July 2020 After an unexpected trip and stay in hospital for a few days it is good to be home and getting on with some everyday things, all be it at a slower pace. The Annual Meeting was well attended on a very wintery evening. Thank you to all who have agreed to be on Committee for the coming year. Members on Committee are Roger Smaill, David Renton, Jay Paterson, Trevor Stoddart, John Cook, Phil Sell and Gaynor Falconer. After many years Stuart Milne has retired as I.D. Convenor with Gary Beaumont looking after this role. Club Captain & Beaded Wheels Scribe is Martin Dodge. Motorcycle Rally Roger Smaill Gary also spoke of Insurance – how vehicles are covered under Public Liability. What happens when they are damaged while, for example, at a repair business. Make sure you are aware of the terms of Insurance.
13 Vehicles started from Tokoiti doing a 48 km run to Balclutha via Kaitangata, here 30 members visited a private collection of the Holgate family. This brightly coloured museum of automobile/Kiwiana artefacts housed in warm surroundings made one soon forget the wintery conditions outside. The chance to view this impressive collection was really appreciated Greg. The outing concluded with tea and cakes at Rosebank Café. Wednesday Run 5th August Meet at Waihola between Tavern and the Fish shop at 1.30 p.m. Ian will have directions to a Car/Kiwiana collection on the Taieri. Afterwards coffee at Wals Café/Nursery on Bush Road. Following the Committee meeting held on 21st July the following was resulted. *****************

Condolences to Paul & Kaye McNabb on the passing of Paul’s Mother. Wednesday Run held 01 July – Report Neville King Our Wednesday run, this being the 1st in 3 months took us on the best and worst roads in South Otago. The Elliotvale Road the worst, badly lacking attention. The Rate payers of Moneymore deserve better.
