a mesmerizing array of sights, sounds, and surprises! At nearly 132,000 acres, Lake Winnebago is the largest lake within the state. Visitors have access to the lake from numerous public boat landings and a public beach. The lake is well-known for Walleye fishing and Sturgeon spearing.
Slow Roll Oshkosh is a fun, social and slow-paced bike ride through historic and beautiful areas of Oshkosh on the third Tuesday of every summer month (and beyond!) with a different starting point each month! Menominee Park Zoo + Amusement Area Located on the western shores of Lake Winnebago, this 100-acre park features an eight-acre zoo with 30-50 animals during the season, a Children’s Amusement Center, paved trails, playgrounds, athletic fields and restrooms.
Riverwalk + Wiouwash Trail The Riverwalk is a beautiful paved trail stretching for nearly two miles along both sides of the Fox River connecting Downtown Oshkosh to the Wiouwash Trail. Enjoy great views of the river and a variety of waterfront restaurants. Benches and parks along the Riverwalk offer relaxing picnic areas.
