WHAT HAPPENS AT THE FARRAGUT COMMUNITY CENTER? MEMBERSHIP The Farragut Community Center Membership is required for all participants of parks and rec programming and any renters of the Town of Farragut facilities. This is a FREE membership that lasts two years. Go to the front desk at the community center or follow the steps below to enroll in a membership. 1. Scan or click the QR code. 2. Make a Rec Desk login. 3. Go to the membership tab and enroll each family member for the membership.
PARKS AND REC PROGRAMS The Farragut Parks & Recreation Department endeavors to provide quality programming for all ages and abilities at the Farragut Community Center as well as outdoor activities at the Town's four largest parks. Go to townoffarragut.org/programs to view our current and future programs.
RENTALS
Rental space at the community center includes two classrooms, a middle schoolsized gymnasium with a stage and the Assembly Hall, an event venue that can seat 144 at tables or host 225 reception-style. Rentals of the Assembly Hall include a prefunction area and catering kitchen. Go to townoffarragut.org/communitycenter or call 865-218-3376 for more information.

McFee Dog Park Grand Opening TBD McFee Park Join us to celebrate the opening of the McFee Dog Park! Date, time and details will be shared on our website, farragutparksandrec.org, and on social media at Farragut Parks and Rec. Ghouls Just Want to Craft Friday, Oct. 23, 6:30-8 p.m. Ages 13 and up, $10 per participant Come have a scary good time creating trendy Halloween crafts while mingling and making new friends. This is the perfect evening get-together with the ghouls! Preregistration is required. Register for Ghouls Just Want to Craft. Freaky Friday Fright Nite Friday, Oct. 30, 5-7 p.m. Mayor Bob Leonard Park Walk our treat trail, if you dare! This familyfriendly event features booths of local businesses passing out candy to costumed children. Donations to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Knoxville will be accepted; a wish list is posted on farragutparksandrec.org. The Great Turkey Hunt Monday, Nov. 16-Saturday, Nov. 21 Farragut Parks and Ralph McGill Plaza Find turkeys and win a prize! Countdown to Light the Park Monday, Nov. 23, 5:30-7 p.m. Founders Park at Campbell Station Kick off the holiday season with the Town of Farragut at this beloved event! Free live entertainment and refreshments will be offered as we wait for Founders Park to be lit up with holiday cheer.

Youth Art Show Wednesday, Dec. 2, 6-8 p.m. Farragut Community Center Ages 6-12, free Family and friends are invited to come view the art projects of the Art Adventures and Afterschool Art classes. Aspiring artists interested in participating should attend Art Adventures or Afterschool Art to receive more information. Celebrate the Season Thursday, Dec. 3, 4:30-7 p.m. Farragut Community Center This Farragut family favorite will include photos with Santa, cookie decorating, crafts and light refreshments. Chess Tournament Saturday, Dec. 5, 8 a.m. Farragut Community Center Farragut Parks & Rec is partnering with the Tennessee Chess Association to host both an unrated and rated chess tournament. The unrated tournament is suitable for all skill levels and ages five and up; the rated tournament is for competitive players. Gingerbread House Competition Thursday, Dec. 10, 6-8 p.m. Farragut Community Center All ages, $10 per team (up to four participants), $5 per additional team member Join us for a sweet competition! Build a gingerbread house with your team and compete in our “People’s Choice” voting on social media. All supplies will be provided, but spaces are limited. Register for the Gingerbread House Competition. Holiday Ornament Craft Night Friday, Dec. 11, 6-8 p.m. Farragut Community Center Ages 16 and up, $8 per participant Join us for a night of holiday crafting! We will have a variety of trendy, holiday ornament projects available. Enjoy light refreshments while crafting and meeting new people; all skill levels are welcome. This event requires preregistration. Register for the Holiday Ornament Craft Night. ’Twas the Night with No Parents Friday, Dec. 18, 5-8 p.m. Farragut Community Center Ages 6 to 12, $10 per child Get your shopping done or take a few hours to relax while your children spend the evening at the community center! This event will feature food, games and crafts. Spaces are limited. Register for ‘Twas the Night with No Parents.

New Years at Noon Wednesday, Dec. 31, 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Farragut Community Center Join us for a New Year’s celebration at noon! Enjoy crafts, NYE snacks and photo ops while celebrating the new year at an easier time of day.
Beginner Machine Sewing 101 Wednesdays, Dec. 2,9,16, 6-7:30 p.m. Ages 16 and up, $20 for 3 classes Have you been interested in learning how to use a sewing machine, but don’t know where to start? No experience necessary and all supplies are provided. We will learn the basics of terminology and tools, machine use and stitching. Register for Beginner Machine Sewing 101 - Adult. Beginner Crochet 101 Mondays, Nov. 9, 16, 30, 6-7:30 p.m. Ages 16 and up, $15 for 3 classes Join this crochet class for beginners! No experience necessary and all supplies are provided. Let’s learn the basics of using tools and terminology, how to make stitches, and how to read patterns. We will create small pieces for you to take home and enjoy. Register for Beginner Crochet 101. Design a Wreath Wednesday, Oct. 28, 6-7 p.m. Ages 16 and up, $15 per person Want a unique and festive wreath for your front door? Design and create your own wreath at this program. Ballroom Dance Basics & Beyond Tuesdays, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Ages 18 and up, $10 per class This class will focus on basic figures, routines and movement. Everyone will get to dance, regardless of whether they have a partner or not. One to two dances will be introduced in each class, and we can learn them all together! Preregistration is required. Register for Ballroom Dance Basics & Beyond. Mahjong and Gaming Club Every other Tuesday, 3:30-5 p.m. Ages 9 and up, free Join us to learn new games! ADULTS & FAMILY Line Dancing Oct. 2, Nov. 6, Dec. 4, 6-9 p.m. Ages 8 and up, $5 per person Join us for an evening of line dancing! This is an instructor led program. We will use our projector to display the steps and instructions needed to learn. The goal is for community members to have fun dancing together in lines. Design a Doormat Wednesday, Nov. 11, 6-7 p.m. Ages 16 and up, $15 per person Design and paint a doormat for yourself or as a gift for someone else at this program. One 17”x18” coir doormat per registrant and all decorating supplies will be provided. Pre-registration is required. Register for Design a Doormat.

Family Basketball Thursdays, 4-6 p.m. All ages, $2 per person No need to pre-register – just bring a ball and get ready to play! Please arrive a few minutes early to check in and get your free community center membership. This session is specifically for youth and families to shoot around and play without the intensity of pickup open gyms. Jam Session Wednesdays, 1-3 p.m. Ages 12 and up, free In this free program, musicians and singers are invited to gather in a relaxed, circle-style setting. Instruments such as guitar and harmonica are welcome, and all skill levels are encouraged to participate in this collaborative and informal music-making experience. Jewelry Making Workshop Mondays, Nov. 9, 16, 30, 3:30-5 p.m. Ages 12 and up, $4 per person Get inspired and learn how to create earrings, necklaces, or bracelets with a variety of beads, chains, and wires. This program is for all skill levels, and all participants are welcome to come to multiple sessions. All supplies are provided, but feel free to bring your own. Preregistration is not required.
Volleyball Open Gym Mondays, 4-9 p.m. Cost: $4 per person Ages 14 and up Limited equipment is available for checkout and nets are provided. Please arrive a few minutes early to check in and get your free community center membership. To maximize community use, users may experience wait times. Open Gym Time Mondays, noon-4 p.m. All ages, $2 per person Open gym time is exactly what it sounds like; everyone is welcome to drop-in to the Community Center gym to an unstructured session of play. Limited equipment is available for checkout. Any equipment brought into the center must be approved by staff before using. Children must be supervised by adults.
Drop-in Dodgeball Tuesdays, 7-9 p.m. Ages 18 and up, $2 per player Drop-in Dodgeball provides adults the opportunity to make friends and get exercise by playing a weekly game of dodgeball. We will divide into two teams and play classic dodgeball. We look forward to playing with you!

Pickleball Open Gym Fridays, noon-3 p.m. Cost: $4 per person Ages 14 and up Grab a paddle and get ready to play! During this time, the gym is on the challenge court system. To maximize community use, users may experience wait times. Pickup Basketball Wednesdays, 6-9 p.m. Thursdays, 6:30-9 p.m. Cost: $4 per person Ages 14 and up No need to pre-register – just bring a ball and get ready to play! This session is specifically for individuals who want to play scrimmage-style, non-refereed games.

Art Adventures Tuesdays, August 18-November 17, 23:30 p.m. Ages 6 to 12, $4 per child Each week, our school-aged artists will create a new project with varying mediums. All skill levels are welcome! Preregistration is not required. Afterschool Art Wednesdays, August 19-November 18, 3:30-5 p.m. Ages 6 to 12, $4 per child Each week, our school-aged artists will create a new project with varying mediums. Beginner Ballet Level 1: Thursdays, 3-4 p.m. Ages 4-6, Level 2: Thursdays, 4-5 p.m. Ages 7-12 Cost: $30 per month Beginner Ballet teaches the fundamentals of ballet and focuses on grace, flexibility, teamwork and creativity. Please come to class with hair pulled back, tights, leotard, ballet shoes and a smile! Register for Beginner Ballet. 9
Elementary Homeschool PE Tuesdays, Aug 18-Dec 15, 3:304:30 p.m. Wednesdays, Aug 19-Dec 16, 12 p.m. Grades K-5 (ages 6 to 10), $2 per child This homeschool PE class will feature sports and group games that emphasize teamwork, good sportsmanship, physical activity and fun! Participants must be at least 6 years old to participate. Preregistration is not required. Middle School Homeschool PE Wednesdays, Aug 19-Dec 16, 2:30-3:30 p.m. Grades 6-8 (ages 11-14), $2 per child This homeschool PE class will emphasize organized sports, competition and physical activity, while still including plenty of group games, teamwork and fun! Preregistration is not required.
Fall Break Camp Oct. 5-9, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Ages 6 to 12, $75 per camper Join us for a week of camp at the community center! Each day, we will engage your camper in a variety of activities, from sports and games to crafts and movies. Space is limited. Please pack a lunch for your camper each day. Registration is required and opens Sept. 1; deadline is Oct. 1. Register for Fall Break Camp. Youth Free Play Wednesdays, 3:30-5:30 p.m. Ages 4 to 12, $2 per child Kids can play and stay active in this open gym! With plenty of space and fun activities, it’s the perfect way to burn energy and have a blast! Creative Writing Club Thursdays, Oct. 1-22, 5-6 p.m. Ages 8 to 13, $4 per child Learn about the process of creative writing and walk away with a completed story by the end of the series! Community Service Club Thursdays, Oct. 29-Nov. 19, 5-6 p.m. Ages 6 to 13, $4 per child We will do small community service projects, like food drive prep, card-making and more to teach participants the value of giving back. We will stay on community center property. Parents are not required to stay for this program; preregistration is required. Register for Community Service Club. Toddler and Me Yoga 18 months – 2 years: Wednesdays, Sept. 30-Oct. 21, 9:45 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. 3 – 4 years: Wednesdays, Sept. 30-Oct. 21, 11-11:45 a.m. Once class for $20 or four classes for $67 Welcome to a yoga class where we trade perfect form for pure fun! Every tiny yogi must bring their favorite adult along to stretch, breathe, and chase them across the room. We cannot promise absolute zen, but you and your toddler will bend, wobble, and burn off some energy together. Register for Toddler and Me Yoga: 18mos - 2 yrs Register for Toddler and Me Yoga: 3-4 yrs Baby and Me Yoga Wednesdays, Sept. 30-Oct. 21, 12:15-1 p.m. 6-weeks to crawling, $20 per class or four classes for $67 Join our gentle Baby and Me Yoga class led by a yoga teacher and a pelvic floor physical therapist. Rise and Shine Yoga Mondays and Fridays, 8:15-9:15 a.m. Ages 16 and up; $4 per session Rise and shine! Start your day off right with a morning yoga class led by registered yoga teacher Mindy Wise or Jenny Trussell! Bring a yoga mat, water and a positive attitude!

Sunrise Stretch Wednesdays, 8:15-9:15 a.m. Ages 16 and up; free Start your day off right with a sunrise yoga session! This 60-minute class is the perfect way to start the day for beginning to advanced yogis with registered yoga teacher Jenny Trussell. Bring a mat and a smile.
Total Fitness Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8:30-9:30 a.m. Ages 16 and up; $4 per session Join Rachel Piotrowski, certified group exercise instructor and personal trainer, for a total body fitness class! This class is tailored to individuals of all fitness levels and focuses on functional exercises to improve overall strength and balance. Don’t forget water, a mat and weights or resistance band.

MUSEUM Movies at the Museum Bluecross Healthy Place at Town Hall Friday, September 18 at 7:30 p.m. All ages; Free Join us for an outdoor movie event at the Farragut Museum! We will be showing "Herbie: Fully Loaded." Participants can enjoy a food truck onsite and a car display from the Knox Dubz VW club.
History Readers Campbell Station Inn Thursday, October 1 at 4 p.m. All ages; free History Readers is a quarterly book club of the Farragut Museum. Read any book you choose about the designated topic, America’s First Five Presidents, and come prepared to share your thoughts on the book.
History Hour
Farragut Town Hall All ages; free The History Hour is an ongoing, educational speaker series at the Farragut Museum. Tuesday, September 22 at 11 a.m. Dr. Chris Magra will speak on the military history of the Declaration of Independence and his new book, America’s First War. Wednesday, October 21 at 11 a.m. Kate Brewster presents "East Tennessee Ties to American Royalty, the Vanderbilts".

PARKS & GREENWAYS The Town of Farragut has five distinctive parks, as well as the Mayor Ralph McGill Plaza. The five parks include Anchor Park Founders Park at Campbell Station Mayor Bob Leonard Park McFee Park BlueCross Healthy Place at Town Hall
Farragut boasts over 25 segments of greenway trails, totaling over 20 miles, that connect neighborhoods and provide great places to ride a bike, walk, run and roller blade. Many of the links are connected by streetways.

There are ten pavilions across the four largest parks in Farragut. Some are located nearby restrooms, grills and playgrounds. Most pavilions include garbage cans, seating with tables, and electricity. Reserve a pavilion online at townoffarragut.org/register.
