Monthly Newsletter of the Wairarapa Branch of the Vintage Car Club of New Zealand February 2020
Greetings from the Chair......... Well, here we are already at the beginning of 2020 and I would like to wish you all a very happy New Year. Our family enjoyed a wonderful Christmas full of happy memories and we have now scattered all over the country (and the world) to settle back to new opportunities and old routines. Our first run of the season is behind us, thank-you to Simon O’Hara for organising it for us. The weather was hotter than perfect but in all other respects the day was without fault and the turn-out was impressive. Our first Club Night promises to be impressive too. Kaaren Smylie, North Island Captain will be with us to talk about National Rallies and other such matters. It is good to get a wider perspective on vintage motoring, hopefully, Kaaren will do just that. The following Sunday is our first competitive Rally – the Remembrance Rally – details further down. Also in February, we have the Stretched Gymkhana taking place on 22nd Looking forward, we have a busy couple of months coming up and your committee hopes that we have catered for a variety of interests in the Club. If you have ideas of things to do or would like to be more involved, please talk to a committee member. We are here to keep your Club an enjoyable place to participate in our shared interests. Happy motoring - Tina Goodin
