It definitely is starting to feel like winter these days. Stoke up those fires or turn the heater on and it will be over before we know it. My first meeting as Chairman I was a bit nervous at the start. Then I pulled myself together and got on with the business.
And thanks to Robbie who has stepped up to be our computer expert who will be recording our secretary information from here on in relying on our volunteer secretaries to record the meetings. We have some good events coming up ie Garage raid, Henry Ford day, and Daffodil Day (details in club captains report).
Inward: All events like these are very successful when club members are wright behind them.

Clubrooms Convenor: Margaret Rogers All good. Light bulb to be fitted in main hall. Parts: Keith Blackman: Very quite. Michael Bevin has given boxes of parts to club. Thankyou letter to be sent.
Cheers. Owen. Paddy is in court, and after an 8 hour trial he pleads guilty. Judge says, "Why didn't you plead guilty at first and save the court all this time?" Paddy says "l though I was innocent until I heard all the evidence."
Club Captains Report Coming Events. There were no club events held in June. However, in July we have two events planned and both look like they are going to be a lot of fun. The first event is the Annual Shed Raid to be held on Saturday 24th July and it is Waimate Club’s turn to host. We are currently sorting out sheds to visit. White Engineering have also offered to give a demonstration of their plastic moulding process. The Shed Raid will start at 9.00 am at the club rooms with a cuppa. Everyone will then go to White Engineering for the demonstration. After this attendees will be divided up into smaller groups, with each group going out to two different locations. A lunch of Pea, Pie and Pud will then be held at the Club Rooms - cover charge will be $5.00. After lunch, each group will visit the sheds they did not visit in the morning. We will need some volunteers to help with lunch and to escort out of towners to the sheds. Please contact me if you can help. The Club’s inaugural Henry Ford Day will be held on Saturday 31st July. This activity celebrates the birthday of Henry Ford. We are hoping to make this an annual Club activity. All members are welcome and for those with Ford vehicles (old or new), we are inviting you to put your vehicle on display in the main street of Waimate, near Seddon Park from 8.30 am, for a 9.00 am start. We will display the vehicles until 12.30 pm and then make our way to a local Ford enthusiast’s shed to look at his collection. Afternoon tea will then be held at the club rooms. Members from the Waimate Classic Car Club will also be bringing along their Fords to display. You will see from the Coming Events page in this newsletter, there are planned activities through to February 2022. If anyone has any ideas for other activities, please let me know.
