TopGolf Knoxville

Topgolf Knoxville is a true entertainment destination. Enjoy climate-controlled hitting bays for year-round comfort. HDTVs can be found in every bay and throughout the sports bar and restaurant. Complimentary clubs are available, or you can bring your own. Select a game and then take aim at the giant outfield targets. The high-tech balls score themselves.

Topgolf is a sports entertainment complex that features an inclusive, high-tech golf game that everyone can enjoy. Paired with an outstanding food and beverage menu, exciting game options, and music, Topgolf has an energy you can feel when you walk through the door.

Pinnacle at Turkey Creek

The Pinnacle Turkey Creek is a leading open-air shopping destination serving East Tennessee and the surrounding region. Cotton Eyed Joe

Each week, thousands of people enjoy Cotton Eyed Joe’s 2,500 square foot dance floor. Cotton Eyed Joe is billed as the hottest night club in Knoxville and is known as one of the hottest clubs in the country.

In 2018, the club won the prestigious ACM Nightclub Of The Year. The club continues to bring customers great concerts, MMA fights, and line dancing lessons. The national anthem is played every night, followed by the club’s theme song, Cotton-Eyed Joe.

Cotton Eyed Joe offers a fabulous menu of food and drinks, and its décor is unique featuring a DJ booth that is an actual semitruck. Put your cowboy skills to the test by riding the famous mechanical bull! With its the landmark neon sign over I-40, the Cotton Eyed Joe is a can’t-miss attraction.

Sir Goony’s

Sir Goony’s has mini golf, paintball, sportsland, and go-karts. During the summer, Sir Goony’s hosts events and SplashZone on their recreational fields. Look for the famous orange Tyrannosaurus Rex.

Hi-Fi & Fly

Welcome crate diggers, firsttime collectors, and anyone who believes music sounds better on wax or when played from physical media. Born from a love of that analog sound you can only get from an LP and the thrill of discovery, this shop brings together a community of music lovers through carefully curated finds, friendly conversation, and a relaxed, welcoming vibe. Hi-Fi & Fly aims to be a local hub for collectors, creatives, and old souls - a place where people gather to explore, trade, and celebrate the art of music.

Farragut Golf & Games

Farragut Golf & Games boasts fun arcade games, a batting cage, and three mini golf courses.

Painting with a Twist

Painting with a Twist is a chance to sip, paint, and relax. Unleash your creative side in this carefree studio. It is a *BYOB* studio as participants paint with a trained artist in a group setting. At the end of the experience, artists will take home a custom work of art and an awesome memory.

Willow Creek Golf Club

Willow Creek is an 18-hole championship golf course dedicated to providing excellent playing conditions for the public golfer. The facility offers a professional experience and features public golf, tournaments, lessons, clinics, a pro shop and an upscale environment.

Farragut History Walk

Campbell Station Inn

Standing on the property acquired by Colonel David Campbell in 1787, formerly known as “Campbell’s Station”, the historic Campbell Station Inn is one of Farragut’s most significant landmarks, representing more than two centuries of local history. Once a stagecoach station, hospital and private residence, the Inn has been carefully restored by the Town of Farragut and now provides local information via the Tourism offices and houses program and rental space for small gatherings. Artwork from local artists are on display for purchase through the Tennessee Artists Association, and pieces are rotated quarterly. For more information call 865-427-6004. Hours of operation vary, so please call ahead before visiting.

Founders Park

Eleven signs located throughout the park provide insight into the people, places and events that make this area significant to our country’s history.

Farragut Museum

The Farragut Museum, which was founded in 1986, is the home of local community history and many artifacts that belonged to the first admiral of the US Navy, David Farragut, who is the town’s namesake. Featured exhibits are showcased quarterly. The museum is located on the first floor of the newly renovated Town Hall building at 11408 Municipal Center Drive and is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11am-2pm. Hours are subject to change.

Admiral Farragut Plaza

Dedicated in 2010, the plaza features a bronze statue of Admiral David Farragut, Civil War-era cannons on loan from the U.S. Naval Yard and historical markers with information about Farragut’s life.

Civil War Trails Historical Marker

Located on the grounds of Farragut Town Hall, a Civil War Trails marker commemorates the Battle of Campbell Station, which was fought on surrounding land on Nov. 16, 1863. Although opposing forces first confronted each other briefly at Loudon, it was just the start of the race to Knoxville. Under General Burnside, the Union troops arrived first with barely enough time to set up defenses on the high ground near the present day intersection of Concord Road and Kingston Pike. After six hours of heavy fighting, the Confederates failed to break through the Union defenses. Union troops, successful in their mission to delay the Confederates’ offensive, continued to Knoxville to join forces in the successful defense of the city.

Pleasant Forest Cemetery

This historic cemetery is one of the oldest in this part of the state. Many of the early pioneer settlers of this community – noble men and women who endured the trials and hardships of pioneer life – are buried within its grounds. Notable among those buried in Pleasant Forest are Archibald Roane, Second Governor of Tennessee; and Lieutenant Thomas Boyd, Revolutionary War veteran who was with George Washington at Valley Forge in 1777.

One of the premier sports complexes in the region, Mayor Bob Leonard Park is a 50acre multi-use facility offering athletic and recreational opportunities for a variety of activities. The wetland area at the center of the park, encircled by a lighted walk trail, is a unique feature. All facilities are lighted.

Blue Cross Healthy Place at Farragut Town Hall

11408 MUNICIPAL CENTER DRIVE

An inclusive, multi-generational play space that includes a ramped playground with freestanding play elements like an accessible merry-go-round, musical instruments, a swing area with inclusive swing seats, a community pavilion with picnic tables, a restroom, and a fitness station. This park closes at dusk.

11409 KINGSTON PIKE

Located behind the historic Campbell Station Inn, the 1.5-acre lighted plaza features a restroom, open areas, benches, interpretive signage, and parking. The outdoor space is available for rent.

Founders Park at Campbell Station

405 N. CAMPBELL STATION ROAD

This passive, 17-acre park is adjacent to the Farragut Branch of the Knox County Library.

Our Greenways

Farragut boasts over 25 segments of greenway trails, totaling approximately 20 miles, that connect neighborhoods and provide great places to ride a bike, walk, run, roller blade, etc. Public parking is available at the Town’s four longest trails. Many of the links are connected by streetways.

Grigsby Chapel

2.4 MILE ASPHALT TRAIL

Located on Grigsby Chapel Road, the trail connects several neighborhoods. An additional 0.25-mile segment, located behind Farragut Primary School, connects the trail at the corner of Grigsby Chapel Road to Founders Park. Parking is available at the Town’s commuter lot located at 11700 Campbell Lakes Drive (off Campbell Station Road) or Founders Park. This greenway is connected by neighborhood streets and a sidewalk to an additional 0.9-mile greenway along Everett Road.

McFee

1.5 MILE ASPHALT TRAIL

Additional Segment in Cottages at Pryse Farm Subdivision

Located along McFee Road, the trail connects several subdivisions with McFee Park. Parking is available at McFee Park.

Parkside

2 MILE ASPHALT TRAIL

Located along Parkside Drive, the greenway runs parallel to Interstate 40/75 from Lovell Road to the sidewalk on the northwest portion of Parkside Drive. Parking is available at designated spaces in the parking lot of At Home on Parkside Drive.

Turkey Creek

1.6 MILE ASPHALT TRAIL with an additional 0.3 mile spur

Located on Turkey Creek Road, the trail connects several subdivisions with Anchor Park. Parking is available at Anchor Park.

Our Community Center

The community center offers space for programming and rentals, including two classrooms and a middle school-sized gymnasium. The community center also features a beautiful Assembly Hall, an event venue that can seat 144 people at tables with a pre-function area and catering kitchen.

The community center hosts communitywide special events such as the Shamrock Ball, art shows, and Celebrate the Season. Along with basketball, volleyball, and pickleball, programs and classes at the community center include Total Fitness, yoga, Toddler Takeover, Homeschool PE, and art classes for all ages. New programs and events are added quarterly and are available to both residents and visitors.

The building also houses the West Knox County Senior Center on the lower level.

Step Into the Story

A Historic Getaway in Farragut

History buffs, this one is for you. Farragut’s past isn’t tucked away in textbooks. It’s woven into storefronts, preserved in landmarks, and shared over lunch.

Begin your day at the beloved The Apple Cake Tea Room, one of Farragut’s oldest businesses, operating even before the Town was officially incorporated. Order a cup of their signature Friendship Tea and one of their famous apple cake slices for a sweet start steeped in tradition. The charm feels timeless, and the stories are just getting started.

From there, head to the Farragut Museum. Plan to spend at least 45 minutes exploring exhibits that highlight Admiral David Farragut, the Civil War era, and the everyday lives of early settlers who shaped the region. The museum provides context for the landmarks you’ll see throughout town and brings local history to life in an approachable way. Next, travel back in time to the Campbell Station Inn. Built in 1832, the Inn began as a stagecoach stop and later served as a hospital during the Civil War before becoming a private residence. Today, it welcomes visitors as Farragut’s official welcome center and an intimate event space. Staff offer brief guided tours before inviting guests to explore the restored rooms at their own pace. If you need a mid-day pick-me-up, Summer Moon Coffee is just steps away.

Round out your historic tour with a visit to the Admiral Farragut memorial site and explore other preserved landmarks throughout town. And for those interested in Tennessee’s music legacy, spend an evening at Cotton Eyed Joe. This iconic venue has hosted early performances from now-household country artists like Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan, and Chris Young before they hit the national stage.

Who is David Farragut?

David Glasglow Farragut (1801 – 1870), born near the Town of Farragut, had one of the most extraordinary childhoods possible. He became a midshipman in the United States Navy at age nine. At 11, he was capturing pirates in the Caribbean and traveling around the world in the War of 1812. He served in the Mexican-American War, and he rose to the rank of captain at the outbreak of the Civil War. He commanded two of the most brilliant naval battles of the war: the Battle of New Orleans and the Battle of Mobile Bay. Farragut’s great contributions won him the rank of admiral, the first in US Naval history.

During the Battle of Mobile Bay, Union forces’ strategy was a blockade of military and other supplies. Farragut led the blockade and secured himself to the rigging. He managed the whole fleet from the top of a mast. When he heard the warning cry, “Torpedoes ahead!” Farragut’s response was historic:

Damn the torpedoes! Full speed ahead!

The Founding of Farragut

The Town of Farragut and the City of Knoxville are the two municipalities located in Knox County, Tennessee. Farragut is located just 16 miles west of downtown Knoxville.

This area of East Tennessee, now known as Farragut, was originally part of Campbell’s Station, a fort and stagecoach station built in the late 1700s.

The nearby community of Concord, located along the Tennessee River, became a bustling commercial site when the railroad arrived in the mid 1800s. In the 1880s, Concord became the center of a large Tennessee marble production industry and was eventually the second largest community in Knox County. But it never incorporated, and the decline of the marble industry and the loss of land due to the creation of Fort Loudoun Lake significantly reduced its population. By the 1970s, new subdivisions and businesses were being built along Kingston Pike in the southwest corner of the county, closer to the interstate than Concord.

Prior to becoming a municipality, Farragut residents were governed by Knox County. Residents were frustrated with flooding, poor road conditions, and lack of development standards. In 1978, a small group of residents formed the Farragut Community Group and focused on creating a town government with deliberate planning, oversight of zoning and development, road construction, stormwater systems, and public facilities. The Farragut Community Group petitioned Knox County for a referendum vote in Fall 1979 and received a landslide victory. The Town was officially incorporated on January 16, 1980 and the first Board of Mayor and Alderman was elected on April 1, 1980. To this day, the Town of Farragut remains true to its founding values and thrives without a municipal property tax.
