Matters Arising;- have 20 entries for Wallaby Rally. Chairman took gift to Karan Toor for doing scrutineering for VCC cars at Waimate 50, Keith reported a gift of a carton or trophy glasses from Alan Simmonson to the Club Correspondence;- Beaded Wheels re omission of Wallaby Rally from latest magazine. Usual newsletters, & some emails. Treasurer;- In Roberts absence, Steve presented the report, attached. Moved Steve & Margaret. Club Captain;- Suzanne reported that the the arrangements for the Wallaby Rally were progressing well. Looking into some other thing that the Club could do in the future. Club Rooms;- Margaret said that the Scottish Dancing had asked if they could use the Rooms on Wednesday mornings from 11 to 12, approved. Except for a couple of small thing rest is good. Parts;- Keith said that it has been quiet for last 2 months. passed

General;- Chairman Steve reported that a member John Bell has offered his one owner 1978 Austin Maxi to the Club to do as they wish. He purchased the car New from Veitch Motors in Waimate & it was the last of that type sold here. Motion “That we as a Club accept it as a Club Car for use by members.” Owen Richardson passed

Well I hope everyone had a good and restful Christmas break I have some great news for those that don’t already know JOHN BELL donated his 1978 Austin Maxi to us to use as a club car. He also gave us his spare one in case we need parts. There is quite a bit of history with this car, as it was the last car sold by Gillies Waimate branch, John has owned the car since new. John would like the car to stay and be based in Waimate I have put a motion on the books, that the car stays in possession Of the club to be used as a club car with of course some provisions (to be worked out at the next meeting) Our annual wallaby rally was another success story with a good turnout, 50 odd entry’s, cars all shapes and sizes With Lex Westaby winning overall The weather started out wet but by lunch time we had beautiful Sunshine so in all a very good day A special thanks goes out to Margaret for all the organising and Barry for Doing all the back ground work. I would also like to thank all the members And ladies that brought our afternoon tea and cleaned up a great effort THANK YOU ALL Ann Hind has kindly agreed to do some articles in the beaded wheels And our local papers so a big thankyou goes out to her We still have a few calendars left so please let me know if you want one. Thanks again to all those that helped and supported me and the committee THORGHT FOR THE MONTH DON’T LET ANYONE TELL YOU THAT YOU ARE WORTHLESS ON THE BLACKMARKET YOUR ORGANS ARE WORTH A FORTUNE YOURS IN MOTORING STEVE
Club Captains Report 2020 has started well with a successful Wallaby Rally. The weather played its part with a lovely afternoon for lunch at the Hook Hall, then back to club rooms for presentation of prizes. Margaret pulled the whole rally together, and with a little help from some other members we all had a great day. In mid April we will endeavour to run the Three Passes Three Gorges again. In May we invite you to take a trip to Oamaru to go to the Sunday market, followed by lunch at All Day Bay. June is mid winter Christmas get together, venue to be decided later. July is Henry Fords anniversary, and we will have a short run, afternoon tea and perhaps a display of some sort. Details later.
