The morning tea’s at Shantytown continue to see a good turnout. If you are at a loose end tea/coffee and a scone are well worth it. And you get a natter with some great company. From the Club Captain - Firstly, a big thank you to Robin Ross for stepping up to assist me with the club captain task. Coming events will start with the Reefton Car Show this Saturday , 3rd July followed by WAITUA 70th Memorial on FRIDAY 9th July. For Waiuta meet opposite Repco at 9.30 ready for a 10:00 am departure. Take your own lunch but Tea and Coffee will be on site. Robin Ross will be your Team Leader for the day. A Mid-winter dinner is booked for 25th July at Barry town Tavern. Meet opposite Repco for departure at 11.30 am. Dinner numbers are limited to 50 so we need confirmed numbers for that. You can call me on 0274317902 or wait for your ringers to call. Final numbers needed by Sunday 18th for the caterer. Next month we have Daffodil day on the 22nd of August. Arrive Anzac park where we will be joined by the Greymouth Rodders [hot rods] 9-930 , Greymouth for display until 11.00- 11.30 . Vehicles will then travel to Victoria Square, Westport for the display 1.00 until 3.30 pm. Food stalls will be on site with the car Display open to the public and a fund raiser for cancer. Vehicle $10 per car , The weather should be more settled by then for a scenic drive up the Coast. Of Interest the committee has been informed there will be an opening weekend on 20-21 November at Granity for the refurbished Lyric Theatre in Granity. The weekend will have an Art Deco theme with lots of activities and stalls.
ROSCO TRIALS What an exciting fun filled day yet again, despite it being bitterly cold and frosty and with a bit of mud thrown in adding to the fun. The track was very greasy and slow which was reflected in the scoring. There were twenty-six cars with lots of brave spectators. My thanks goes to John Boyes for the wonderful photos you have provided for me to share with other members.

NAME BADGES – Also, please contact David Campbell if you would like a name badge. The Branch supplies your first one. VIC FORMS - A reminder to all members who have VIC cards that are due to expire, you will receive a personalised RENEWAL FORM from the National Office at least three months before the due date. You cannot download a form off the internet. They are personalised for each individual vehicle. Please fill in and hand to Branch Secretary. Please note that new applications can be downloaded from the website or contact the Branch Secretary. If you wish to participate in any National VCC Event, you need to have a Vehicle Identification Certificate, don’t leave it until the last minute as it takes some time for the processing of paperwork. If you sell your vintage vehicle and it has VIC Certification please notify NZVCC, POBox 2546, Christchurch. Ph 03 366 4461 or email: admin@vcc.org.nz VERO INSURANCE - If you take your Insurance out with VERO they will then pay the Branch a small Commission which helps with Branch finances. Please note that when applying for Insurance cover with VERO you must quote the Branch number which is 36 plus your membership number.
