A big thanks to Steve Cutler for all the work he put into the 3 passes run due to the weather we had to postpone until later in the year (oct or Nov) Hopefully some thing to look forward to. Finally I would like to think one of our club members would like to take over the chairman’s position. Inject some new ideas and give me a break thanks Something I read not long ago and thought you would like I wish I was a glow worm, a glow worms never glum cos how can you be grumpy when the sun shines out of your bum. It was unfortunate that the three passes run had to be postponed due to uncertain weather conditions, made worse as the day was just perfect. There was also the health and safety factor to consider. With no backup vehicle to tow or rescue any breakdown it was not a good call to continue. However we will definitely run this later in the year if possible. Those who went to the Anzac in Action had a great time. Run over Saturday and Sunday the mind boggles to think of what went into organising the event. Congratulations must go to the organising committee. Don’t forget the AGM on the 17th of the month. This is your chance to put your money where your mouth is! Look forward to seeing you all there. Drive safe Suzanne.

Matters Arising;- Gibson’s trailer in storage, Forklift in parts shed, donated by Owen & Lorraine Richardson. Correspondence[- Usual emails re newsletters, a/cs from chairman for lightbulbs & fuel, donation from Waimate dance club, An email from a Jack Jones, re a on sale site, meeting asked for it to be put in next Newsletter. Treasurers Report;- As per attachment Reports;- Chairman gave a lengthy report on the ½ yearly meeting. Abbreviated report attached Club Captain;- Chairman gave report as Suzanne is hospital following knee surgery. 3 pass & 2 gorge run postponed till November owing to adverse weather. Special thanks to Steve Cutler for organising the run. The club also thanked those who took cars to Main School to show them to children & answer questions about them, most appreciated by the children. Club rooms;- Barry reported that every thing OK. Parts;- Keith said it was a quiet month, scrap collection still a problem. General;- Don’t think RSA want any cars to ferry members to Forks on Anzac day. Rangitata Island vintage weekend on the weekend prior to Anzac. AGM next month, nomination forms out now. Discussed fund raiser for club, John Dawson said a film night & an0ther couple of things that he had suggested to Club Captain, Robert Todd said that to show a film at the Regent it would have to be a film supplied by theatre group. Lyndsay Hossack said that the town is hoping to run an event to commemorate the death of Dr Margaret Cruikshank 100 years ago, & thought it would be appropriate for the older of the cars to be in attendance at it. Robert Todd also thought that the Club should give some thought to the Club doing the road from Benmore to Haldon. Meeting closed 8.20pm
