CHAIRMANS REPORT Hi guys. Getting colder Aye. We have had quite a good month with a car run to Geraldine to two museums. Was supposed to be the 3 passes but the weather was not kind to us. It was a good day none the less. We were also to be at Lister home but weather once again wasn't kind. To me to take a little time at these homes with our old cars enhances the precious memories of the people that live there. This visit has been postponed. Got to say thank you for the big turn out of members at our AGM. 2 new positions have been created 1 a librarian and 2 a publicity officer. All I can say watch this space. A big thank you to those members that put up there hands for a position in our club. All positions have been filled. We have taken on a big task cleaning up Blue’s section. We had a big day last Saturday with a wee digger and some spare hands. The day was successful thanks to John and Bill being the go to people for this job at this stage , Thanks to Murphy Farm's for donating the digger and other people with machines that helped clean up. Without these people these tasks would be alot bigger. We are still no where near finished, Remember many hands make light work.. To finish I have the water pump for the Imp from the UK, It has been fitted and has had its first run to Oamaru. Went well it will be on the next car run. Yah Cheers Owen

So I thought I would introduce myself, I became part of the VCC when I met Jim, that was the Ashburton Club.
When we moved to Jim’s home town of Oamaru, I joined the North Otago Branch and . During my stint there I was a Committee member, Vice Chairman, Organiser of 2 swap meets and Secretary. We moved here because of Jim’s Illness and I now manage the Salvation Army Family Store. I hope that over the next year we will have some great times with our monthly ventures and other wee surprises. I am grateful to Peter being there as a support. As we know he has done a great job and I hope you will enjoy what I can offer, some already on the table and some ready at a moments notice. So I will finish with a huge thankyou to Peter Bland for the work and fun he has provided our club. But wait there is more, We will both see you On our Combined Fun Mid Winter Christmas on the 11th June All the Best Lynn
