IMPORTANT CLUBNIGHT AGENDAS TO NOTE
At February Club Night on the 9th there will be a Shiny Parts Auction

Please bring along any items that you would like to donate to this fundraiser and make it a great fun night.
Also remember when you buy, cash is king.
March Club Night 2026
Members will have no doubt noticed the branch promotional logo that is being trialled on the Online Website, together with the Buz and Klaxon publications.
Along with other branch committees, the consensus is that there is a need to change the perception amongst the public and ultimately future prospective members, that only vintage vehicles are accepted, when, as we are all aware, vehicles 30 years and older are welcomed.
The proposed logo has been developed as being of ease to locate on the website and coincides with an increasing number of search ‘hits’ in Google and other ‘search engines’ on the word ’classic’
It must be noted that the ‘online promotional logo’ in no way changes the legal name of the Vintage Car Club Inc. which is used on all official documentation.
The March club night will be an opportunity for you, the members, to bring along your ideas of an online marketing name that can be used to promote our club and we anticipate a show of hands to resolve a name acceptable to the majority of members present.

Article on Fault Finding
Kindly submitted by Patron Alastair Jones
Many thanks for your article Alastair and Gwen. Just goes to show, no matter how familiar we get with our “heritage” vehicles, they will still have a “surprise” in store.
There are several different types of Lucas dizzys used by BMC(BL) all looking almost identical but requiring different parts, a trap for the unwary. Ed.
ASSORTMENT
EDS. RAMBLINGS
At the January committee meeting we were discussing the wonderful contribution that Elwyn & Pauline Pirie make to our club night catering and I can say that they put on a fantastic supper.
This cannot be done without, however, the support of kitchen help and therefore ask for volunteers to come forward to assist, male or female.
If you are up for this, please make yourselves known to Elwyn.
For those that have Birthdays on the month of the club night, then it will be appreciated if you could supply a “plate” for supper.
Speaking of food, then those of us that have been ‘hanging out’ for Nog n Natter will be pleased to see that this month will be the start of these popular events, beginning 6pm on 17th at The Rain Bar. situated off Fashion Island. Papamoa. Contact Lynn 0273106451 early for booking. March Nog n Natter will be at The Citizens Club. Tauranga. Contact Elwyn Pirie.
Come along and enjoy a great meal and chatter with like minded people.
In spite of the weather events that have knocked a few gatherings on the head, I am sure that the coming months will see us back on the road, in good weather, enjoying club activities and get togethers.
If you have any suggestions, would like to be the organiser of any of the monthly runs or indeed a special club night event, then please contact any committee member, full assistance will be given.
The club library has many books relating to the upkeep of our vehicles and I urge you to make use of this facility. The library is accessible on club nights and usually Café Cliff Monday morning coffee get togethers. Likewise, the parts shed is generally available at these times. Please donate any parts you no longer use.
See you all at club night
And finally, a message from the dog
