Midwinter Greetings from the Chair As I write this we are hunkering down to our first snowfall for a few years. I have a feeling that this year it will not be the last, so keep warm and dry everyone. As we pass the mid point of the year, we are celebrating the fact that in a few weeks we should be basking in sun again. This Sunday 4th July, we will share our postponed “Upside down Christmas” at the Clubrooms (or perhaps, for post-colonials, Independence Day in the U.S. of A). Hopefully the weather will be kind to us. As it was on the Winter Wander – what a glorious day that was! A really lovely day and many thanks to Simon and Hugh for organising it. The day after was our AGM – a good turn-out, thank-you to all who came. I am afraid that you will have to put up with me for another year, but hopefully next year I can become the Immediate Past Chairperson. We were very pleased to welcome Brian Billing to the role of Club Captain to replace Hugh who is remaining on committee. We also welcome Dave Patten and "bikie" Kevin Sullivan, who, I am sure, will bring a bit of balance to the
