La prima edizione di Greenitaly, si è chiusa con un successo di partecipazione e interessanti ispirazioni. Tra queste l’installazione progettata dall’architetto Matteo Fraschini e rst edition of Greenitaly closed with a strong turnout and compelling insights, among them an installation by architect Matteo Fraschini
Nonostante la densità di opere, gli spazi appaiono leggeri ed estremamente fruibili, tutti da vivere. Questo grazie al sapiente allestimento , abbinamenti e alla scelta dell’architetto di inondare gli ambienti di luce, grazie alle grandi vetrate che si affacciano sul giardino. Il bianco scelto per le pareti, oltre a riverberare la luce e ad amplificare la luminosità degli spazi, diventa anche lo sfondo ideale per valorizzare l’esuberanza cromatica e le forme originali degli elementi d’arredo, delle opere d’arte e dei complementi. Altro elemento costante nel progetto di interior design è il pavimento, anch’esso legato a una ‘storia di design’; “è stato realizzato in palissandro perché mio padre aveva conservato degli scarti di lavorazione dei primi mobili di Ettore Sottsass per Poltronova: li ho ritrovati in un capannone in cui mio padre li aveva conservati, li ho fatti lavorare e con quel legno ho realizzato il pavimento di casa, il grande tavolo da esterno e altri arredi, come il mobile del bagno”. Tutti questi capolavori non trasformano la casa in un museo di design, ma in un ‘museo dei sentimenti’, caldo e vissuto. Una casa ricca di memorie, che non vengono esibite ma che raccontano, con affetto e naturalezza, la vita della proprietaria e della sua famiglia. l

In basso, la zona pranzo, arredata con tavolo Trousdale di Michael Berman, accompagnato dalle sedie Clivedon di Ralph Lauren, rivestite in pelle marrone e dalla panca realizzata su misura da un tappezziere locale. At the top of this page and on the left-hand page, the spacious, light-flled kitchen features a Waterworks chandelier, no longer in production, and black leather counter stools by Altura Furniture. and seasonality without ever disrupting the garden’s harmony. Beside one side of the villa, a bioclimatic pergola shapes a space for rest and gathering. It is not an isolated episode, but a hinge: offering shade and shelter in the heat of summer, becoming a privileged viewpoint over the garden when the light falls and colours warm. Here the design intention becomes clear: the garden is meant to be inhabited before it is observed. Seasonality is integral to its conception. For Kristian Buziol change has real value: “a garden should never remain the same.” As daylight hours shorten and temperatures fall, his planting design becomes more legible, because the colour of flowers yields the scene to foliage, just as in the landscape surrounding the property. This is the moment when structure, rhythm and the differences in form and texture become most evident. The canopies guide the eye as their colours shift from red to bronze, from warm yellow to deep purple, calling to one another across the space. The planting palette is designed to shape the sense of distance. The alternation of evergreen and deciduous species, together with the measured repetition of elements, defines a landscape that never loses meaning. When winter reduces the volumes, the evergreen masses continue to define the composition, and the measured play of repetition and return keeps the design firmly in place. The garden does not fade; it simply reorganises itself into a more essential clarity. The result is a garden that welcomes those who inhabit it and gives form to the passing of time. Here, the lesson attributed to Russell Page holds true: a garden succeeds when it interprets its place better than it describes it. That sentiment is clearly felt, and in this ongoing dialogue between garden and landscape Buziol’s distinctive signature becomes clear. ■
