Barbados Sailing Week
"The Caribbean race season’s opening regatta is now to be known as Round Barbados Sailing Week, which replaces its former title, the Mount Gay Round Barbados Series. Organised by Barbados Cruising Club in association with Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc., and Mount Gay, Round Barbados Sailing Week 2024 on January 13-24 is expected to once again attract top class competition. The headlining 60nm Mount Gay Round Barbados Race gives crews a chance to win their skipper’s weight in rum if any of the 20 records are broken. For skippers this race is a dream come true with its golden opportunity and excuse to indulge during the forthcoming festive season for some serious fattening up!This all-comers sprint around the island of Barbados traditionally takes place on Errol Barrow Day – a public holiday to celebrate the birthday of the first Prime Minister of Barbados and ‘Father of independence’. Given the day’s significant status, the party vibe throughout the island is legendary with crowds of locals and visitors annually flocking to the best vantage points to watch the race as it unfolds down the rugged.

Holetown Festival
The Holetown Festival takes place in Holetown, Barbados, and celebrates the arrival of the first settlers in Holetown on February 17, 1627. The week-long celebration occurs every year during mid-February and includes a number of activities which showcase the culture and traditions of Barbados. Events include folk singing and dancing, sports and games, street parades, markets, and food stalls that offer traditional Barbadian cuisine

This is Barbados Agricultural Society's annual Exhibition. Farmers, craft persons and processors of agricultural products are among the many exhibitors each year. Last year there were approximately 60,000 visitors over the three day show and over 250 exhibits running daily.
The National Agricultural Exhibition of Barbados promises to be one exciting weekend of fantastic products on sale and on display, keenly contested competitions between farmers, entertainment, demonstrations and so much more! Sandy Lane Gold Cup
The Sandy Lane Gold Cup is one of the most prestigious events in the Eastern Caribbean horse racing calendar and, indeed, the biggest sporting events on the island. Attracting visitors from all over the world, for many years both local and regional jockeys have competed here, including some top international jockeys and trainers, with thoroughbred horses the UK and North America - some owned by the world’s leading investors in thoroughbred racing - featured. The big race is run over a turf course at 1,800 metres (8.95 furlongs) and is open to horses aged three and over. Garrison Savannah is a fitting setting for such as event, having been the home of horse racing in Barbados since 1845, and is conveniently located close to the island's capital, Bridgetown.

The World Surf Leage (WSL) qualifying world tour is a combination of events which takes place at various locations worldwide. Barbados is one of the designated stops on the circuit and comfortably holds its own as the host of one of the largest international surfing events in the Caribbean. The RBC is the premier bodybuilding event in the English-speaking region of the CACFBC. This event is in its 3rd year. This year the event is being launched at the Annual Congress of the International Federation of Body Build and Fitness and their World Championships in Santa Susana, Spain – October 31 -Nov 4, 2023. The RBC Elite Pro Ambassadors are world class athlete Kimberley Percival (Antigua) & Eddie Wilson (Suriname/Netherland)
The RBC attracts athletes from Latin America and the Caribbean and has seen 193 athletes, Coaches and delegates in 2022 and 151 in 2023 showing growth in the event. 2024 is set to be bigger and better as more international competitions will be included.

Sir Garfield Sobers International School’s Cricket Tournament
Named after the Barbadian cricketer and National Hero Sir Garry Sobers, this annual tournament attracts school teams under nineteen years of age to compete with their local, regional and international counterparts. The tournament is based on 40-over matches.
Since the year 1986 the Sir Garfield Sobers International Schools Cricket Tournament has given school boys the rare opportunity of playing in an international tournament. To date this tournament that has groomed the likes of retired West Indies captain, Brian Lara, Darren Ganga, Roland Holder, and several English and South African test match players.

Crop Over Festival
This summer Barbados invites travelers to live like a local and experience the island's lively Crop Over Festival, celebrating a 200 year-old tradition that honors the end of the sugar cane season. The festival celebrates all that is Bajan with dusk till dawn parties, arts and crafts markets and a culinary-driven street fares.
Grand Kadooment Day celebrates the end of Crop Over, where Masquerade Bands make their way to Spring Garden highway with revelers dressed in sequin costumes decorated with colorful feathers, jewels and bright accents; dancing behind music trucks and moving bars. The finale of Crop Over's events makes this the island's most exciting day of the year. As you will hear Bajans say: "Crop Over it sweet fuh days!"

One Movement Invitational Skateboarding Contest
The OMISC is a three-day festival which includes daily free skateboard clinics for children. It features professional skateboarders, the best skateboard contest in the region along with entertainment by local musicians and artists.

Tour De Bim
This is a cycling event which takes riders across Barbados via 3 circuits during 3 consecutive days of riding. Circuit 1 is in Warrens while Circuit 2 is at Bushy Park. Circuit 3 runs end to end of the island.
Barbados National Triathlon
We would like to invite Triathletes from all over the world to come to Barbados to participate in our 30th National Barbados Triathlon. Our triathlons are designed to cater to all levels. They suit both the recreational to the more dedicated triathletes, individuals and teams, as well as newcomers and fun-sun seekers who want to have a great time in Barbados.
