From the Editor: This is the last edition of Drip Feed for 2017, and the next edition will not come out until February. For the very keen, there is a January Noggin. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the role of editor of this prestigious publication since I took over in June, and I look forward to writing more slanderous and opinionated pieces in the future. Thank you to those who have sent contributions and encouraging comments, please continue to do so. Many of you will of read of the passing of three of our members, David Banks, Graeme Curry and James Whitmarsh. Graeme Curry was a Dunedin member and an enthusiastic Buckler owner, and raced at the Dunedin Street Races and at Waimate, where he had more recently lived. James Whitmarsh owned and drove a Singer Bantam and an MG. David Banks owned a variety of cars, and campaigned them all most vigorously. He and Margaret lived across the Kowai River from the Flemings farm at Balcairn, and when James Palmer and I were organising the Balcairn event, David would bring his club eligible Fordson Tractor across and dig holes in the river to trap unsuspecting Austin 7’s. It worked very well. Every year David would want to enter a club eligible vehicle, the Fordson being a good example, and every year we would have to bring in a rule to prohibit it. He had a wonderful sense of humour and delighted in being
