Some rough patches so can take a better car. June – mid-year Xmas at the clubrooms Late July – Henry Ford day August – Daffodil day BBQ & baking September – 1st Saturday Swap meet October – Claremount House, $20 pp, tour, tea & scones & gardens November – Run Glenavy- Duntroon & back of Oamaru hope to visit Oamaru VCC clubrooms December - Xmas run/party GENERAL BUSINESS: Peter Bland will step down as Club Captain next month. Brett is the librarian Lyn is publicity officer The tidy up of Bluey’s section is still going ahead New members badges Forklift – Steve, Bill & Brett have a couple to look at. Moved P Bland seconded Jim that Steve, Bill & Brett subject to inspection have permission to purchase forklift. Owen may have another motor. The main road swap meet sign frame has gone missing. Enquiries are to be made as to it’s whereabouts. Look into making use of funding applications. P Bland suggested motor bike only rally next year hosted by our club, possibly the last week of January. Hi guys. It is nearly 12 months since I become chairman. It certainly doesn't feel like it. In saying that it has been a adventure with some up sides and some disappointing cancellations of events due to covid. Somehow we got through this with the club just as strong and the beginning of car runs and events. It's up to the members now to make sure this continues with new ideas to help those who organize these events make them successful. Two new positions will be created at the next AGM this month. One is being a promotions officer and the other a librarian looking forward to see how these positions help the club. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of those members that helped to make this last year a success. Looking forward in seeing our latest purchase. Yep a forklift a big thanks to Bill Steve and Brett that went to Cromwell to look at it. The Imp is finally on the road. A bit of a mission at the finish but I got there. All about brake balancing on those brake rollers that was the final hurdle The warrant and Reg stickers went on the window and away l went only to stop again because the water pump decided to pack it in. So at the moment lm looking for another one. The positive side it goes well. That's it for this month catch up on the 3 passes run on the 15th.

Club Captains Report Another well representative run for April across to Kurow for a picnic lunch by the river. A great day with the weather perfect and location very relaxing. Once again the socialising was great to see and be part of. Well with our next outing we are ramping it up a bit with a drive on Sunday the 15th May. Through the three passes (Meyers, Haka, and McKenzie) while also passing through three gorges. The plan is to meet at the Club rooms at 9am and get away at 9.30. Traveling north to do the first two gorges then onto McKenzie pass (vis Albury) then the Haka Pass with a stop at Cattle Creek Hall for a picnic lunch. We hope to organise for the hall to be opened for us so we can use the halls facilities. Then after lunch the Meyers Pass and the final gorge home. Finishing back at the club rooms for a quick debrief. If the weather turn horrible for this run we will confer that morning and make other arrangements. Junes activity will be a Pot luck Christmas dinner in the club rooms on Sat the 11th starting t 6pm for 7 dinner. There will be entertainment in the form of games and quick quiz. We are making it a mid year Christmas night so please wear Christmas apparel. That’s it for me this month. I have also set up a Calendar of events for the rest of the year.

14th May 2022 The Club has been asked by Lister Home to hold a display of Vehicles at Lister Home at 1.30pm. All members are invited to display their vehicles For Sale 1930 Morris Cowley Light Truck. Chassis built April 1930 Original body built by “Stevens & Sons” ChCh. Rebuilt 1968–72. Good tyres, Engine recond. Nov 2000, New Clutch 2019, Is current Redg &. VIC. Calendar of Events for 2022 Now that we are in Amber traffic light system, I have set up a Calender of events for the rest of this year. If anyone has some good ideas for events please talk to your club captain and get them on this Calender of events. May: 15th three passes and three gorges run. Starting at club room at 9am sharp. June: Christmas in June pot luck dinner club rooms Sat 11th at 6pm. July: Henry Ford day Sat 31th . Starting with a display of cars, trucks what ever ford built starting at 8.30am at Seddon Square. Then a run to a local country pub for lunch and a chatter. August: Daffodil Rally More info on this will be forthcoming. Steve has volunteered to organise this. September: Club Swap Meet Sat the 3rd at club rooms starting at 8am. I have volunteered to organise this. October: Run to Clairmont House at Mt Horrible out the back of Timaru. Date and other info TBA later. November: Teapot Rally December: Christmas Run Sunday 11th more info on this later
Peter Bland and I participated in the North Otago Cycle rally on the 9 th April. There were roughly 38 motorcycle entered in the rally from the 1920, s to the 2000, s We started with morning tea at the club rooms and ended at the Duntroon Hotel for an enjoyable lunch. The afternoon run was back to the clubrooms through the back roads of North Otago for an overall run of about 80 to 85 miles. A very enjoyable day

April Club Run to Kurow Leaving the Clubrooms with around 11 Vehicles...We all Headed off ..Some went on Different Roads...but with One Destination...Kurow for a Picnic Lunch....It was a Lovely Warm Day...with lots of Different Conversations....Even Bonnie the Dog was there to Be part of Our Group as Club Mascot....A nice enjoyable time was had by all who Came....Most of us Traveled back Via Duntroon...some Calling in For a Drink....Can't wait for next Month's Run...Thankyou Peter
