The summer season in Westman is packed with places to go, things to do and sights to see - camping, fishing, swimming, golf, water sports not to mention country fairs and shows. Located within the RM of Sifton, Oak Lake Beach and Resort with a marina, sandy beach, kids play structures, and golf course is a one stop summer destination in the area. Oak Island Golf Course is a premier 18-hole course amid oak trees, located near the Oak Lake Beach and Provincial Park. The town of Oak Lake
is just 10 minutes to the east, boasting a museum, antiques shopping, necessities and the Oak Lake Golf. Also in the RM of Sifton, just off of the TransCanada between Oak Lake and Virden, you’ll find prime camping in Aspen Grove. There’s a pool, and a cozy campground in the sand hills. For a morning or evening fishing expedition in the RM of Wallace-Woodworth, cast a rod into the lazy Assiniboine River in Virden Valley or visit Eternal Springs for a chance to make a catch. Kenton village affording fishing, camping and a playground. Salt Lake, south of Lenore and east off of Rd 259, is a pretty and clean little lake for boating, swimming, or picknicing. The RM of Pipestone features Reston Lake, a unique man-made pond within the town. Reston Campground is located at the Reston Golf Course and has 18 fully serviced sites. Reston golf course boasts a new clubhouse. Pipestone Recreational Camp Ground is located a 1/2 mile off of Highway #2, south of Turnbull’s Sales and Service Ltd. The campground provides water, washroom facilities and electrical outlets. Sinclair Campground is about 10 minutes west of Reston. The well-treed sixsite fully serviced campground is located at the Lion’s Park in Sinclair. Elkhorn is a unique town, as visitors will see. The Manitoba Antique Automobile Museum located along the Trans Canada at Elkhorn is a Prairie treasure. The beginnings of an historic town is included in the complex of museum buildings. Elkhorn Campground is at 202 Cavendish St., on the west side of the village. Within town, Elkhorn spray park and playground compliment the shopping and food services available within Elkhorn. At Virden, in the heart Westman on the TrasCanada, you can set up a home away from home in the well-treed Virden Lions Campground to take in the attractions there. Virden has a large swimming
