AGAIN Note the dates above. We do not have anything organised for January but if anyone feels like organising an impromptu picnic because the weather is amazing – feel free. Let us know and we’ll get an email/phone call out. Club Captain Colin was absolutely delighted with the turnout to Reefton last month. We had 63 come along to lunch at the RSA. Before that we visited a most interesting property in the town for a garage raid and then were welcomed at the new Distillery, plus a wee sample of the goods. Nigel and Steffan McKay gave us a run down on the very new history of the venture. We wish them well. We have our Christmas lunch this Sunday (16th) at the Union Hotel. Gather from 11.45am for a natter, please bring along a small gift each up to the value of $10 for Santa’s sack. As in the past, keep it simple. Colin’s email is out and if you have missed your contact ringer, please ring him at the number above. Note that the correct numbers attending are very important for catering purposes. We welcome Iris Lawrence as a new member to the Branch. Sadly Norm passed away earlier this year and Iris has come on board as a member in her own right. We look forward to having you along with us Iris.

Please note that this will be the last Branch newsletter you will receive if you are still unfinancial when February comes around. National President Diane Quarrie on behalf of the Management Committee and National Office sends Seasons Greetings and Best Wishes to all members as well as a safe motoring New Year.

You can go online to www.vcc.org.nz to read the current Branch magazines. On the home page you will see News from the Branches on the left. SERVICE BADGES – To those members who are nearing 25, 35 or 50 years membership, please contact Membership officer David Campbell. You are entitled to a service badge for your continued membership. Check out the date you joined the Vintage Car Club.
NAME BADGES – Also, please contact David Campbell if you would like a name badge. The Branch supplies your first one.
VIC FORMS - A reminder to all members who have VIC cards that are due to expire, you will receive a personalised RENEWAL FORM from the National Office at least three months before the due date. You cannot download a form off the internet. They are personalised for each individual vehicle. Please fill in and hand to Branch Secretary.
VERO INSURANCE - If you take your Insurance out with VERO they will then pay the Branch a small Commission which helps with Branch finances. Please note that when applying for Insurance cover with VERO you must quote the Branch number which is 36 plus your membership number. Also you are reminded that this scheme is set up for financial members only.
