Tuapeka Vintage Club – Heritage Day

Gordon Duthie reports another good day is planned with much happening in Lawrence. There will be demonstrations, hot food, vehicle display and sales stalls happening. Come along for a great day out. Taieri Tour – 3rd November 2018
October 2018 With sadness we report the passing of Robert (Bunny) Andrews. Bunny was very supportive of the Club over his years as a member, always there to give a hand when needed and enjoying everyone’s company. Bunny took part in Rallies in his Morris Minor and enjoyed Moped Scooter Runs too. Bunny has resided in Dunedin for the last few years but liked to keep in touch with his friends. Our sympathies go to Ruth and family. Thank you to Russell Findlater for painting the Clubroom toilet area. The Night Trial format discussed at the meeting, maybe some changes for next year. Wednesday Run Report Thank you to Barrie Delaney and Graeme Paul for organising the run at the start of the month. A glorious day with 17 vehicles and 34 people met in either Balclutha or Clarksville to travel to Waitahuna area. Afternoon tea was partaken in Lawrence before venturing home. Our grandchildren really enjoyed the outing too. Wednesday Run 7th November
The Otago Branch of the VCC have another good outing planned for their Rally Day. We wish them well for their days motoring.
Annual Clutha Rally – 10 November 2018 If you need an entry form contact Gary Beaumont, Robin McCall or Noeline Milne and we will see that you receive one. Plans for the day are well in hand and we look forward to your support. Friday 9th will be preparing for the big event. Meet at the Clubrooms at 1.30 p.m. if you can help with the usual spud peeling, jelly making and getting all things ready. The Memorial Hall will not be available to us until the Saturday morning so we would appreciate members help on both days’ thanks. Ladies can we please have a salad to go with the evening meal please and something for the morning tea thanks to welcome our visitors and set them off Coming Events October November

Dunvegan Rally Report

Ian McDonald took part in the Dunvegan Rally on his 1972 Honda 350. They travelled to Naseby and Waikouaiti staying at the Sidey Lodge. A great weekend

Canterbury Swap Meet Report Friday turned out to be rather wet but Saturday was good weather. We hear that many treasures were found, not all vehicle related.
