February 2022 An autumn feel to the mornings now but lovely sunny days to follow and the evenings are pleasant to relax or potter out of doors. We are being conservative with the rural water but I know the potatoes could do with a good drink and the beetroot etc is the same. Snippets from the meeting – The National Executive will meet on 12th March and the new Logo options for our organisation will be decided upon. I hope those on email were able to view the link I sent. Gary Beaumont is working on the Club Computer problems and hopes to have a good result soon. Neville King reported on the Moped Run held on the Taieri on the 5th December. Approx. 30 people took part with 26 miles travelled. The day was perfect and the participants managed to get finished before the rain began. Visited an interesting restored Historical Stone house property, also a collection of vehicles etc including a D2, John Deere tractor, signage and bowsers to name a few. Trevor Stoddart had trouble with the carburettor off the manifold on his trusty steed but a great day out. Dripping water trouble in the kitchen to be sorted out and spouting in need of a clean. Members volunteered to attend to these jobs. Robin and Margaret McCall enjoyed taking part in the Southland Rally for a non-competitive outing. Unfortunately the Waimate Rally was cancelled as many events are in recent times.

Answer - Taxi Drivers (Good to see we still have one working in Clutha these days) Report of Wednesday 2 February run to Central Otago This had 18 members turn out on a very hot day for a picnic lunch at Roxburgh and later afternoon tea at Millar’s Flat. The proposed drive to Shingle Creek had to be cancelled but remember if passing that way in future Marleen Graham Collectables is always open the first and last weekends of the month. Wednesday Run 2nd March Trevor Stoddart advises to please meet at Clarksville at 1pm ( just over the overhead bridge ) Instructions will be given out for this pleasant drive on seal and gravel to Lake Mahinerangi via Waitahuna from there to Waihola for Coffee & Tea
