The Leavenworth Chamber is proud to present our 5th Annual Oktoberfest in Leavenworth. This event not only celebrates our community and our admiration of Bavarian culture, but it is also our nonprofit's biggest fundraiser, supporting so many of our programs. Oktoberfest Venue Currency Festival goers can pick up an RFID smartcard fabric wristband upon entry, link it to their debit or credit card, and then scan and pay for food, beer and at the official merchandise booths at both festival venues. Attendees will also have the choice of paying via credit/ debit or mobile pay, or use cash to pre-load a wristband.

Beer Menu Old & New Traditions
Oktoberfest can be traced back to 1810 in Munich when the future King Ludwig invited the entire city to attend his wedding celebration and an annual event was born. By 1896, small beer stands on the festival grounds were replaced with large brewery sponsored beer tents. Today, only the original 6 breweries in Munich are served during their Oktoberfest. To honor that Bavarian tradition, we have some of those six on tap paired with beers from our own local breweries, who in celebration of Oktoberfest, collaborate annually on Leavenworth’s own Oktoberfest Festbier!
LOCAL BREWS Leavenworth Festbier – Icicle, Blewett, and Doghaus Collaboration
In true Oktoberfest spirit, Icicle Brewing Company, Blewett Brewing Company, and Doghaus Brewery have teamed up to offer a local collaboration Festbier. This quintessential Oktoberfest style is a light to medium-bodied pale lager that is malty and biscuity with low bitterness. (5.9% ABV / 24 IBU)
Simple Kölsch German Ale – Blewett Brewing Co, Leavenworth, WA
A subtle pale beer, with a delicate balance of malt and hops, makes this beer an easy drinker and a great palate cleanser! PROST! (5.2% ABV / 15 IBU)
Alpenhaze Hazy IPA - Icicle Brewing Co, Leavenworth, WA
This signature hazy is a bright, tropical and juicy IPA with Mosaic, Citra, El Dorado and Simcoe hops, giving it notes of mango, pineapple, tangerine and apricot that excite the nose and palate. The malt profile provides a body that ends each sip with a light and pillowy mouthfeel. (6.3% ABV / 30 IBU)
Premium Pilsner – Icicle Brewing Co, Leavenworth, WA
Born from the crystal-clear waters of the Icicle River, this carefully crafted pilsner is perfect for any occasion. Crisp, clean and endlessly refreshing, Premium Pilsner is well-balanced with a light hop character. It’s subtle, yet refined, with lightly floral aromas, smooth mouthfeel, and satisfying finish. Brewed with Noble hops in the international style, this is an easy-drinking beer that’s as fresh as the waters from which it was born. (4.9% ABU/ 20 IBU)
Doberman Schwarzbier (Dark Beer) – Doghaus Brewery, Leavenworth, WA
Schwarzbier translates from German to “black beer”. A smooth dark lager with more roast character than a Dunkel, but much milder than a Porter or Stout. Much like a Doberman, Schwarzbier is dark in color, but light and elegant. Intimidating to strangers, but pleasant once you’ve gotten to know it. Koda says, “Dobies are a delight and so is this brew!” (5.4% ABV, 21 IBU) **Beer may be purchased in our recycled aluminum cups and poured into your purchased stein per health codes, we cannot fill steins at the taps.

An amber beer style that was developed over 200 years ago to celebrate the original Oktoberfest. The Märzen name comes from “March beer” because it was historically brewed in March to be at peak flavor for the Oktoberfest celebration. (5.8% ABV)
Number 1 rated hefeweizen in the world from the oldest brewery in the world! Fruity nuances of banana and cloves intermingle with malt flavors to create a balanced beer with a light, creamy character. This premium, naturally cloudy, pale amber wheat beer is truly a feast for the senses. (5.4% ABV, 14 IBU)

This beer is credited for being one of the most popular Munich lagers. Moreover, Paulaner brew masters were among the first to bring Munich lager beer to the Bavarian taps. The recipe for success remains: A perfect balance of malty character and the light bitterness of hops. (4.9% ABV)

German-styled Marzen medium-bodied beer with roasted malt flavor and a slightly dry finish. (5.9% ABV, 23 IBU)

A deep golden color tinted with amber, this beer is lightly sweet with a malty nose balanced with floral hops. The soft dryness comes from long maturation. (5.8% ABV / 21 IBU)

With its own, specialized brewing technique, the pioneer still creates its signature non-alcoholic lager, Clausthaler Original, in strict accordance with the German purity law since 1979. One of the country’s premier polka-variety bands, West Coast Prost is led by accordionist and singer Jason Fabus. Much more than your average polka band, the group also plays waltzes, dixieland, swing, and country/western favorites — bringing an exciting sense of youth to an older tradition of music. A Leavenworth Oktoberfest regular, West Coast Prost returns for 2026 across the first two festival weekends.

Hear the deep call of the alphorn — a 12-foot horn once used by Alpine herdsmen to send signals across mountain valleys. The Leavenworth Alphorns bring that centuries-old tradition to the streets each Saturday of the festival.
For well over a decade, European Take-Out has brought classic polka and Oktoberfest favorites to festivals and parties across Oregon and Washington, drawing on 75 years of music to keep the dance floor moving.

The Tirolean Dancers started in 1976 as a traditional Bavarian and Austrian Schuhplattler and Volkstanz dance performance group. Nearly five decades later, the troupe continues performing with newer generations of dancers, bringing authentic Alpine partner dance to Oktoberfests, Maifests, and cultural festivals across the Pacific Northwest. They take the Front Street plaza for Leavenworth’s Saturday, October 10, twirling through traditional dirndls and lederhosen in a lively partner-dance tradition passed down for generations.

Enzian Schuhplattler, based out of Seattle, is dedicated to promoting Bavarian folk dancing, culture, and costumes. Schuhplattler — literally “shoe slapping” — is one of the oldest and most recognizable Alpine folk dance traditions, marked by rhythmic thigh and boot slapping paired with spirited partner dancing. Enzian brings that tradition to the Festhalle dance floor in full traditional dress, performing on weekend one and weekend three.

Edelweiss Dance Academie is Leavenworth’s own ballet school. Under the direction of Briar Hoper, the school has been operating in town since 1997 — and is known locally for its annual staging of The Nutcracker. For Oktoberfest, dancers from the academy’s summer intensive program perform a character class of Peasant Dances set to German music, bringing the next generation of Leavenworth performers to the festival stage.

Kinderplatz Entrance into the Kinderplatz area is free with festival entry ticket. Inside little festival goers will find a host of activities and games as well as their own Root Beer Garden! Stein Holding Competition - See how long you can hold a full 1-liter stein! Ladies', Men's, and 55+ age brackets. To compete, register in person at each competition location at least 1 hour before that event. Daytime competitions are all qualifying rounds for the evening All-Star Showdown. See pages 12-13 or Leavenworth.org/today for times. The first weekend's competition is an official US Steinholding Association Competiton.

Mustache Showdown - The crowd helps pick the best-groomed mustache, contestants picked from volunteers in the crowd.

Costume Contests - Solo/Duo category and group category. Can be any costume.

Pretzel Toss - In teams of two you toss your pretzels onto the plunger that your partner is holding to their forehead. Fastest to finish wins.
All winners receive prizes and adulation! Each weekend we will post the winners of the Stein Holding Competitions and the winning times at Leavenworth.org. At the end of all Oktoberfest weekends, we will crown the Grand Champion! All winners will be posted at Leavenworth.Org/ Oktoberfest.
Festzug On each Saturday of Oktoberfest we open the festival with a Festzug march down Front Street to the Festhalle. Locals and visitors dress in their Bavarian best and join our Alphorn players and other performers to mark the official opening of the Oktoberfest celebrations for the day. If you will be wearing Trachten and want to join the march, meet at Gustavs by 11:30 am on the Saturdays of Oktoberfest We follow with keg tapping at 2pm in the Gazebo at Front Street Park.
