Visit Derry is responsible for marketing the city and region as an attractive leisure, golf and business destination. To support long-term tourism growth for the city region, we promote partner businesses to drive visitor footfall and encourage visitors to stay longer and spend more. Tourism is a key driver for economic growth, resulting in 271k overnight visitors and 833k bed nights, generating a visitor spend of £64m, and supporting 5,406 jobs across the city and region (NISRA,2023). Visitors from home and overseas choose our destination and enjoy a truly unique tourism experience. We actively work with our partners and over 220 tourism businesses to promote the city and region as a destination of choice and, in doing so, generate vital revenue for the local economy.
